Simplesmente passou a me humilhar, acusar, difamar, caluniar. #euassumominhahistoria #seuodionaomeatingiu #aleidoretorno

The “woke” church is a state of never ending, constantly offended unable to forgive existence. It constantly wants you to look back just far enough to all the transgressions and sins against your ethnicity, but it never wants you to look back far enough to see the cross. The woke church is not the biblical church, plainly stated. #reformed#reformedtheology#pastor#quote#quotes#jameswhite
Yesterday I was invited by a group of students of the University of Amsterdam to join them to a field trip. They would go on a field trip to the church of the Salvation Army at the Red Light District..💃🏾 Where they would learn about the history and purpose of the Salvation Army. So.. I was like okay.. I will join you. Haven't been to church in a minute, but you know, who cares right?! Learning is always fun.👩🏾💻 So we went to the church and one of the employe started talking about the history and purpose of the Salvation's Army. While the employee was talking. I noticed he felt gravitated towards me while he was speaking as if he wanted me to validate or confirm what he was saying. 🤔
After he was done with his speech about the church he wanted to know who was interested in a carreer in the theological workfield. While he was asking this question he skipped the answers of the other students and asked me if I was interested in working as a Pastor in a church because he tought it would fit me.👀 I was kind of caught of guard because here I was.. the only black person in this meeting and to be asked something is uncanny. Afterwarts the people of the Salvation's Army greeted everyone. We shook hands. And there it was, again. He greeted me and made a notion of telling me that he would be seeing me back as a "sister" (in the church). ⛪
Angels appeared to shepherds near by and told them about the good news of the birth of Jesus. The shepherds went and found Mary and Joseph for themselves. When they saw Jesus they could have stayed and enjoyed His presence. But they didn’t. Instead they left and shared this wonderful news with everyone.-
God loves us and blesses us but we are not meant to stay and bask in His goodness. We need to be like the shepherds and go out and share the Good News with everyone.- #gospeladvent
Glass half empty or half full?
What you place your perspective on has the power to imprison you or free you. If all you can see is what you lack or what is NOT happening in your life, you will live in the lack. If you can look with a lens of truth and see where God is working, where God is blessing, you become free too walk in his enough.
Sometimes our trials and troubles become small and almost trivial when we see others who’s needs far surpass our own. We are challenge in the book of James to “count it as joy when we face trials of many kinds.” Joy is choice. Joy is a perspective. Joy frees you.
Choose to see that even in the trial God is present and working in middle. Choose to see joy and find freedom. .
... A study was done with subjects set in a dense forest with no gps and told to walk straight for 2 hrs, sometimes in the day sometimes at night. When it was heavily overcast with no sun or moon to guide them, they would inevitably travel in a circle. We have an unconscious directional bias that we're completely unaware of that we continually overcorrect towards. With something so seemingly simple, what else in our lives could be under the influence of blind spots?
Just some thoughts. Have compassion for yourself and extend that same compassion towards others. Compass is right in the word, if we realize that pain has created directional bias we gain compassionate understanding for others. If pain creates unconscious bias then Jesus is the compass.

One of the most talked about topics in the entire Bible is the power of words and the influence they have on the direction of your life (Prov 15:4, Prov 18:21, James 3:6).
If you have an inner circle full of people who are indifferent, negative or just flat out giving you bad advice, you may need to re-evaluate who you let speak into your life.
Shortly after Jesus’s death, the Thessalonian church rose up in Greece and modeled the type of community we should be seeking in our lives.
In 1 Thess 5:11, the Apostle Paul commends the local community for their ability to encourage one another and build each other up.
If you look deeper into the Bible, you’ll find some of the key ingredients towards building each other up.
When the people around you speak gracefully (Col 4:6), avoid saying anything unhelpful to you (Eph 4:29) and are able to give you the hard truth *in love* (Eph 4:15), we’re empowered to take meaningful steps towards growth.
But mostly, it’s those who speak from a place of seeking wisdom from God (James 1:5), not their own opinion, that are able to best help you figure out God’s will on your life.

For as much as Sunday’s feed your soul, that progress will be undone if your entire week is spent apart from God.
The Bible emphasizes the importance of receiving our “daily bread”, to which Jesus labels himself the “bread of life”.
We live our most satisfying and fulfilling lives when our pursuit of Jesus becomes a daily practice.
It comes in the active decision to make prayer, Bible reading, worship and community with others the main priority in our lives.
Just like healthy food is nourishment for the body, this pursuit provides the proper nourishment for the soul.
