The off season is upon us and we are looking for a few good cooks! We are in the market for part time and full time help. We are looking for reliable, serious, hardworking persons who haven't forgotten what a good work ethic is.... it seems to be a rare find these days. We want people that take pride in their job, want to improve on a daily basis, want to work as a team, and that care about putting out quality food. I'm not going to sugar coat it, it's a kitchen job. It's hot... ever heard of "If you can't take the heat get out the kitchen?" It's stressful at times, again it's a kitchen. If you know anything about the OBX, you know this is a seasonal place and we get beat up in the summer so for 3-4 months. It will be hard and at times annoying, but the rest of the year we are coasting. The rest of the year we get to play with food, experiment culinarily, and work on perfecting our craft. We offer competitive pay, an end of the season party, a fun family oriented Thanksgiving gathering and more.
I love what I do, I love progressing and evolving, and I love helping/watching people progress and evolve. 8 months of additional culinary training is COMPLETE and I survived winter in Canada! I’m very much looking forward to returning to my freelance yacht chef life of living out of a backpack (and also very much looking forward to never having to wear a chef hat again)
