I remember when I was in High School.
For Legal Studies we went to The maximum Security Prison,
Called Barwon Prison then but HM Prison Barwon now.
We were there to listen to some of the prisoners stories.
It was an Eye Opening Day, to say the Least.
The Thing that stuck with me The Most AND to This Day is... That most of the inmate's became instatutionalized.
Don't even Know if that's and actual English word but that's how I remember it.
What that means is, they Get SO used to being an Inmate that as Soon as they get out...
They do something Bad,
Just To Go Back in.
I found it very Strange.
It's Very Strange they Want and Choose to go Back in.
But I get it nowadays.
I get that in Prison, it's Simple.
Much Simpler than Real life.
It's Probably why they're there in the first Place.
They Couldn't do what the Rest of us Could.
The rest of Us,
Went to School & Worked.
Definitely did the things we didn't want to do.
Dealt with the negatively,
Bullying, stress, anxiety, depression etc & were most likely still dealing with it NOW.
Now I'm Not Saying They don't deserve to be Locked up, They Definitely Do.
What is Being done so that they can Become contributing member of society?
Because it ain't easy Out here,
Life is Hard and we Have to Find better ways.
I think for our Society to Evolve we also need to evolve the worst of us too.
