Here’s a little life update for y’all: I started my third year at OSU in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology program! I also started working as a Nightly Operations Leader at ASOSU SafeRide 😁 You may have seen some of these pictures floating around on the @asosusaferide Instagram but I wanted to tell everyone else on here too. I’m super excited to have a role in facilitating better and safer rides home for students this school year. It’s been interesting so far and I can’t wait for more! #safety#comfort#professionalism#studentcentered

Our October meeting was great with our guest speakers the GIA, Global Initiative Alliance. 🗣They are taking action to find creative ways to reuse plastic waste. 🌎 We have many community and social events to come, if you would like to join email us or attend our next meeting on Nov. 20th. 🗓
Another happy customer for the book.
If we keep adding all this 5 stars review we are going fo run out of numbers.

...One of my absolute favorite things about excellent mentors & leaders is their ability to give constructive criticism. Not only is it inspiring to make changes, but it is also at their level they are the first ones to show you how things are supposed to be done. They give you zero breaks, but also let you know when you’ve done things well! 🥳
Ladies & Gentleman, as we learn to level up, change happens. Let me be the FIRST ONE TO TELL YOU that you will fail. You will let people down. You will outgrow folks. Others will outgrow you. You will be extremely vulnerable & perhaps lonely. You might even upset tons of people along your truth-filled way...I just want to send out a LOT of encouragement that whatever you decide to do, know that you can also succeed!
Yes, YOU!!! Win. Remain. Level Up. Make better choices. Celebrate others. Make amends. Learn to admit when you’re wrong & also apologize correctly. Continue on with the better choices. As you are “GOOOO-in,” no matter where you are in life, stop as often as you can to say THANK YOU to the ones who helped you. Publicly or privately.
You just have to really mean it. 👩🏾🍳 If you are blessed to have a mentor, understand that all they really want is for you to have found your ultimate level of Happy; & for you to stay in it.
White coat or no white coat?? Studies have shown that patients want to see their doctors in professional clothing, but a recent commentary in JAMA suggested it doesn’t necessarily have to be a white coat. Patients just want to see clothing that defines a doctor as a doctor... so as it turns out, they preferred scrubs over business attire!
Working on our new website (ETA approx 30 days!) and wanted to share a little bit ABOUT US!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Where are you from?
People are more interested in asking this question than paying attention about the accomplishments of someone.
Does asking this question will make you feel more comfortable to see a person as a friend, as a #business partner or potential #investor . Or are you celebrating this person or are you automatically condemning the person?
If you ever ask people this question then ask yourself: why am i asking this question?
Know that we are all mixed creatures of Earth. Where you are from should not matter. What should matter is the positive legacy that we leave behind. Of course there could be exceptions pertaining to telling a personal story or your health. But being ambushed by others with this question when there is no purpose to it, is irrevelevant.
Where are you from, this question belittle people. When a question feels uncomfortable to you, you have the right NOT to answer it.
Do you make adequate time for family?
Even though I live in Belgium and most of my family are back in Ireland (and Dubai) I try my best to make time for them.
Although having a job that involves a lot of travel and coaching on top of it can make it difficult I try my best to stay in touch with them.
Last weekend I had my parents visit me in Belgium (pictured doing a chocolate making course with @neuhauschocolates ).
Your family can be one of the most important bonds and secure bases in your life. You might not always realise it but the support you get from parents, siblings and other family is an important foundation throughout your life for success.
Never underestimate the power of unconditional love to lift you up when you’re down and rebuild your confidence and keep you motivated.
Already can’t wait to see them for Christmas!
#letsmeet Ashtyn!!! She’s an International Studies student in her 5.5th year at TWU! Ashtyn enjoys most sports and games in general though her particular favourites include volleyball 🏐 , spikeball, and ping pong 🏓. She also finds joy in painting, drawing ✍️ and graphic design. A fun fact about Ashtyn is that she lived Malaysia 🇲🇾 and Hong Kong 🇭🇰 for 8 years; from ages 7-15.
In her internship with @helplesotho, she is currently creating greeting cards and conducting research on social media platforms and marketing opportunities!
The top reason that Ashtyn chose the LLC is, “because it offered the opportunity to grow as a student, Canadian citizen and a person.” #llcottawa#twullc#internship#professionalism#canadiancitizenship#workexperience#helplesotho
What do you do when someone tries to take credit for your work?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The best leaders give credit where credit’s due. Helping others to rise up and succeed is an amazing feeling, and it has the side-benefit of making you look great, too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When someone tries to steal your thunder, try to weigh the benefits of calling them out. Is it really worth it? What do you stand to gain from doing this? Will the other person look bad, or will you just seem petty?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you do decide it’s worth trying to take back some of that glory, frame things in a way that supports the other person. “It was great working with you on that project!” When colleagues ask questions about what you worked on, take the opportunity to highlight your expertise and showcase your contributions—as well as those of your limelight-stealing teammate. Make it clear how you achieved your goals together.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Later, in private, you can gently let your colleague know they kept saying, "I" instead of "we." Give them the benefit of the doubt. Always try to be the bigger person. There’s no better look than that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💥Queen at Saturday Night Live💥
✨On this day, on September 25th 1982, exactly 37 years ago today, Queen performed "Under Pressure" & "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" on Saturday Night Live.
✨This date marked the end of their continental American tour. (Also their last appearance in America.).
✨Saturday Night Live was also very important bc it was the first time the band had ever played at a very prestigious television show, watched nationwide by millions of people.
✨The night before Freddie and his then boyfriend Bill Reid were fighting & had a screaming match (whom Fred thankfully dumped by the end of the tour.)
Here's what happened next in Peter Freestone's words:
💭"When Freddie awoke on Saturday morning he found he'd screamed himself hoarse the night before. We had a run-through of the show that day where Freddie merely spoke his way through...We spent the whole afternoon in one of the studio's small bathrooms with the hot tap turned on & the door shut to create as much steam as possible & I dripped drops of the oil of Olbas to infuse the steam with healing efficacy. The electric kettle was boiling constantly to supply hot water for the continual hot honey & lemon drinks I was making for Freddie. He spent the whole afternoon convinced he'd be unable to perform & felt he was letting the rest of the band down badly."
✨Even though Freddie had lost most of his voice that day, he still managed to deliver his best with what is called a "showstopping" performance.
✨Most people mimed these shows esp when they faced such a situation & Queen could have easily done the same but no not Freddie...
He pours his heart and soul and puts on a show that no one can ever forget and you know what? Even with his hurt voice Freddie sings and sounds better than most!
👉P.S. This may not be one of Freddie's best moments vocally but for me this is one of the STRONGEST and most PROFESSIONAL and INSPIRATIONAL moments in Freddie's career and life because he faces what many couldn't handle and gives his ALL when there's actually no all to give at that point. What a man and what an incredible source of inspiration! ❤

You will never accomplish your business goals without a team.
You have big goals, big dreams, big ambitions. It will never happen as a solo entrepreneur.
So, I think a big reason most entrepreneurs don’t end up building successful teams is because they get burned. Because you don’t know how to hire properly. Because you hire somebody, you think, “This is great!
The problem is, that first person rarely works out. Most of the time it’s because you don’t know what you’re doing. Because you don’t know how to hire. So, you hire the wrong person.
When you’re doing a job posting you make it one big ugly paragraph. Why? Because I want people to be detail oriented. I want people to read the whole thing.
In the middle of that big ugly paragraph will be some skill-testing question.
Eighty per cent of people won’t do it. They didn’t read it. I’m looking for XYZ, and they hit submit and they send it to you.
Now, you’re going to spend time reading their cover letter, reading their resume, going through their work history – but they spent five seconds on you!
Five per cent of the people then say, “Great. Tell me what your Twitter account is and I’ll tell you how many followers you have.” Go to Twitter. Type in Evan Carmichael, you can find me, right?
You need to have a little bit of resourcefulness if you want to work for an entrepreneur.
Now I only have to read through 15% of the applications that come through. This is a lot better, right? These are the people who put in the time, who read the application, and they want to work with you. Great!
So, anybody who answers my job ad and will give me the skill-testing question, I’ll then hire them on a trial.
A uniform is not just a piece of clothing. It’s a representation of professionalism, responsibility, things you do for others, and your years of effort in learning.
Now the summer fun is over and the days to dedicate ourselves to school and work are just around the corner, we are starting #suitupmongolia challenge, and calling our fellow airlines to join the challenge.
people only drag other people down because the people who are dragging others down have nothing else going on in their life
side note: is it bad if i curse here or does no one actually care #professionalism
