This week is amazingly intense and definitely warranting rest, rejuvenation, and reflection.
In other news, I promised I would get this information out because it was something I’d been working on for awhile now. I was teetering back and forth about rather I was ready to take things to this level, but that’s the type of spirit I am—I’m here to ascend and challenge myself in all aspects of this human experience.

Three principles at the heart of the course are:
1. Understand what healthy activities support wholesome states in you.
2. Learn to intentionally cultivate wholesome states and be fully present for them.
3. Apply modern neuroscience which now shows that joy, happiness and gratitude are states of mind that can be actively cultivated. Whatever we pay attention to changes the structure of the brain. If we are aware and we have the right intention, we can incline our mind towards joy.
Over the ten weeks we will explore a variety of different themes which will help to reorient our minds away from dissatisfaction and distraction and toward the contentment and delight that is abundantly available in our everyday lives. The course is suitable if you've practiced lots of meditation before or if you are completely new to it.

What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses visual arts as a major expressive modality within the therapy space. In this confidential and creative space, the client expresses their emotions artistically and verbally, allowing for a unique means of exploring ones thoughts and feelings.
Art therapy is both an internal experience, allowing for introspection through art making, but it also enhances the externalization of emotion. Through the use of symbolism and metaphor, emotions and experiences become living entities which can then be interacted with. Artistic expression can be helpful for expressing emotions which are difficult to verbalize.

Tijdens mijn studie bij Phoenix Opleidingen spraken we op enig moment over het spelletje Kiekeboe, wat we als klein kind speelden met de volwassenen om ons heen. Jaren later speelde ik hetzelfde spelletje met Isaiah, mijn zoon.
Het aparte van volwassen worden, is dat het onbevangen kind in ons kwijt raken.
Daar waar we als kind vrolijk en zonder vrees ergens op af stapten, worden we voorzichtiger en soms zelfs angstig wanneer we de puberteit definitief achter ons laten.
Stel je voor dat de ander ons raar, vreemd of apart vindt 🤨
In de liefde is er geen tijd om je te verstoppen. En toch heb ik dat gedaan.In twee lange relaties creëerde ik een wereld van verstoppen, van vluchten en niet willen kijken naar wat er écht is.
In het werk trok ik dezelfde lijn door. Verstopte ik me achter grote, stapels werk, met als alibi naar mijn leidinggevende dat ik het wel héél druk had. Mijn omgeving kon zien dat ik echt heel hard aan het werk was, dat was mijn schuilplaats.

Affirmations can be powerful when used properly.
Before reciting affirmations get into receptive mode.
How to get into receptive mode for affirmations in 4 simple steps:
1. Take a few deep breaths
2. Bring yourself you the present moment
3. Repeat this saying: “At this moment I will remind myself of who I am, all that I am, and all that I will be.”
4. Then recite affirmations.
This can help anchor the affirmations as reminders of who you are, and what you’re working towards, rather than words you are trying to believe.
You can also create affirmations that resonate more for you. For example, instead of saying “ I am free of worry”, you might feel more comfortable saying, “I am letting go of my worries”. Another example, instead of saying, “Today will be a great day” you can say, “Despite any challenges that may come my way, today I will choose to have a great day”. Adjust the affirmations so they resonate.

I understand it is subjective when it comes to facial treatment preferences. Therefore, I am going to review this skincare brand based on my individual experience.
It started when I saw a Sponsored Ad from this company on Facebook and Instagram. The promotion was attractive and it was targeting my skin concerns. At first, I was a bit hesitant to sign up because I had many bad experiences from the past, dealing with hard-selling salespersons.
I tried to find out more about this organisation and I was absolutely impressed with the good reviews. The promotional price was reasonable too and without a doubt, I decided to give it a try.
I was politely greeted by the receptionist when I first stepped into the outlet at Ngee Ann City. The ambience was clean, beautiful and welcoming. My esthetician, Moon was very professional. She did a VISIA® skin analysis to assess my skin condition meticulously before customising a facial treatment package, suitable for my skin type.
Next, the treatment room was soundproof which allowed me to relax, unwind and enjoy the calming music without any external disturbance. In addition, the facial treatments were comfortable, soothing and painless. Simply excellent!
After the treatment session, my esthetician showed me the before and after treatment images. Seriously, I saw a huge improvement in my skin condition.

A lot of people want to push their mental health problems under a rug pretend there not there. Work them away, party them away, drink think away, watch them away... escapism comes in so many forms no one coping mechanism resembles the other. .
The thing with mental health is, when unaddressed it never goes away! It’s still such an uncomfortable topic I almost didn’t make this page. But here’s why I did. .
Everybody on this earth has mental health! People can discriminate, judge and belittle the people strong enough to admit openly they do. But that honestly doesn’t detract from their own mental health it only amplifies it. .
Being stoic, not showing pain or not asking for help has become a socialised behaviour. An unhealthy one which just feeds the egoic mind that either feels superiority for not showing outward pain as well as superiority over those who do. .
The result really is more and more people suffering in silence. Battling thoughts and feelings .. if not bottling them. As with anything bottled their pain/trauma/anguish will bubble to the surface and eventually explode. .
This is a post to try help break the stigma. With mental health just know you are not alone! Seek help if necessary. You’re not weak. You’re strong. You’re not crazy. You’re human. Anybody who treats you differently hasn’t resolved their own issues and that’s okay but that shouldn’t detract from your healing journey. .
