My face when my Mums are arguing for the 100th time about which is the superior Pride & Prejudice adaption, the BBC mini-series or the 2005 film version 😑
I am a great lover of Jane Austen's novel 'pride and Prejudice' and has read the books.
I have also watched every Pride and prejudice, there is.
Death comes to pembley, and lost in Austen.
And in 2006 there brought out pride and prejudice and Zombies, and I must say I really enjoyed the film. I also have the book by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame - Smith.
I do hope that they do make a sequel the p.a.p.a.z.
What is your favourite Jane Austen book/movie.
Let me now in the comments below ⬇⬇⬇⬇

So this weekend, I watched two movies I've been meaning to forever: A Simple Favor and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. Both are based on books so I thought why not share my thoughts on both. . .
Firstly, ASF was quite the little treat. Blake Lively returning to the Upper East Side makes me fangirl like crazy and the fashion, oh the fashion! Decent story with plot twists and all that were okay - I mean come on, there's only like two or three possible ways for the movie to end. Overall, I was intrigued and enjoyed it thoroughly. . .
Good evening my bookish friends!! Happy Scrunchie Sunday!! How was your weekend? I hope you had a great weekend with lots of time for reading! 😊.
Okay friends, I'm obsessed with scrunchies!! Especially scrunchies with a bow!! I wear a scrunchie to work literally every day 😁 I NEED all the scrunchies! @fablebands makes the most amazing scrunchies and many of them come with a bow option luckily! 🤩 Please remember to use my Rep Code DUCHESS10 to save on your #fablebands purchases whether you are scrunchie obsessed like me or more of a headband fablebandit or need both in your life (also me!) 😘.
QOTD: What is your go to hair accessory? 😊.
AOTD: Scrunchies all the way! I rock them like it's the 90's all over again!! Also I like headbands of course! I also always have hair ties and bobby pins at the ready 😉☺.
🤣 I love Mr. Darcy but on my mama, if someone said "she is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me" about me, I wouldn't be able to get past that... like not even for the "beautiful grounds at Pemberly". smh, men. .

I’m so excited for all the shows I’ve got coming on tonight, but especially Sanditon. It’s so lovely to have some fresh Jane Austen content to explore. Pride and Prejudice is still the best though.
Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" just happens to be my all time favourite book, so it was an especially appealing commission for me to make a demi-character costume for a dance portraying Elizabeth Bennet. My client supplied the beautiful printed silk Georgette fabric that makes up the top layer of the double layer skirt. The Spencer jacket is made from a stretch velvet, made from McCalls pattern M7493.

I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
So many things are happening around and inside of us, it is easy to miss a revelation. I wonder what I am missing at this moment that will reveal itself in future contemplations?? SK
The fabulous White’s edition of Pride and Prejudice...would love to find a reasonably priced copy of this hard-to-find book! No luck so far... #janeausten#prideandprejudice#classicbooks#longliveclassicbooks#beautifulbooks#beautifulbookcovers
Long time, no post. Rough couple weeks around here. Good news is that I had my ultimate “comfort listen” to keep me going. I listen to the @recordedbooks P&P once a year, narrated by the late great Flo Gibson. Gibson’s narration is perfection and truly does justice to this wonderful novel. Gibson recorded P&P in 1980 or maybe ‘81 and, for some reason, it gives me pleasure to imagine her recording (in London? NYC?) as I sat in my kindergarten classroom in Ohio, little knowing that a story that would mean so much to me was being brought to life in a recording booth. #book#booklife#booklove#bookstagram#audiobookstagram#prideandprejudice#reading#audiobook#audiobooks#recordedbooksinc
¡hola! miren qué lindo marcapáginas. hey arnold era mi serie favorita de infancia 💓🥰 desgraciadamente el año pasado remodelaron mi casa y no he podido volver a encontrar los demás que tenía.

Pride & Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgain era. Mr. Bennet is an English gentleman living in Hertfordshire with his overbearing wife and five daughters. If Mr. Bennet dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependent on the daughters making good marriages.
I’m really excited to be working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in English Literature at the University of Oxford. I need to take six online electives to earn my certificate and I’m kicking off with an elective on my favourite author, Jane Austen. I have always had a passion for English literature, with English being my favourite subject in school. I studied business in college so I could make money! Now I can actually study something I’m genuinely passionate about, so I’m over the moon about this one. 🌝 The course doesn’t start until April but I have a lot of re-reading to do between now and then, so I’m starting with my all time favourite. #prideandprejudice#janeausten#oxford

To commemorate romance this weekend: my favorite literary love story followed by some photos of celebrating my real life one 💕 My Mr. Darcy got me a bouquet of roses and dinner on Friday, even surprising me by coming home early! And yesterday the surprised kept coming with a Valentine’s Day high tea! Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day!

I had always wanted to attend the Pride and Prejudice tea at my favorite tearoom and this year we got a spot! It did not disappoint 🍰☕️💕 I tried cucumber sandwiches for the first time as well as a meringue which was my new favorite thing. The teas I tried were 1776 and the Naughty Vicar 😂 Both excellent. 👌🏻

"No matter where life takes me, I now know I must be a relentless thorn in the side of those who refuse to amend the status quo"
[·_· good thing my account isn't known for its aesthetics cuz I'm low on good locations in my place to take good pics 🤣
This is my haul from the past 2 days. The bottom 4 books are from a library sale shelf while I was browsing for @karalinnea 😉
Then I nabbed a waterlogged copy of Magic for Liars off IG cuz $5 was too good a price for a new release hc (I don't mind crinkly pages, in fact I like the sound). Unmarriageable was my most recent win from librarything and it's perfect cuz it's another P&P retelling (set in Pakistan I believe). Then the piece de resistance is my Chiltern classics P&P! That thing is hefty and I love it.
I love a novel. Although I only saw it in books... Upside down Because that's how I feel about romantic love these days.
Pride and prejudice is my favorite romance. Mainly the film based on this incredible book.
#QOTD : What are some of your favorite weddings or marriages in literature? .
Hi friends, it’s me again! Thanks so much for being so sweet to my guy during his account takeover on Friday! It ended up being really fun for both of us to switch and be on the other sides of everything for the day. Today we are out and about doing some wedding things in Washington, and it has been lovely so far! It is feeling crazy how soon everything is coming up. Keep thinking good thoughts for us getting everything done on time!

Yesterday I made little stickers for my coffee bottle based on my favorite series and films. For Guernsey I made the little sprig of flowers Dawsey pulled out of Juliet’s hair 💓

Hello Janeites! So I FINALLY watched Little Woman with my bestie and...it delivered! I was nervous going into this because it had big named attached and was a remake of a classic etc etc. There are a million reasons why this could've gone wrong. But I still really wanted to watch it, and I loved every second of it. They keep making new ones for a reason and it’s obviously because the story itself is timeless. It felt like I was watching Little Woman for the first time again, completely stand alone from the 90s version. 💕.
The things I loved: the sequencing (which added so much to the movie. We met our characters earlier on so that we could fall in love with them. And even Amy and Laurie's love story had some foundation and basis to it. Another thing I loved was the casting (it was amazing to Saoirse Ronan play Jo with a perfectionist that I thought only Wynnona Ryder was capable of. I also loved Emma Watson as Meg and of could Mr. Norton who will always be a period drama hearthrob to me! Timothée Chalamet as Teddy was a great choice acting wise but compared to Bale, he just looked a lot younger. But his chemistry with Jo was 💯) I also loved the beautiful soundtrack and cinematography itself. And of course the way Greta Gerwig handled Beth's story was beautiful. 💕.
What I didn't like: to be completely honest, I loved it all. Even the way she handled the awkward love story of Amy and Laurie. I would've asked maybe for a little less chemistry between Jo and Teddy but it's the story and I love how GG didn't hold back or dumb anything down for us. We felt every emotional up and down. Which was a delightful cinematic experience - one which I count myself so lucky to have seen in an actual theater versus my laptop. Thanks for all your comments as it pushed me to to watched this cinematic gem! Have a great rest of your Sunday! #littlewomen#littlewomen2019 .
