Working hard is important, and there are plenty of times where a kick in the pants is warranted. But just as often I find myself having to pull back on the reigns with clients. And increasingly, with myself.
Not every set has to be the hardest set you've ever done. Particularly with neurologically taxing compound lifts. Challenging, yes. But if your last set is notably less productive then your first you might need to take a step back.
There are times where it's useful to grind youself to dust with hard work, true. But not always. Sometimes it's more important to kick a set's kiester into the sun and walk away like you've done it before.

🔹Tricep Gains - Modified Skullcrushers For Better Growth🔹
Skullcrushers are undoubtedly one the best overall tricep mass builders as they target all three heads of the triceps, the lateral head, the medial head and the long head with a focus on the long head. They are most commonly done with an EZ-bar or cambered bar rather than a straight bar in order to try and reduce strain on the wrist.
Traditional Skullcrushers will have the arms vertical with the shoulders in 90° of flexion and bringing the bar down to the top of the forehead. There’s no arguing that you can’t grow great triceps with this variation, but if you can get more out of an exercise why wouldn’t you?
1️⃣ Bring the upper arms slightly angled back towards the head rather than vertical, it is important that they stay locked in this position throughout the motion.
2️⃣ Bring the barbell behind the head, rather than down to the forehead.
3️⃣ Keep a slight bend in the elbow at the top of each rep.
This variation keeps constant tension on the triceps when done properly and slightly increases the stretch of the triceps long head. When in this position torque is increased at the elbow subsequently increasing tension in the triceps. Bringing the bar to the forehead reduces tension on the triceps and often has higher findings of elbow pain.
One 2017 study by Goto M et al. found that training in the mid range of motion (ROM) and keeping constant tension on the triceps lead to nearly twice as much triceps growth as full ROM where tension is lost at the top position.

Have you had the perfect dog up until today, and now they are acting aggressive, pottying in the house, or destroying things?
My client had this exact problem. We trained her lab Maggie together and she was a fantastic puppy. She learned potty training quickly and her obedience commands were on point. She was a kind, loving, and obedient dog.
The client and I parted ways, my services were no longer needed.
Several months later, I received a panicked text from the client. Maggie was pooping and peeing all over the house. She was chewing up everything she could get her little teeth on!
How had this perfect dog morphed into a nightmare? Diagnosis was simple.
The client had recently moved from a single-family home with a fenced-in yard to an upper floor condo. After taking this into consideration, it was pretty easy to figure out what was happening.
The dog was freaked out every time she got into the elevator.
In order to go outside to potty, she had to get into the get in the elevator. Maggie became fearful, clenching all sphincters. She would wander around outside a bit, but not potty out of nervousness. Then, back into the elevator she and the client would go, reinstilling that fear and clenching.
Once Maggie was back in the condo and relaxed she would realize she had to potty! So, she did the only thing she could do – sneak off and go somewhere in the house.
Maggie didn't like to break the rules and potty in the house. She was a good dog. Having to disobey in conjunction with the fear of the elevator built up some serious anxiety. She started to chew up things that didn't belong to her, destroying some of the owner's expensive property.
Once the problem was identified, it was an easy fix. In fact, the client did it herself in 2 days.

I cook rice flakes with almond milk yesterday so it cool down in the fridge over night but you can just chill for a bit in same day.
About 4 tbsp of rice porridge it was quite thick, 2 eggs and about 2 tbsp almond flour, mix all, and cook like pancakes on frying pan I fry without any oil, then cool them down,
spread yogurt on top,

I’ve been in a funk lately. I go through stages of getting so upset with how I look. I know I just had a baby and @christopher_winfield_ reminds me that all the time but it doesn’t make it any easier. And to top it all off I haven’t been able to workout because I’ve been sick 😭. Getting back into it this week though and I hope to have more fitness content soon. If you work at a desk, especially in front of a computer, you already know it’s super important to take regular breaks to get up and move, stretch, etc. ⠀
Another important thing to do is check how your chair, desk and computer are set up – do you have to crank your head forward to see your screen, hunching down and putting lots of pressure on your neck? Or do you have to lean in? ⠀
Take a few minutes to check out your workstation and make some adjustments to make sure it’s not working against you!⠀

But ayye, do you know how to counteract this situation?? You forget about it and just put in the damn work. And that’s why I say SUCCESS is determined by hardwork, period. No successful person will say they didn’t work hard to achieve what they have without hard, very hard, work and determination. All people ever see is the end goal (the finish line) but if you aren’t in love with the process, then the end goal will never come and success will not be awarded.

Want to know how to increase the number of calories you burn over the course of a day – that has absolutely nothing to do with your diet or your workouts? Follow me on this..
Here’s a little background! Your body burns calories to fuel many things over the course of the day:
● Your Basal Metabolism.These are the calories your body burns to power your organs and physiological functions. This accounts for between 60% and 75% of your daily calorie expenditure. (Interesting fact: your liver, brain and skeletal muscle are the top 3 calorie burners.)
●Digesting Your Food. About 10% of your daily calorie intake goes to digest your food! This includes breaking it down, converting it into energy, and/or going through the process of storing it as fat if it’s not immediately used.
●Physical Activity. This category of calorie burn is broken into two groups – calories you burn while you’re exercising (and directly after), and calories you burn while you’re doing other things like walking around, doing chores, engaging in hobbies, etc. Physical activity accounts for between 15% to 30% of your total daily energy expenditure.
It’s that very last category – the calories you burn while you’re NOT working out – are the calories that I’m talking about today.
That’s called non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) and it can make a HUGE difference in maintaining and/or losing weight.
That’s because any “extra” activity you do during the day (taking a shower, walking up the stairs, washing the dishes, doing laundry, playing with kids/pets, etc.) vs. sitting down can add up to HUNDREDS of extra calories burned over the course of the day.
How many calories you burn depends on how much you weigh and how hard are working, but here's some ballpark numbers: (continued in comments👇🏼)
