Nothing calms the mind like the sound of water slowly making it’s way downstream 💧

Yesterday I shared a photo of the Mesa at the Bottom of Tule Canyon where Col. MacKenzie killed 1000 or so of Quanah Parker's horses, ending the Red River wars. A friend asked me if I ever felt the place to be haunted. I have seen a lot of meteors and lightning in the canyon, far more than I see elsewhere. This was the most unusual thing I have seen. The mesa is lit by the full moon. On a cloudless night that cloud appeared and stayed around for about 30 minutes. No other clouds in the sky. This is a very straight photo. I removed the noise that is common in night photos and contrasted it slightly but I added nothing. Do you see a horse in the cloud?
HOW TO TAKE YOUR OWN EPIC TRAVEL PHOTOS
I get asked frequently who takes my photos, so I am sharing that I am the magic behind and in front of the lens. I wasn't ready to let my lack of a travel partner hold me back from capturing epic shots so I started playing with upgraded "selfies".
The best advise someone gave me when I started taking my photography more seriously was to BE SCRAPPY. Make do with what you have and don't be afraid to look a little silly in public.
1) Scope out your frame & try various angles. This way your feed looks natural and from different perspectives.
2) Invest in a travel tripod
3) Take a lot photos --more than what you think you need.
4) Find inspiration in your neighborhood and flex your creativity.
5) GO shoot! Seriously. Just practice and develop a style.
Also— my nips are blurred so don’t report me pls. 🙏🏼🤘🏻

Scrolled through some older shots from Northern Norway and stumbled upon this one. Decided to share it again, so here it is :) have a nice weekend folks!

☀️My new HEALING mugs will be in my etsy shop tomorrow Feb 29th at 7a.m. PST! Which one is your favorite!
🌟Every element on this mug is what helped me heal mentally, emotionally and spiritually after my stroke and right field vision loss 4 years ago. I had to work on BECOMING these things or let others be them for me, in order to heal. Tragedies seem to make me have to take everything I thought I knew and learn how it all fits into my new self. Which means feeling lost for a while. Watch my IGtv series if you'd like to see all of my faults, immaturities, doubts, and fears were worked through and how each element on the mug helped me heal, and continues to. It's a long process for some of us. A continual process for all of us really. And we cant do it alone. I had fam, friends, congregation and professional help. ❤I have received so many encouraging messages from you have viewed my videos. Hearing from you all about how you too have secretly felt the things I felt during the tragedies you have gone through...hearing how the things that I learned struck a cord for you...how you used what I said to help someone in the ministry after watching...hearing so many tell me I was brave to "confess" such things as I did... all assures me that it needed to be said openly so we can stop shaming ourselves for feeling the doubts and fears we feel and know others feel them too and have found their way through them to find the ☀️ again. The way I found mine may be different than how you find yours but maybe it will be the stepping stone someone needs toward finding theirs? That's my 🙏. I have screenshots of your private messages to me about this, to keep just for me, to put in my "treasures in heaven" folder in my phone. Thank YOU all for your responses and sharing with me.

There is beauty all around us each day. Don’t get so focused on the mistakes of your past or your plans for the future that you miss the beautiful moments happening around you every day.
Some lovely conditions when I visited this spot a few weeks ago 😍

@darylswalker - You think James would have made the gap? Some crazy land formations on this part of the Faroe Islands. Looking forward to seeing the islands all brown and 💙🧡

In a world where fear is so easy to focus on and can paralyze us from enjoying the true beauty of life. A simple change of perspective can bring us back to focusing on the things that matter. Focus on loving the friends and family you have. Focus on the good you are able to do in the world. Focus on being better than you were yesterday. And finally, focus on positive solutions rather than negative problems. We can worry all day, but focusing on the positive can help us enjoy life a little more.-
Photography tip of the day: The human element in photos is a powerful thing, even when the person is tiny in comparison. Don’t be afraid to make people small in your photographs, especially when it comes to landscape. It gives a sense of depth and strength to this big world of ours.
