Good by Beijing, HELLO CHENGDU 🐼
Imma be honest, Beijing was not my favorite. I’ll probably write a blog post about why exactly I didn’t like it so much, but it was still incredible to visit such a historically significant city. 🙏🏽
BUT NOW ONTO THE THINGS I CARE MOST ABOUT IN LIFE:
Good food 🤤
Cute animals 😍
and references to Chinese generals 🤩
I had a couple of friends visit Chengdu last year and I was basically spamming their phones with “OMGGG I LOVEE THIS WHERE ARE YOU GOING NEXT ARE YOU GOING TO SEE THIS...etc etc.” bless their hearts for not blocking me. And then one of them said, “why haven’t you gone yet? You should go!” 🤗
And I was like....”well....actually yes. I should. Why haven’t I? WHAT AM I DOING??” 🤔
A few years ago when I was working minimum wage at Wendy’s, I saved $20 a week for 9 months and took a two week (unpaid lol) vacation that felt like A DREAM. I think it’s easy to get wrapped up in quantity over quality (or rather personal value) when it comes to travel. But honestly guys, it’s so rewarding to take those DREAM trips, even if it means you have to save for a year to get there. 🥰
What are some of your DREAM destinations? ✨
We’ve got a packed Sunday full of wedding edits, but first -getting prepped to head up north tonight for another music video shoot 🎥🎶📷 this time with the talented @kaitweston . This powerhouse had one of her original songs in a major motion picture and was on the @theellenshow . Super excited to be collabing/working with her. Let’s make some magic tomorrow✨

A couple days after I got back to Virginia, this sweet man left this world to enter that great beyond. It shook my family to the core for the days following and still continues to bring massive ripple effects these weeks later, but only some of those are negatives. By this, I mean, the loss of a dear loved one brings the opportunity for massive healing between friends and family where there otherwise was not. It has opened eyes to the need for much closer relationship; to a current lack of intimacy and the chance to rebuild. Mourning and loss is a painful and heart wrenching experience, but I am thankful for family members that saw the open door to a new start and a fresh awakening in love. If you are going through a season of loss or hurt, take a moment to step outside, breathe the fresh air, and take an aerial view of what ways this may be an opportunity for further healing and spiritual, emotional and mental growth. I miss you dearly, Grandpa, and am saddened by the many conversations we never got to have about recent adventures, but I stand knowing how equally thankful you would be for the growth that has happened since your departure. You are so loved.
FAQ: Will our community see the benefits sooner than later?
YES! When the resort is under construction, the investors will pay over $850 million dollars in wages to local workers. From construction workers to retailers, from restauranteurs to mountain bike stores, we will inject a revenue stream into our community.

Little Quest, big world.
I work this Saturday so I took today off to spend some (much needed) time with @pawsofthepnw. We don’t get to hike together as much as we want—and our hikes never go as planned 🤦🏻—so we get really excited when we get to take a day off to hang out with her and her beautiful dogs. One day I hope to win the lottery so her & I can just hike every day.
The more I take her out the more excited I get for bigger adventures with her (and Sully). Learning to hike with two dogs is going to be an adjustment, but more time on the trails together will help Sully get used to her... hopefully.
Swipe to see a picture Kristen got of BBQ & I 🥺 Either she getting bigger or I’m just smol... or both.
Arrasta pra lado, compartilha e aguarda bem guardado! 😉
We arrived in Rio earlier this week on Day 3 of Carnival! Carnival in Rio is a time when all colours of the rainbow unite. It doesn’t matter your age, race or background, there is something for everyone to enjoy it!
Entire families celebrate carnival together, from the kids to the grandparents. With several blocos (street parties) thrown just for families! So whilst we didn’t see the world renown official Samba parades at the Sambadrome, much to Zara’s disappointment, we did enjoy embracing the Carnival spirit in a more family friendly kind of way! We walked the colourful streets of Copacabana & spent a day on Copacabana beach, people watching and soaking up the sun.
By night we went to a family friendly block party called Bloco Ultimo Gole, in a nearly park that had music and dancing, people in costume, as well as kids activities like bike rides, jumping castles and a playground.
☁️ I was gonna post a photo of me all smiley but that just ain’t the reality of it right now and this more realistic. // 🧸 note to self: health is wealth.

"One of those moments where you want to just set down the camera and remove yourself from the distractions to truly live in the present. This was one of those moments. Sunrise on Half Dome is something special." - @bradschwartzrock

I can’t imagine I’ll ever be bored of these beautiful city streets. 🍂☁️ Are you more of a city or country person at heart? Where would be your dream spot to live? I’m definitely more of a city person and it would be an absolute dream to spend some time living in New York ✨

Thanks so much for the lovely comments on yesterday’s mini bio post. Trying to look at your life objectively and pick out the salient facts is strangely tricky but I’d recommend it (mostly because I’m nosy and would love to know more about all of you! 😄) Anyway, here’s a Frome classic for you - fingers crossed for good weather next weekend as I really need to get out and about again! I think we all feel the same? Happy Monday everyone 😊🍃💛🍃👋

As you can probably tell I was incredibly excited to eat the sandwiches and scones. I ordered the Landmark Blend tea, which was absolutely perfect! @the_landmark_london
