Nova definitely knows how to work her angles for the camera.
She’s such a model when she wants to be, only on her time though. We woke up this morning and it was so foggy and I knew I had to get some photos! Nova is obsessed with squirrels so of course there were squirrels running all around her, hence her looking up. But wow does she look cute doing it!

If you double tap hard enough, you can actually high five Antaeus back. It’s a new Instagram feature. Give it a try🤣

Why train your dog? Because you never know where you could end up with your dog, for who knows what could happen tomorrow. How often do I check into a dog friendly hotel? Not every day. Link has been in 3 hotels in his life. He is turning 2 years old in May. That's not something you can prepare for with direct desensitization with a niche enviroment. How is Link able to lay there as everyone eats waffles eggs and sausages?
The generalization of cues is the practical focus, however it is difficult to achieve. I am sure you have a routine if you train your dog. Maybe it's the living room, or the kitchen and your dog does marvelous! The second you open the door to your yard and step outside, the dog doesn't even know his own name. What happened here? You've been doing your homework, the dog clearly knows what's being asked, what changed? The dog never generalized those cues in other enviroments. Sit is only a sit in the kitchen, in the primary reinforcement enviroment. You more than likely haven't challenged your dog in different enviroments with different smells, distractions and sights.
It's not just exposure to these enviroments, it's the work WITHIN the exposure that makes the difference.
I encourage you to train your dog in a new enviroment today. Try your garage, try a new room, try your backyard. An enviroment you have not trained before. If you switch it up often you will be surprised to how much quicker your dog will start to respond!
Happy training! #dogtraining#dogtrainer#siberianhusky#huskytraining
Frosty, chilly, icy and snowy ⛄️ The exact opposite of what we have at home 🏡 This week many have their winter holiday, but not us, we are keeping the wheels going at home. And the weather is just so depressing, both the hoomans and doggos are escaping in their houses 😅 Went for a lovely hike yesterday, but just can’t seem to post any photos without snow 🙈 Hey weather, check your calendar, it’s February and we need SNOW not mud, rain and wind!!! 💁♀️ This lovely trip was led by Blanca and Victor. Blanca is a super leader, and has really grown this year. In addition to leading the team, she now teaches the puppies the ropes and skills needed to be a sleddog 🤩
