“The oaks and the pines, and their brethren of the wood, have seen so many suns rise and set, so many seasons come and go, and so many generations pass into silence, that we may well wonder what “the story of the trees” would be to us if they had tongues to tell it, or we ears fine enough to understand.”
~Author unknown, quoted in Quotations for Special Occasions by Maud van Buren, 1938
There are some words or phrases that I stumble across and then which ring about my head for years, just waiting for the perfect application or story to grow out of them, or which I have to ponder over to figure out why they resonate so much for me, and how to capture that weight in names of my own. There are words like Ezellohar and Alagäesia and the Sword of the Morning, and of course the phrase “the memory of trees” which I first stumbled across in my early teen years thanks to the Enya album of the same name. Ever since I periodically find myself thinking “What stories would this or that tree tell if it could speak. If we could only talk to trees, what tales would they tell?”
Just sent out this sweet family session! Most of my portfolio tends to be weddings, which I love, but it’s nice to spend time with awesome families and capture special moments of two people in love and their sweet babes. ❤️
Sneak peek for these two!! Jacob & Amber were so giddy for their photo session it got me so excited to work with them! We had a wonderful time at Silver lake in the 35 degree evening 🥶 They were champs & didn’t even act cold. They said that they were having so much fun they couldn’t even feel the cold until we finished! 🙌🤩❤️ so many more to come from this stunning engagement session!
For me marriage is about growth. Personal and as a couple. Growth in forgiveness, acceptance, and pure charity. Don't go through life, grow through life.
Let’s keep making great memories my love ♥️ love you amor @gabbrysia
This moose and myself had a moment of who was going where, when he decided to get in the lake and take the shortcut. Probably a 300 meter swim from side to side. He also proceeded to show off by splashing his spoons in the water, almost like he was a little kid, just having some summer fun. Silver Lake, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah!
