This is what happens when you’re working in your hubby’s workspace for a little bit. I made this sticker to put on the back of my car and then I decided to leave it inside one of Charlie’s toolboxes as a nice little reminder instead.
Now hopefully he’s not mad about me marking up his stuff...🤔🙃😂
I always find myself with a super long “To Do” list lol, how about you?
There are the usuals like house chores and grocery shopping, there are the family things and kid related to do’s, and then there are the things I want to do to improve my life experience in fun or productive ways as well.
I’m participating in a fun 5 day challenge right now with @rewriteyourmindset and today’s “to do” is to take inventory of my social media diet (what info I’m consuming and the accounts I’m following) to see how I can clean it up and purposefully curate it so that I see more of what makes me feel good and motivates me , and less of the other stuff!
Loving this exercise/task and so grateful to be learning new things! I’m already feeling a bit lighter emotionally!
Have you taken inventory of your social media diet recently? If not I highly suggest trying it!
Thanks @rewriteyourmindset for the challenge!
On a side note...I’m grateful I’m not outside cleaning up 🍁 leaves lol!
We are gearing up for our last boutique before the holiday season. My sister Jordyn and I have been very busy working away in our bead shop while trying to balance getting ready for school finals. It’s definitely not easy, but I know the kids we will help this December will appreciate everything we bring to them from the money raised. Come out and visit us this Friday, Dec 13th 8AM - 4PM at the holiday boutique. All details are posted on our Facebook.

Fellow nurses, just a quick heart-to-heart: the other day I had a lil encounter with another nurse during report at shift change. Maybe I shouldn’t have called her out for being rude but I have a HUGE problem with people disrespecting others, especially when it’s your own Co-worker and please don’t even dare try to use the excuse “it’s been a long shift.” We all have them. And let me tell y’all, I have cried numerous times from horrible shifts at work and do I ever take it out on others? Nope. Because if it wasn’t for my Co-workers, I would NEVER make it through, so my advice to you all, especially nurses, don’t EVER disrespect each other. Don’t “eat your young.” Support each other because we’re in this together! #rn#nurse#nurselife#teamwork#teamworkmakesthedreamwork#bekind#pma#positivemind#positivevibes#positivelife#scrublife

When we talk about frequency, we generally refer to the number of times you repeat a certain action. But frequency also refers to a wavelength – for instance, your favorite program on the radio.
To be successful, you need to be dialed into the right frequency.
Today has been a busy day, trip to hospital for more blood tests 😭 2 nativities, Christmas shopping, trip to the post office to place more orders a brand new website launched to the team which is incredible and in between all that excitement at this moment in my car I had a little cry.
Most probably the emotion of seeing my babies and their friends in their little nativities.
But also a picture came up on my memories and it made me really sad.
Sad how different things can change in 12 months. Sad that people I thought were some of my closest friends, whom I'd commited so much of my time to being their friend. Being there for them when they needed me. Going out of my way to show them that I cared. Making them a priority in my life. Yet I have barely heard from these "friends" in recent weeks in my time of need, when my whole world came crashing down, when I felt like breaking, when I lay awake at night crying and worrying for my family and our future. When iv needed a shoulder to cry on or just to hear someone tell me it will be OK or to feel like I mattered to them like they once mattered to me.
Although 2019 has been a great year for so many reasons I am also excited to close the door on this year and welcome 2020 with the right people in my life. In a company that really does appreciate what I do, the qualities I have and the person I am and with my family and friends. The real ones.
I have bad days. I have bad hours, days, and even weeks. But I don’t talk about it as much as I do about the good days, and that’s intentional. I’m not pretending they don’t exist, I just choose to focus on the positive. .
Last night I received a letter from Marcus’ cardiologist reminding him to schedule his annual appointment. I’m currently wallpapering my dining room with his tools, his handwritten initials on them. I get his emails and business invites from people who don’t know he passed away. I have daily reminders of him, even at almost 11 months after he died. It still hurts, but not nearly the same way it did when he first died thankfully. But sometimes acknowledging how much I’m managing mentally is helpful in itself. I am doing a lot. I have to think about a lot. And it is heavy. .
I won’t let the bad days weigh me down and become bigger than they are. I allow myself to be in those hard moments, process my feelings and understand what triggered me. Why it’s hard. And then I decide what to do with it. I am acutely aware of where I am at mentally and seek help and assistance when I need it. The hard emotions are not bad at all, don’t get me wrong. I just choose to process it. Not let it take control of me. So just because I’m not publicly proclaiming my pain, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Everyone processes pain and trauma differently, and mine is very analytical. I want to grieve the best possible way, and I’m not suppressing anything. So just keep in mind that when you observe someone in a situation, there’s always more to the story! And this is how I process MY pain. And it won’t be the same way someone else processes theirs. And that’s ok. I will give power to positivity, power to healing, and power to progress. .

“The trouble is, you think you have time.” We put off important things, assuming that we can do them later. But there may not be any “later.” Life is short; make good use of it. Notice your breathing, aware that each breath comes only once. Each breath is unique. Being aware that the breath you’re taking right now will never come again makes it seem more significant and worthy of attention.
"Being beautiful is not just about the way you look physically. It doesn’t matter if you wear the fanciest clothes or the most expensive jewelry. What’s more important is your inner beauty; what is inside your heart and how you treat others matters more."
Being kind to others makes you more beautiful." ✡️☯️
