🎬THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
Unmissable 1994 drama based on a book by Stephen King. It tells the story of hot-shot American banker Andrew Dufresne (Tim Robbins) who finds himself an inmate at the Shawshank prison for a crime he says he didn't commit, the murder of his wife and her lover. The movie revolves around Andy's take on this drastic transformation and the strong friendship he forms with fellow prisoner, Red (Morgan Freeman). .
🎬FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL
The 1994 rom-com that propelled Hugh Grant to international stardom. It follows the fortunes of Charles (Hugh Grant) and his friends as they wonder if they’ll ever find true love. Charles thinks he's found "Miss Right" in Carrie (Andie MacDowell), an American, but his timing always seems a bit off.
🎬SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
Directed by Stephen Spielberg this epic war film is up there with the likes of 1917 and Dunkirk. Following the Normandy Landings, a group of US soldiers, led by Captain John H. Miller (Tom Hanks) go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper (Matt Damon) whose brothers have been killed in action.
🎬I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES
Captivating and not just for football fans. It documents the iconic partnership between Brian Clough and his assistant Peter Taylor, but is also a tale of the underdog played out with key interviews, anecdotes and a soundtrack of funk and soul music from the 1970s. A glorious snapshot of a time when PC, was a word for the local bobby. What Manager today would get the team to run through nettles and then go for a pint afterwards? Players smoking at half time? Regardless of your football leanings, the film is about grit and determination in a time gone by.
This 2008 global sensation came with a soundtrack from 1970s supergroup, Abba. It follows the story of a bride to be trying to find her real father. Sophie is about to be married but discovers that any one of three men could be her father. She invites all three (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Starsgard) to the wedding without telling her mother, Donna ((Meryl Streep). So which man will walk her down the aisle?

The scales aren’t everything because fluctuations are NORMAL
in this video I put on 0.4kg simply from drinking 1 litre of water and a extra large coffee .
the past me would have thought I’d put fat on, and would have beaten herself up and been in a low mood in the rest of the day and restrict my food .
but now I realise, the scales can fluctuate, all that’s actually happened in this case, in I’ve retained water from the quantity of liquids I’ve drank .
there are so many factors that can deter whether we lose or gain weight, like what we ate the day before, stress levels, if you went to the toilet or not, hormones, digestion and stress etc
the point I’m making, is it’s easy for weight to fluctuate and I wanted to prove this, to show you that the scale isn’t the be all and end all 🎀
and that you can measure progress is so many other ways, that are likely to positively influence your energy too (like measurements, how your clothes fit, confidence levels, consistency etc) .
my life used to revolve around the scales but now I train and fuel myself for happiness, empowerment and my own forms of progress
and maybe you should do the same? So you can break away from the obsessive scales and create a better mindset and results so you can truly boss your goals 💅🏻 if you find yourself obsessing over the scale?
or if yourself struggling to see other forms of progress
and related to this post
drop me a DM saying ‘cya scales’ and I’ll get back to you ASAP and give you some tips and overcoming this ❤️❤️❤️

Fancy quaffing some grog in an 831-year old inn?🍻 The weather is rotten in Britain at the moment so let's head into the Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem in Nottingham, England until it all blows over. Now this inn is said to have been established in 1189 AD and is the oldest in Britain. There are other pubs that claim to be far older, but how many had Robin Hood as a regular drinker?* Love this by @_alina_dragan_
*That last fact might not be true, but I'm going to run with it. The pub is built into the sandstone caves next to Nottingham Castle and has lots of lovely tiny wonky rooms. Some of it is a bit weird… such as the upstairs lounge which is home to "The Cursed Galleon". It's a small wooden ship covered by what looks like 50 years of dust and cobwebs. It's claimed whoever cleans it will meet a mysterious death within 12 months! Now that would have been a perfect excuse not to clean my room as a kid.
There is another little special thing here - there is an antique chair that locals believe can increase a woman's chance of becoming pregnant just by sitting on it! Blimey! Probably not what you'd expect whilst supping on a Guinness. The pub is next to the ancient Nottingham Castle. The castle on this site was a wooden structure and of a motte-and-bailey design, and was built in 1067AD. How fab is this history.. a perfect place to pop into when the weather is a bit rubbish.
I started this caption in the rain, and now the sun is out! Time to run around the garden with wild abandon. Lovely shot by @_alina_dragan_ 🇬🇧 Want to be featured right here? Follow this account and tag us in the shot! 'Ta!🇬🇧

Recce Platoon have been practicing artillery target procedure in the simulator this week, training to efficiently and accurately neutralise the enemy with fire missions.
Soon it will be 2 years since we moved to England. Since then we explored many beautiful places around the U.K. but it’s only a fraction and we still want to see so much.
But our new home town Nottingham has also many interesting and fascinating places. So I wrote a blog about our 10 favourite places in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Link in bio.

🔅 HP sauce was born in Nottingham.
🔅 Boots (the big pharmacy chain, similar to CVS in USA) AND Ibuprofen originated in Nottingham.
🔅 Nottingham used to be called Snotingham. Glad it didn’t stick!
🔅 One of the world’s oldest fairs is still taking place every year
The very first Goose Fair took place in the city more than 700 years now, all the way back in 1284. Back then people would go to specifically buy geese. The Goose Fair is still an annual event- not to buy geese, but to have fun with friends and family.
🔅The first traffic lights were invented by John Peake in 1866, in Nottingham.
🔅London has Big Ben and Nottingham got Little John! (It’s a bell on top of the Nottingham City Council.)
