Pure romance on a rainy wedding day! Our groom, Dave, was so sweet helping his bride, Katie, as she carefully navigated these slippery steps at @casamadrona in her stunning @oscardelarenta gown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s fun to see couples get creative with desert at their wedding. Especially these cute little treats. Possibilities are endless!❓What dessert did you serve? Or what would you want to serve at your wedding? @quailhollowranchcopark

I’ve actually become far more intentional with what I post now that I’m doing before and afters because I have to really plan out and prepare what I’m going to post! Even though posting now takes a bit more time for me, I really have been having a lot of fun going back through my images to find the RAWS that I have saved. // swipe for before and after.

It finally happened! You're engaged, and you're trying to plan the wedding of your freaking dreams. YAY!!! But then you start, and you realize wedding planning is kinda hard and you're a little stressed (or a lot). Not yay.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT, it doesn't have to be this way! There are wonderful people out there in the world who's job revolves around planning your perfect, stress-free wedding, and make your life x10 easier.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not sure what exactly planners do or how they can help? I've teamed up with Tawny from @onesweetsoiree.sf to break down 5 reasons why you should hire a planner and it's live on my blog! Head to the link in my bio and give it a read, it's a good one. You'll also see some more photos from Kat + Rob's gorgeous day, and a little more of my personal experience working with her for their wedding (spoiler alert: she's the best)
DAY 6 CAUSE I LOVE A GOOD BONUS AND I HAVE ONE MORE THING: I highly encourage all of my wedding couples to book engagement sessions, for a few reasons. As I mentioned yesterday, you probably think you’re awkward and not good in front of the camera. WHY practice for the first time on your wedding day? If you do a session, we get all of those nerves out, you get to see how I work + direct, and you’ll know what to expect on your big day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll be showing up to your wedding like this as your friend Shan with the cam, and not some random stranger getting all up in your face. This is going to make you feel x10 more comfortable on your wedding day, and that’s how it should be.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BONUS: you can order prints through my gallery for wedding decor! Which then, can be hung in your house after the day is done. HOW SPECIAL. And of course, cute ass pics for the gram. DOUBLE WIN.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did we love my engagement session tip series?! Would you guys like to see the same thing but for wedding planning!? I’d love to hear your thoughts!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This beautiful wedding was held at S.F. City Hall. The 105 year old historic building will light up red, white, and blue to celebrate President's Day this evening!🇺🇸 #cmykphotography
This year has been incredibly difficult for a lot of people and we’re only two months in - it’s honestly scary. More and more the world feels so heavy with pain and sorrow. We avoid listening, reading or watching the news as much as possible because it just amplifies the feelings of hopelessness a lot of us are experiencing. As our platform grows, we realize we have an opportunity to use our art to not only inspire, but uplift and provide hope to our community. There are so many reasons to endure 🦋
When you wake up in the morning, it’s important to start the day with positive energy. Even if it’s forced - eventually it will feel natural. One of the best ways to do this is to visualize your day going well and all the wonderful things you could accomplish.
Write down your goals, and tell yourself out loud that you CAN accomplish them. Use this affirmation as your mantra. If you believe it to be true, it eventually will be.
Losing motivation half way through the day? Help affirm someone else and cheer them on! Spreading positive vibes will open doors for both of you.
At the end of the day, look back at your list of goals and write down one thing you’re grateful for. It can even be as simple as “I’m so grateful I did this ONE thing.” Let yourself feel proud.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to reach out and share your struggles. You never know who could be going through the same thing. Hope you all have a blessed day 🙏🏻 Namaste.
I love the redwoods of Northern California! These ones are tiny compared to some, but still so awe inspiring! This wedding at Berkeley with these two was a dream! #bayareaweddingphotographer

Valentine’s Day was never more than any other day until it became the day I got engaged.
Whistler was just another vacation until it became that vacation where she proposed to me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I always thought I’d propose to her. We talked about how she would tell me when she was ready to get married and then I would knock her socks off with some crazy proposal on top of the tallest mountain in a remote corner of the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, Sara proposed to me in our hotel room on a snowy winter morning. I had no idea. I still had no idea, even when I found the ring and she told me she was ready to marry me (I legit thought she bought it for herself as a promise ring until I proposed to her). Once I realized what was happening, it turned into a tear fest of joy and we celebrated the rest of our vacay with lots of good food and libations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We didn’t take many pictures from that day because we just wanted to be in the moment. But luckily, just last week we had an incredibly affirming photo shoot as wedding models, invited by @inframesphotography for a styled shoot for @evolveworkshops. To have 12 photographers telling you your love is beautiful - and that LOVE IS LOVE❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 - was one of the most affirming experiences I’ve ever had. This photo is from that session. So it’s close enough to our engagement-versary to be like super late engagement photos, amirite?!
All this to say, Happy 4th engagement-versary, my love. I love that we celebrate our big milestones every year, and I love that this day now means so much more than just a Hallmark holiday (cuz it’s not Valentine’s Day if you’re in Canada, right😂) 💘❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💘 #gutofintegrity#integriTIPS

I’m Cassie. I wear all the hats around here: photographer, bad poem writer, misguided marketer, sometimes blogger, former amateur cookie artist, current Instant Pot fanatic, champion napper and enthusiastic knickknack collector. I document weddings and love stories full time, all across the country. Originally born and raised in Atlanta, GA, I’m thankful to now call San Francisco home, along with my husband Michael and our goofy dog Rusty, whose unsurpassable ability to shed fur holds no competitors.
I have many, many reasons why I do what I do, but recently, a very specific motivator has wrestled its way to the forefront of my mind. That thought is this: Life is short, and stories, everlasting. The art of creating tangible proof for my couples, a means to show how love crosses borders, how being human is connective and real, this is the kind of legacy I want to be a part of.
Also, my couples are pretty rad. Let’s remember to remind each other how rad we all are and keep celebrating that together. My first wedding of 2020 is tomorrow. I’m ready to kick this season off!! Thanks @tophs_mcgoats for the snap and @aprilfosterbridal for the touch ups ♥️
