After a really long day of traveling with missed connections and delayed flights we are so happy to be home with the dogs. And we have something so exciting coming up, just can’t wait to share with you guys, back to regular non Hawaii posting and some hard work!
So this happened a few weeks ago. ❤️❤️ 1st place in the state of GA for Portrait of a Child (my second time), and a Judge's Choice award (also my second time). Such an incredible night with amazingly talented artists. Thank you to all of my clients for trusting me with your memories! ❤
P.S. My nameplate comes in the mail. ;)
Between the beginning of Aug and Oct I had 10 of these beautiful military homecomings, and I basically had to hold back tears at EVERY single one. 😭😍
All these Soldiers who are basically meeting babies for the first time just get me with ALL the feels. And while this family was lucky enough to have dad come home to see this sweet pea be born, he still then had to go right back overseas....so basically he was meeting her all over again (and we all know how quickly toddlers change over the course of just several months, so I’m sure this hero’s son was like a whole different kiddo too)! Oh my heart! All the happy tears y’all! Welcome home!! 🇺🇸✨💙
Magical sunsets & moonrises make for memories by the ocean that almost feel majestic 🧜🏽♀️ but for now it’s the rainiest day & that calls for catching up on baking • Cornbread & cookies anyone? #kitcarperphotography
YOU GUYS!! It’s National Pug Day!!! I honestly think it’s a little silly to have so many “national days of *insert the most random thing ever*” - but I mean, if it has to do with pugs then you know I’m all about it.
For those of you who haven’t met him yet, this is Winston! He’s 2 and a half years old and the funniest little alien-cat-human-dog creature I’ve ever met. He keeps me laughing constantly, and I’m just so grateful he found his way into my life.
If you’re a pug person (it’s a thing! 😂), holler at me and tell me your puggy’s name!! I swear pugs always have the best names. 😂

“It's not about what's around you, it's about what's inside of you. You got this. Don’t let what’s around you (your ENVIRONMENT) limit what God put inside of you. “ @elevationchurch@stevenfurtick
I just saw this on their Facebook page and it’s something I’ve been struggling with myself. Sometimes I forget how awesome God is. I forget how I should trust him with this talent he’s given me. Sometimes I think, I haven’t been doing this as long as others or I’m not as good as this other photographer. If only I had as many followers as this person I’d be doing better. And that’s doubting myself. That’s doubting what God put inside of me. He wants me to have faith in Him and what gifts he’s put inside me.
God is an almighty God. Even when we let fear and intimidation into our hearts and cause us to want to shrink back into our hole, God says that’s no problem for Him. Fear can’t keep me out and stop what I have for you. Limited thinking can’t hold me back. God overrides every negative force. He’s not going to let what’s meant for you pass you by.
Seriously, I feel so much love surrounding me. I’ve received so much love for my work. I receive so much love everyday from my family, my babies... I love this moment that I’m in right now. I feel so happy. ❤️
It’s #tiptuesday ! If you don’t have a professional lighting setup, a large window with indirect light is your best friend. This kind of light will result soft shadows and subtle depth. In fact, it’s one of our favorite ways to light food and tabletop shots. When we need to bounce light back in to fill in shadows, we use a reflector, but if you don’t have one just use a white card (read: piece of white foam core; conversely, if you want to emphasize shadows for a moodier look, use a black card). Side note: if you find yourself shooting like this a lot, purchasing a reflector is one of the most reasonable investments you can make in lighting equipment, and easy to use.

I don't know what he said that made her laugh as the sun set on their wedding day, but I hope he makes her laugh every day for the rest of their lives. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Working hard all week on editing this beautiful wedding & I’m not mad about it 😍✨ side note: isn’t it the cutest thing ever that Dacey’s robe just so happens to match the curtains? I thought so 😊 @dacey89
Babies, beaches, & blue hour.
(Typing this caption made me think of Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.🤣)
There’s one session opening left in Beaufort, SC this October. Open to couples, families, or anyone wanting a motherhood or fatherhood session.✨
ALL MOVED IN! It’s been a crazy and productive past few days getting settled in to my new home in Savannah but I am so happy with the way everything has turned out! Couldn’t have done it without the help of my mom, step dad and boyfriend 🖤 seriously so blessed to call this lil city home! ✨
