There is nothing better than experiencing Australia with our kids. Many told us we were “crazy to travel with kids” but we beg to differ
Yes it has it’s challenges, but so does life! We weren’t going to hold ourselves back on when we travel because of a shit excuse. We decided to take our kids with us on all of our travels, and now they get to see everything we see!
Don’t ever hold yourself back because of someone else’s opinion. That’s their opinion, not yours. We are all entitled to our own point of view and all entitled to live life however we choose!
Visited the most northern part of the North Island. A very spiritual place with the Most stunning views. Dug a hole at hot water beach, had a great time with the kids. You had to dig 2 hours before or after low tide and close to the waters edge to feel the very hot water. Marc went our for a surf while we dug and returned just in time to enjoy our man made hot tub. Haha. We were definitely not the only ones there that day.
Loving this place!

We absolutely love going on hikes and adventures, finding and seeing some of the most incredible mountains, beaches and waterfalls. Exploring the most epic landscapes. .
Do you know what we love just as much as that if not even more? Finding special places like this, somewhere where we can park up next to a clean clear waterhole. Where we continue to come back, spending days at a time swimming in between reading, napping, eating & exercising. .
Although we love travel and constantly being on the move, our way of living can get quite tiresome sometimes. So it is so nice when we find these places where we can reset and establish some kind of routine in our unstructured life, even if it’s just for a couple of days. .
Nothing better then floating up to your home, grabbing a beer and chilling out in the sunshine ay? Ps, what’s your swimming hole style? Mellow floater like Ellen 🙋♀️ or rock jumper like Goose 🙋♂️?
Today we had a relaxing morning at The Peninsula Hot Springs, what a beautiful experience that was! During the afternoon we visited Philip Island, now on our way to Wilson’s Promontory National Park for the night 🌛 #peninsulahotsprings#wilsonspromontorynationalpark
Sunsets in California on the beach....don't think I will ever stop saying how beautiful they are 😍
We have daughter Emily and Dylan visiting us for the week while we are here in San Francisco ♥️
Love it when family comes to visit us!

Wow. We spent nearly six hours at the Space Center in Houston today and it was simply amazing. To be honest, space exploration is not something we keep up with often (we kind of have a lot of other things going on... 👩❤️💋👨👦🏻👦🏻👶🏻🚐📝💻🛒🛣... ETC.! 😂). But we learned so much today, not just about the history of NASA and space exploration, but about everything they are working towards now for the future!⠀
We had no idea how seriously they are pursuing exploring Mars (with hopes to land in 10-20 years). They are planning an expedition to the moon in 2024, where they will begin set up a “base” station orbiting around the moon to use as a launching pad for missions to Mars. There they will conduct extensive research where they can take more risks with astronauts and how their bodies respond to being in space for long periods of time, etc. as they’ll be just three days from earth. Most expeditions in the past have lasted around 6 months, but they expect the Mars expedition to last 2-3 years! 😮⠀
We even got to see the robot they are making that will be sent to go build habitats on Mars before the astronauts arrive. 🤖 ⠀
We learned all of this on our tour of the Johnson Space Center, where it all goes down. We got to see the Mission Control Center they used up to 2011 and also where they will control the Mission to Mars, the massive area where astronauts train, and the largest rocket to ever successfully launch a crew capsule into outer space (think Apollo missions!). ⠀
We could go on and on, but basically if this stuff interests you, be sure to check out our stories for more fun facts we learned today at the Space Center Museum & Johnson Space Center. Also, if you’re ever in the Houston area, GO! You won’t regret it.⠀
And now that it’s caught our interest, maybe...just maybe...we’ll do a better job of keeping up with 🚀 from now on. 😉⠀
It's time for another author singing of my book, #RVLife , but this one is special. I'll be reading a few of my favorite parts, adding extra commentary and answering questions! I hope you can join me Wednesday March 5th from 6-7;30 pm at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library in Cocoa Florida, room 3.
I will have several paperback copies available for $25, personally signed of course. Or bring your own copy of #RVLife to have it signed.
The laser light show of Texas history, shown on the front of #SanFernandoCathedral in San Antonio is a neat downtown experience! Get therevanlittle early to check out the inside of the cathedral, check out the details after dark, and wait for the lights to go out and the lasers and music to begin! #sanantonio#bigfamilyfun#ourtravelingtribe
Salty Crew 🤙🏼 We’ve now lived on this beach for almost 2 months - during this time we have fallen in love with Todos Santos, discovered a new way of living, learned how to slow down the Baja way, train Bowie (still in progress) , bought a car, BOUGHT A PROPERTY, and have met the most incredible travelers and creatives that have become life long friends. This is where we’ll be till the property becomes ours mid April - salty, sandy, bathing suit wearing, beer drinking, taco eating beach bums.
Apparently it was National Love Your Pet Day yesterday, so here’s a picture of Señor Bowie looking super chill even though he’s the complete opposite. Kidding 😏 We love this little rascal and are so grateful for all the JOY and laughter he’s brought into our lives.

It can be scary to step outside of your comfort zone....😨
But also really, really rewarding. A dose of truth, there were a few points (ok more than a few) during the planning of this trip where I let the comments and fear mongering get to me. "Well maybe there is truth to what they're saying..." I'd think. And I'd have to remind myself (and Howard would remind me) of all the research, planning and experiences we'd read about it. I actually stopped telling people we were going to Mexico because I was tired of hearing the negativity! That's so sad.😢
It would have been so easy to give into fear. To let those thoughts of 'what if' consume me. But at the cost of what? Missing out on once in a lifetime experiences, delicious food, truly humble and generous people, beautiful scenery. 🇲🇽♥️
I'm not saying that everything in this country is picture perfect and that we haven't had challenges and tough moments, but our experience thus far as a whole has been wonderful. The exaggerated picture of death and dispair the media has painted (and hey, I used to be a reporter and news anchor, so I can call em out when I see fit) isn't true. Sure, there are bad areas here we avoid, but guess what... There are areas of the US I wouldn't travel to let alone drive my RV to.
In the past year, we've traveled to several places that would be considered dangerous and outside the comfort zone for many. And with each of those trips, I find myself growing as a person and learning more than I ever hoped to.
If done well and done right, travel is supposed to push you to experience and learn new things. And maybe, just maybe you'll find that living outside your comfort zone becomes a comfort you didn't know you craved. 😉

“Everyone and their TV commercial wants you to believe that the key to a good life is a nicer job, or a more rugged car, or a prettier girlfriend, or a hot tub with an inflatable pool for the kids. The world is constantly telling you that the path to a better life is more, more, more—buy more, own more, make more, fuck more, BE MORE.
You are constantly bombarded with messages to give a fuck about everything, all the time. Give a fuck about a new TV. Give a fuck about having a better vacation than your coworkers. Give a fuck about buying that new lawn ornament. Give a fuck about having the right kind of selfie stick. Why? My guess: because giving a fuck about more stuff is good for business.
And while there's nothing wrong with good business, the problem is that giving too many fucks is bad for your mental health. It causes you to become overly attached to the superficial and fake, to dedicate your life to chasing a mirage of happiness and satisfaction. The key to a good life is not giving a fuck about more; it's giving a fuck about less, giving a fuck about only what is true and immediate and important.” - @markmanson#sandyfeetdontcare
