Inktober Day 13 - Strange Skull.
Not my usual sort of thing to draw, but an interesting challenege. Originally I planned to use this day to make myself design the beginnings of a species of fairytale creature I have in mind... but we ended up with this thing instead. 😂 On another note, 2019's inktober seems to be the "Year of the Mushroom." I don't think I've ever drawn as many in my entire life as I have over the few days. 🍄
Anybody else love Halloween and Fall?? It’s one of our favorite times of year with all the fall festivals, craft shows, pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving and of course trick or treat.
What’s your favorite thing about fall??
Tattooing has been a part of human history for thousands of years, and for a variety of reasons. Historically, pigments used in tattoo inks derived from mineral or geological sources to produce certain colors and hues.
Design challenged myself to use my birthday presents from August into this Halloween mantel decor! The vintage encyclopedia set was a find at Book and Bean, the CUTEST bookstore and coffee shop in Little Switzerland about an hour outside Blowing Rock, NC. I felt like I was going back in time as it incorporated the used with the new. The cash register area made me feel like I was checking out at some old country store, yet with far more elegance. The centerpiece on the mantel I turned into a bit of a graveyard area. My sister gifted me the brick mold from @carrollsnursery. I put some BLACK (had no idea that color was even made!) reindeer moss in it, along with some sphagnum moss, RIP candles, and skeleton bones. Learning bit by bit a good formula for decorating this mantel. Feeling SPOOKED 👻
