HappyMovementMonday with my favorite person!! 💕 ❤️ 💗 💕 💗 ❤️ Since the beginning of our marriage, we’ve committed to incorporating physical activity into our lifestyle, and, believe me, a lot of those activities were NOT fun - - Bike rides while pregnant, hikes that were 100 feet long, pool days with 3 toddlers in my arms, expensive ski days where the kids were done after 40 minutes. 👨👱🏻♀️👦🏼👦🏼👦🏼👶
After 10 years of family, I’m so grateful for the sacrifices we made to keep our kids active. #happymovementmonday#runlifetoday#runyourlife

When I first read this in the War of Art by @steven_pressfield , I wrote in the margins “I wish i would have understood this while attending college.”
It’s interesting cuz everything I am doing now to build my business I could have EASILY started while in college.
Now, I hadn’t completely figured out what I wanted to do while in college; however, I wish I would have started somewhere. (I still don’t have “what I want to do” figured out) - I wish I would have simply decided that I was a pro and went for it! So, because of this experience, I post this today for all my college friends. If you have something you want to do, just freaking go for it! Decide your a pro and people will treat you like a pro! It’s as simple as that.
Want to design logos? Start designing logos for people. Want to illustrate a children’s book? Freaking write and illustrate a children’s book. Want to teach art history? I guarantee there’s an elementary near you that would be thrilled to have someone volunteer to teach an art history session.
And while it may not seam like it, you have enough time to chase your dream AND complete your schoolwork. I would argue that chasing your dream will only raise the level of everything else you’re doing.
Just go for it! Start today. Chase your dream. And if you don’t know what your dream is, take some time to reflect. No really, schedule 30 minutes to sit silently with a pen and some paper and free write until you have an idea of what you’d like your future to look like. Then pick one thing and start going for it! You’ll never have it all figured out. So if you wait until you do, you’ll never get started. Just get started. Go chase after something! You won’t regret it, I promise. 💕
With the curious ones out there and the ones who have asked what do I do for fitness.... I run and I weightlift/strength train whatever you wanna call it. I dont do yoga, crossfit, pilates, etc. I have never done a program nor paid for one. I have made my own templates to make my own training guides to my liking. I run about 3-4 times a week and weights are 3 times a week. It's what I love. It's what my body loves. For awhile I was trying things differently and noticed a changed in my body and my weight and it wasnt for the better and I wasnt loving it either. I feel like you have to like what your doing in order for your body to your like it and for you have the results you are looking for. I'm not saying it easy it the furthest from easy but I dont dread it and I will want/have to wake up at 3:30 a.m. just to run a half marathon. Its what I love. Do what you find joy in doing and actually like or what's the point?

Training runs are always better when there’s a medal involved! Had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas this weekend so naturally I looked for a half marathon to get my #roadtoboston miles in. While loop trails don’t top my list of faves, running the @bbscrun Mardi Gras Masquerade Half Marathon ended up being fun...once I got thru the first 3 miles of suck. Bonus is I get to check off another state for my “Fifty Halfs in 50 States” challenge.
Being a teacher, business owner, runner and a wife can be quite a balancing act. Add in technology and it continues to shave time out of your day. Today I’ll be on a panel discussing the challenges of staying connected in the modern age. #ugwa2020#runyourlife#riseandshinerun#ugwapanels2020
Well Tennessee decided to have actual winter for the Hot Cholocate 15k this weekend and Clarksville SRTT crushed it 👊

8 and change with my girl this morning. We kept it nice and easy until about mile 5, then we pushed a bit. I was having major technical difficulties out there. My headphones kept screwing with the volume on my music, mostly turning it completely off, which was pretty annoying. (I don't understand this, but it doesn't happen when I unplug them?). Also my Garmin musta screwed up GPS because I ran an out and back that didn't add up. Anyway, run done and you can't sweat the small stuff, right?

🎶”Some dreams stay with you forever,
Drag you around but bring you back to where you were
Some dreams keep on gettin' better,
Gotta keep believin' if you wanna know for sure
Oh, I can hear em playin'
I can hear the ringin of a beat up ol' guitar
Oh, I can hear em singin',
"Keep on dreamin', even if it breaks your heart"🎶
Sharing some of my music motivation today !

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." ~ Psalm 119:105
Last night at dinner with my family I was explaining my preparation for the upcoming @upforairseries 24 hours race.
I explained how I have practiced at night and how I have found the dark hours easier.
I went on to explain my reasoning as only being able to see what is right in front of you, instead of the entire mountain. You sort of lock in with a rhythmic bounce based on the energy within.
My wonderful mother said it reminded her of the quote above and how it relates to life as well.
Sometimes our thoughts overwhelm us by trying to see far in the future, the "the what ifs," per se.
The stimuli that surrounds us can overburden our mental bandwidth.
By focusing on what is in front of us, the task at hand, we can alleviate those stressors & devote better efforts to what is in front of us.

Nein, im Ernst, meine Pace wird von Training zu Training besser. Es ist im Sport wie im richtigen Leben: alles konsequent umsetzen! Auch den Trainingsplan. Dann wird’s was.
𝐈𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐬...I literally crumbled..but I was driving so I pulled over and cried.
I felt like somebody understood.
It was years ago — when I first started on this personal development train — accidentally & out of pure necessity — I was so frigging lost, depressed, vacant...
I was listening to the @seancroxton podcast The Sessions — he used to interview authors of the amazing books he read. (Still available, go listen)
I’ll never forget Ep. 003 with Lisa Rankin MD “𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨”. I was driving the 4 hours from Marine on St Croix to Okoboji to pick up the girls from Papa & Kakie’s.
The interview was raw and vulnerable and when Lisa, or was it Sean?, lol, SOMEBODY described “𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞” — where you’re not sure how you got here, you’re unsure where you’re heading, it can feel so completely 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 like an 𝘢𝘣𝘺𝘴𝘴 (all my words) and it can’t be defined...it’s so disconnected ...do you know this place? I know in my heart some of you are there now...
The interview gave words to where I was that day...month..year...I was 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝗪𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒. The term was so new to me and it hit me 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃 because that was 𝐈𝐓, 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝗪𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 was exactly where I was.
It’s not easy 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯-𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯.
Unrecognizable — seriously .. who is this person looking back at you in the mirror?
Where did the time go?
How did this happen?
Who are you now?
Who will you BE? Without the kids needing you daily, the job, a different job, that community you no longer fit into, this marriage...this idea of a life you thought you had.
Do you KNOW what’s next? What DO you want?
Do you HAVE a plan?
Of course not — If you did, you wouldn’t feel so lost, vacant, untethered. Afraid. Unsure. 𝘜𝘯𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯.
What will you do to bridge this divide? What needs to change? To heal? Will you find the courage to reconnect? To resurrect? To Unveil? To Unleash?
If you see yourself in this post. Reach out. Let’s get you to the other side. ❌⭕️ Jenn

Found a new trail... ran on it for 8 miles... got my nature fix... got my forest bathing... got my vitamin D... got my therapy. Remember to GET OUTSIDE this weekend, move your body and enjoy nature.
16 miles. Focusing on the positives. My legs felt great and no pain. So thankful that I was able to recover from my muscle strain and keep training. .
Even though I am feeling better. This chest cold had my lungs working overtime. Goal was 20 miles but I decided to turn back because breathing was tough. Feeling a little defeated. Needed some energy at the end 💛 .
What’s done is done. I am just happy I accomplished what I did. Happy Saturday everyone 😘
How ironic is it that while I’m down here teaching and facilitating morning runs in Fiji at #ugwa2020 , my book makes the Winter Reading List from Morgan James Publishing!!!! #whenyouleastexpectit
What's cool is that winter is the perfect time to develop your running habits and build a sound practice that will take you through the rest of the year. #timingiseveryting
If you've been in a slump or haven't felt motivated to run, go ahead and check out From Sidelines to Start Lines. It's the Frustrated Runner's Guide to Lacing Up for a Lifetime and can help you reengage with running in a fun and joyful way.
If 2020 is the year to get back into running, you can grab it here:
Moral story of last night: never again will I mix vodka (I don’t drink it) with mike hard lemonade. It’s a tasty cocktail but boy o boy does it sneak up on you fast. .
Also, I don’t remember taking this photo at all 🤣

NiceToMeetYou-Run. Seit zwei Jahren folgen wir uns auf Strava. Wir haben uns noch nie gesehen. In den letzten 10 Tagen sind wir uns nun tatsächlich zweimal im RL über den Weg gelaufen. 👍🏃🏽♂️🥵 Run, Goran, run.
“Regular running produces the same two changes that are thought to be responsible for the effectiveness of modern antidepressants: increased levels of the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine, and neurogenesis—the creation of new brain cells.” -From Running is My Therapy by Scott Douglas read more excerpt at https://www.womensrunning.com/culture/book-excerpt-running-is-my-therapy/ - a really interesting read #RunYourLife#RunWell#RunInspiration
Run #24 of ATB 30k training
Whose bright idea was it to train for a winter race anyways?! 😂🤣
I attempted a tempo run but it was more resistance training than tempo lol
Hoping all these crappy weather challenging runs convert into some speed gains 🤞
Who else is training for ATB..did you hear there is no "heartbreak hill" this year?
Are you pumped or disappointed? .
Authenticity is something hard to find , be yourself at any time , enjoy every moment , learn from them and move on !!!!and always do your best ... #goodnight

Happy Saturday! Are you having a good one?
I am slowly getting better and hopefully starting some serious marathon training. Did strength training and some windy intervals today, looking forward to a long run tomorrow!
Running: before, during or after the rain?
I love when it suddenly starts raining during my run. The weather is usually muggy before the rain, so it’s nice to refresh when it starts pouring. Running after the rain is very nice too - it’s so fresh and you never know when you can see a rainbow! Finally, if it’s already raining, you can prepare better and plan accordingly - every run is great, to be honest. Don’t skip a rainy run - embrace it! Which situation do you prefer?

☀️+🏃🏽♀️=🥰! Spain is definitely one of my favorite countries to run in. And while enjoying my runs here in Barcelona, I am already planning another running trip to Spain! Am I crazy?🤪
I heard Benidorm in Alicante is a true runners paradise - one of the sunniest cities, convenient for running and cycling, plenty of places to explore and they have a sunset half marathon at the beach too - @BenidormHalf on the 29th of February. And I will be going there!! I am in love with my life 😁 I’ve never visited Benidorm but I am really looking forward to spending my weekend there. Who else is comming?
The race entries are still available and there is a limited edition of Joma shoes with a special discount for participants👟 #BenidormisRunning#ComunitatValenciana@Jomasport
Running is for everyone. Your culture, religion, race, location, language, sex, age - nothing matters. Everyone can run!
I am always surprised to see that my followers are from all over the world - wherever I go, there is a person who says he/she lives nearby and can recommend some running routes. During the last two years, I heard from people living in remote, exotic locations and everyone says they love running! So why don’t you go for a run and also tell me WHERE you are running today?
