Current situation in the studio 😅. With every piece, I evolve ... as an artist, as a life expressionist, a student and a person.
As much as I try to approach each new canvas with the same approach as I did with the last, I can’t...
I’ve now come to accept that that is who I am. I have always been someone who is constantly evolving, no two dishes cooked the same way... no two paintings the same (which used to frustrate me because I see other artists producing similar pieces of each other and I couldn’t).
I started out with this huge canvas having some very fixed ideas but then struggled to get started because I was so fixated on the result.
So I had a conversation with myself, telling myself to let go and to trust the process... and to just enjoy the ride... Here I am ... enjoying the ride.. grinning like a silly kid - staring at my huge ass painting, never wanting this to be over 🥰.

Join us for dinner at the gorgeous Shang Palace Restaurant in the Shangri-la Singapore 🇸🇬 mates!
😋 To start, we were served Shang Palace's deluxe appetiser trio of roast duck, deep-fried yellow croaker fish fillet with chef's special vinegar sauce, and crispy-fried sun-dried cuttlefish. The duck was fatty and tender, and the fried seafood was light and crispy...so good 😋
😋 Next came braised pumpkin bisque with lobster, seafood and fish maw. Such a warm, rich and comforting soup in this cool rainy weather 😋
😋 We enjoyed sautéed fresh prawn with seasonal greens accompanied by scallop with black truffle sauce. The seafood was so fresh and succulent 😋
😋 My favourite is the oven-baked cod fillet with miso sauce and a side of mushrooms. The miso sauce elevated the fresh fatty cod to super yummy level 😋
😋 Next, we were served pan-fried French quail fillet with lemon grass and pepper corns. The quail was tender, but we thought the heavy handedness of the pepper corns over-whelmed the delicate quail.
😋 The final main dish was braised abalone and hand made rice noodles with superior soy sauce. Mmmm...the dish was full of delicious umami taste of the ocean 😋
😋 Dessert was a super refreshing chilled coconut jelly accompanied by osmanthus jelly...Mmm...a lovely way to end a beautiful dinner in a luxurious setting ❤

Grateful for where we're at right now and always excited about where we're going.
When we started traveling in late 2017 we instantly took #singapore 🇸🇬 off our list. It seemed so unobtainable and so expensive. After saving money for the first year we knew we had to visit here but were still so worried if we could afford it. Well if you have ever felt that way about visiting here check our new video live on Youtube (Link in Bio).
Do you think it’s expensive to travel to Singapore?
