Say NO-MORE to the dry, brittle hair that may be growing in as we age.🙅 Our Hair Redemption Butter Masque quickly makes those pesky, unmanageable hairs soft and smooth. It’s packed with five plant-based butters that nourish and condition unexpected coarse hair.✨
It’s September here in Maine. The leaves haven’t turned color yet. The leaf peepers haven’t descended on Freeport yet. I haven’t gone apple picking yet! But, this display was front and center when I walked through the doors at Lowe’s the other day. Seriously! No joke!! .
Is it me or am I missing something here? Honestly, it makes me crazy. Know why? It immediately makes me feel anxious, as if I’m already behind on my Christmas shopping. It immediately makes me feel as if I need to skip the pumpkins and go straight to Christmas!! 😩
Let’s say no! Let’s bring back the calm and beauty and richness each season offers. Let’s stop the fast track to Christmas! .
We leave this Sunday for Seattle to drop off our youngest at school. We have a few adventures planned before and after. It will be a nice distraction.
Thank you to all of you who have shown their support during this interesting transition in our lives (empty nest). I really do appreciate it.
So many of you inspire me daily. One of the ladies who I really admire and is a great example of how to live “socially brave” is @wendyknipp. Thank you, Wendy. 🤗😘
Have a wonderful day! 💕
It’s a little bit cooler today and it’s so nice to be able to wear my hair down. For many years I kept my hair up all the time as it was limp, lifeless and thinning. I wasn’t able to wear my hair down even if I wanted to. Having thinning hair is quite stressful, which in turn can cause your hair to shed more than usual.
Since ditching the dye, my hair has increased in volume and thickness. I had actually forgotten what it was like to have lots of hair to play with. You will see in the photo that I have a slight violet tint to my hair, that is due to the violet shampoo that I use. I leave it on for 5 minutes and the colour becomes more vibrant. I really like it. It also means that I can wear grey as my hair contrasts against the dark charcoal grey colour.
I don’t wear beige or browns at all, and I have never really enjoyed wearing black. I feel that black just sucks all the life out of me. I love wearing; pink, yellow, green, purple and blue. I don’t have any red clothes, but I have seen other silver sisters wearing red so I am tempted to give it a go again.
If you have any doubts about embracing your silvers, I can tell you it is one of my best decisions. My healthy head of sparkly hair is a perfect reward for letting go of my coloured hair.
My mother coloured her hair until she was 70. She embraced her silvers and started a new career as a silver model!....at 70!
Has anyone else noticed how healthy their hair is without the harsh chemical treatment? #violethair#greyhair#goinggray#silverhair#ditchthedye#silversister#silversisters#ageinggracefully#over50#50plus#overfifty#over40#silverwarrior#blogger#over50blogger#maturewoman#middleagedwomen#naturalhair#grayhair#goinggrey#grey
