For these words, ive struggled to find where i fit in this body positive community and truth is, i just dont.
Ive been seeking weightloss since Oct last year because i want my body back, i want my knees fixed and i want to be able to fit in my car comfortably.
And if this is what i need, its ok. 'Today I sucked. Today I was a shit show. And today, I loved myself.
I haven't stepped foot inside a gym in a long time. The gym and fitness used to be my happy place. I trusted my body. I felt strong. Today? I hit a million walls and more. I felt the pressure of the weight I've gained from the last year on my body and my joints with every step.
I'm not going to tell you it's rainbows and sparkles to get back into fitness if you've fallen away. It blows. But it can still be done. And, just because it isn't easy it doest mean you shouldn't do it.
I spent the first chapter of my journey focused on my body. In this last chapter, I really dug deep into trauma and my own healing. There is not a single ounce of that would trade the weight I gained this year for the knowledge and healing. Coming BACK to the gym now, I am at a different stage of my growth. And so it was damn time for me to start loving on this body again.
Some of you may be asking me, why I would push myself if it doesnt feel good? Is that diet culture telling me I need to be thin? Fuck. No. It's my knees asking for relief. It's my lower back. Its my energy. It's my muscles. It's my ENTIRE BODY SCREAMING "USE ME AND LOVE ME YOU BEAUTIFUL HUMAN!" Oh. And guess what? Its OK to want to lose weight. Its OK to want to be in less pain. Its OK to want more freedom in your physical body. Just understand WHY you are doing it and WHAT you are really looking for.
So I sucked today. I walked a slow trudge on the treadmill at a level 10 incline for 10 mlm minutes. I did leg press. I did squats. I did some arms. And then I left.
I didnt have to be perfect today. I dont have to be perfect EVER.

It happens to all of us at some point. A moment where we need to be grounded.
It may be you have got a huge promotion quickly, you may have got sucked in to a way of thinking or behaving because you think it is the norm or you simply may have got fixated on something so much that you lose sight of what is important.
Many carry on in this manner because either they don’t have people around them holding them accountable or because strangers do not feel it is their place to question it. As such, the behaviour continues.
It’s not good for anyone. Not the person who requires a check but is blissfully unaware, not the people pleasers who learn to live with the behaviour, and not the rest of society who may at some point be in on the receiving end of the behaviour which has never been checked.
Like anything, there are varying degrees. Most of us who have a moral compass know our core values but they sometimes they can be momentarily forgotten because of external factors.
In order to be the best version of yourself, you need to comfortable with being checked. You need to surround yourself with people that challenge and question you when needed. It can be hard to hear but eventually serves as an important realisation that you wouldn’t have figured out on your own.
We must remember that this is not just a one sided affair. In order to ensure that others are being the best versions of themselves and are contributing to society in the best way possible, we also need to be brave enough to keep them in check whenever possible. If something doesn’t sit right with you, explain why. If you think there is a better way, let them know. If you just don’t understand, ask the question. It may be these simple acts that cause someone to stop, reflect and do better. @lifeforeverchanged was my check today. Who is keeping you in check?

Heading into this new week like...
There’s a bunch of to-do items I wanna ✔️this week so I can enjoy a “makers retreat” I have planned for myself toward end of the month. I’m going to have a little bit of extra “me time” in the evenings for a few days, so I’m excited about putting more effort in moving forward with a creative endeavor! 😃

We are in a state of constant alchemizing at this moment in time and there is an influx in this shifting state. History tells us that alchemy was the act of turning metal to gold. In this age, it is our consciousness that is turning to gold, our soul on a deeper level and at a rapid pace.
We do this by freeing our mind from its limits, expanding beyond the mind and its mental chatter. The golden reward is moving into a time of multidimensional living and expansion as a Collective.
Be open to receiving messages during this time. We are all from the same energy, the God energy and vibration, the oneness. Even when we receive messages or ideas as an individual, they are from the same source and for greater good.
What comes to mind are those Plasma balls of lightening we played with as kids. At the center of the ball is the Source of electricity. When one person touches the plasma sphere, electricity swims to their finger. Then another person touches the sphere and again the electricity swims to their finger. Even though each person touching the plasma ball is having their own experience, it is all from the same source. Everything is connected. .

it’s scary now, and it’ll be even scarier if you push the thing you want most OFF.
it’s scary to start and it’s scary to start all over, but if you don’t then you’ll forever wallow in the feeling of being “stuck”.....
I want you to know, that anyone who has been successful, started without knowing what the next page even looked like or what the hell they were doing..... they just prioritized themselves and prioritized their goals.
they jumped in, made HUGE strides just to be followed by mistakes, fails and lessons but they kept pushing.
you have to have some sort of respect for yourself. who cares if you fail?! get up and make it happen tomorrow, and if you fail again..... GOOD it just means you have so much more to learn and grow. when you reach your destination you’ll look back and laugh.
BUT if you don’t start, or you quit...... you’ll just look back and wonder what if.....
you’re better than that.
toughen up, because no one is going to hand you your goals and desires. that’s on YOU

I want to ask you a hard question:
Who are you surrounded by? Who constantly has influence in your life?
Because that, my friend, will change the game for you.
Are you surrounded by people who are going out, always drinking, waiting for the weekend, and complaining about almost every little thing? That will effect your decisions, your mind, and your heart pretty dang quick.
Are you surrounded by friends who talk about boys + girls, relationships, sleeping around, or dating non stop? That will stir up a LOT of junk in your heart
Let me cut to the chase:
PLEASE. Please be careful, be intentional, be SMART, about who you're spending lots of time with. CHOOSE your close friends. Find people who are going to help push you CLOSER to your goals, not pull you further away.
You want to be more driven, productive, and focused? Find people who have the same mindset!
You want to start working out + eating healthy? Choose friends who are just as determined to make that happen.
You want to learn how to be happily single + thriving in other areas of your life? Surround yourself with friends who are going to talk about LIFE, dreams, goals, Jesus, and so much more! (the non-stop boy talk is absolutely garbage, girls, cut it out)
Friends influence heavily. Please choose carefully. I don't care how strong you are, you'll be fighting upstream if your community isn't running alongside you. And I can guarantee you, they're pulling you harder than you realize.
So be smart. It might take time, but build a team around you. People who have your back. Who support you no matter what. Who aren't scared to call you out if you're messing up, cheer you on if you're killing it, and speak life and truth into your heart. ✨♥️

I used to think that to “stand up for myself,” I had to do something. Say something. Make a declaration.⠀
But here’s the thing–my fierce factor is lightning fast. I grew up in an environment where it was imperative to stand up to a bully immediately, showing them you weren’t taking any shit, so that they’d leave you alone.⠀
Then somewhere towards the end of my twenties, long past the days when I regularly encountered bullies, it dawned on me that even when someone was being a bitch (or, as my more evolved self might phrase it, “someone lacking integrity”), I didn’t feel so good when I thought or said words like “Stop being such a bitch.”⠀
Sure, I could “stand up for myself,” but I didn’t like who I was, when I spoke that way. Also, I was coming to a greater realization that whatever I thought was going on “out there” with other people, was also something that was going on “within me,” too.⠀
In other words, we’re all just doing this human thing together, and unkind words were like pollution of a shared common space.⠀

Authoritative is parenting style number 4. Yes this is the ideal style but real life doesn’t always give you ideal situations so I’d like to remind parents to not feel guilt around their parenting, but rather acknowledge where you can do better and be open to learning 💗 And for those that didn’t receive this type of parenting is okay to grieve that as well. But there can be elements of our personality that we aren’t quite ready to face yet. And avoidance is a good teacher. If you find yourself resisting, pay attention. .
I learned this back when I initially rejected my Enneagram test results. I didn’t even read the report. I was resisting. .

I’ve obviously been super open about wanting to help certain people. But I haven’t exactly been open about how I also want to help certain other people...✨
People that have depression and anxiety.
See, mental illness has a bit of history in my family and I didn’t want to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings accidentally.
But during this process of my program creation, I’ve found myself getting super super nerdy about epigenetics, neuroscience, and the mind and just really feeling an ignition in my heart... and I felt a pull..
And if you guys listen to anything I ever share and teach, it’s that- your “gut” feeling, your intuition, is the thing that you need to listen to 💯 percent of the time.
So I had this pull...
And then boom.⚡️
There was a calm steady voice that was like- yes this is you and this is what you want to do so why are you not reaching them?
I then realized Omygg..I was playing small and holding back.
I was leaning into fear of judgement instead of into faith and integrity of my heart.
And in doing so, I wasn’t being of service to others that want help.✨
So while the terms depression, bipolar, and anxiety are used loosely nowadays..
And while people continue to create stigmas about them..
Your illness does not define you.
I will stand tall over here..
Holding a space for those who desperately want to bet on themselves for once instead of betting solely on medications. And before you flip out, yes some medications can be wonderful and some are needed. But they are not the only thing to stock your arsenal with.. And many also have a history of extensive side effects, and ruining if not ending people’s lives. 300,000 people die every year from their prescribed medications.
You guys..Prozac has the same effect as taking a placebo (sugar pill). Which means what? That MINDSET IS EVERYTHING.🧡
SO MUCH can happen through the process of rewiring and transforming. —

When we are learning something new, we can’t expect to be perfect the first time we try doing it.

When it comes to how to use credit cards, this is the best advice to take to stay out of debt and build credit.
My high school Economics teacher taught me that debt is money that doesn’t belong to you.
Shopping and increasing your cost of living is not leveraging your credit at all. It’s digging you a hole that’s very difficult to climb out of.
Before we get stuck in a whole that’s too deep, AKA bankrupt. Use this small saying every time you want to just swipe it on the card.
If you don’t have it in your account, then why are you putting it on credit? Start managing your credit cards like a debit card and watch how you avoid interest like the a breeze.

The ego is not evil, it’s necessary. But once you manage this information you need to take action and use it to create more self awareness.⠀
If the ego is everything that I’m not in my inherent nature, then the way to experience my true self is by detaching from the ego.⠀
Detachment is the only thing that could allow your true nature to surface.⠀
You can practice detachment with simple acts of kindness, humanity, and service. ⠀
You can start by quitting on some habit that is harmful to yourself or others, by giving some of your time in favor of something that you want to support, or by trying to spend a day without some of the things that you have become attached to and experiencing yourself without those accessories.⠀
There are many tools for self awareness that I’ve shared with you, take advantage of those: videos, books, posts, classes. ⠀
And after all that, simply close your eyes and experience how it feels to be in complete stillness.⠀

“New year, new me!” But the old you is still hanging around... You have to kill the old you. There are things the old you just doesn’t understand, and its the one thing holding you back from being who you want to be. It’s not easy but just think about who you would be if you were to have pushed through all the difficulties in life and never given up. Don’t listen to the old you that tells you enough is enough. It’s a long and difficult road, and remember you aren’t the only one struggling with it. Persevere and the world is yours..
