Past projects, I usually go off the cuff with the design as we move forward with the build, but it’s nice to have a colored visual of what we’re trying to achieve on this one, not to mention a great marketing tool for potential interested buyers. People in the past have always asked me if I had renderings while I was mid-build, nice to finally say ‘Oh wait, yes I do!’.
Exterior facade will be a mix of brick veneer (jumbo or modular not sure yet), either ACM or hard-coat stucco on the bays, and an aluminum horizontal plank material (mimicking wood) in between for a nice color contrast. Still in the early stages on this one, stay tuned for progress photos and follow the stories to get the play-by-play. TY! 👍

Some progress shots from today. Masons worked ‘til 8 last night so they were a no show today, but that free’d me up to lay out and install the paver lights. It was my first time doing them, a lot harder than you’d think, but we got them in. We temporary lit them up so we know they work ✅. Stucco is coming along nicely, a few more days and it’s a wrap on the stucco! .
Next item up on the agenda....front bay windows and roofs. Had a great afternoon meeting with @victor_bolkhovskiy at their offices to go over the design. TY for all your creative ideas, can’t wait to see how they come out! We’ve come along way since our initial intro in ‘06! Much success brother!

First day of the week...made my rounds, checked up on the jobs, called the crews...most people seem to be either on vacation or catching their breathe so I decided to do the same. Before the day got started, I reached out to my good friend and fellow builder @roytemiz to see if he was free to pay him a visit to his sites..
I had seen him post his recent build on his IG that’s in #newmilfordnj that’s currently on the market, but the pictures don’t do it proper justice. For starters, the curb appeal on this house is 🎯! The kitchen, the mudroom, the grand entry foyer, the master bathroom, the shiplap, the black hardware, all the elements tie in perfectly! It’s always great to see other builder’s perspectives and gain insight on the business from a different lens. It’s also refreshing that whether you’re building in this town, that town, any town; we all go through the same trials and tribulations and can relate. Those conversations are priceless. House is beautiful Roy!! .

What a day! What a day! Very productive day, I got a crash course in Horticulture today and can name every plant and tree sold in a Nursery! 🌳🌿🌲 I should’ve been a botanist! By the weekend, we’ll finally have grass! And maybe even get a cornhole game going in the backyard lol 😂.
