Topic of the day: Open Concept ‼️We all know that open concept has been the go-to for many, many years now. Instead of the kitchen being hidden, it has become the heart of the home where people gather and mingle. What can open concept cost you? Well, a major factor impacting the price is determined by whether or not walls are load bearing. In this case, the walls were load bearing, so columns were kept to keep within budget. Here’s an idea of the cost difference:
1: Non-load-bearing wall removal from $300-$1000
2: Load-Bearing 1 story wall removal from $1200-$3000
3: Load-Bearing with multi-story from $3200-$10,000+
Quite the difference & can definitely significantly impact a budget.
