Sometimes it's really hard to find the comfort food you want in a small town (for me, it's Chinese porky dishes at a bustling kopitiam). I drove around for a long time searching for one, but there are very few good choices. In the end, I settled for non-Chinese food because this mamak restaurant looks bright and cheery (Nasi Kandar Sri Sentosa). Henceforth, I resolve not to take the KL kopitiams for granted. 🤚
My dad & granddad taught me to ski when I was 7. We talked about all the places they had skied & where all they wanted to go. Dad told me about the Swiss Alps & I decided then that I was going. Fast forward 19 years to Pilot Man & I deciding what to do for Christmas. He mentioned skiing in Switzerland & that was it. We decided on Zermatt & it truly is a little fairytale town. Walking the cute cobblestone streets all lit up for Christmas was a treat! I don’t believe I’ve ever fallen in love with a town so fast before. I have a thing with mountains feeling like home. I definitely wouldn’t mind waking up every morning & seeing the Matterhorn. It’s one of the most picturesque views you could ask for.
Boise - I LOVE my City
It’s the Little Big City - it has the all the feels of city but also the comfort of a small town 💕
- I was born in Cali and grew up in a town of pop. 321 in Nebraska and have lived in the big Ds (Denver & Dallas) 🏙
- Boise is the perfect balance
Music 🎶 & Art 🖼 - the music scene here is better than one would think
- They make room for the art lovers of all types
Foothills - hiking ⛰ at your finger tips with all year round amazing views
- 🚴♀️ biking, 🏃♀️ running, leisure walks, trails, 🎣 fishing and even surfing 🏄♀️ - The green belt is full of beauty & adventure
Skiing & Snowshoeing - ⛷ is not over priced or over crowded and a short drive from downtown - It’s the metro to outdoors with ease
- Boise is launching itself into the food meca of the nation - There’s endless options and something for everyone
The North End - there’s little parts of the city that feel like a like a small town and the north end is one of those places
- Shops, food, and 🍦 ice cream and you feel swept away in your day
Culture - Boise is expanding and with that comes diversity and more love for all - I love the cities open arms
The city of Trees🌳 - oxygen = life - Need I say more

Someone asked what made this location one of my favorite places to which I replied “honestly it reminded me of a scene from Beauty and the Beast!” “There goes the baker with his bread like always...” 🎶
My classmate and I woke up early one morning to explore the town. What started out as a quiet cobblestone street turned into a vibrant street market in mere moments. Suddenly there were carts of bread🥖,carts of flowers🌺 🌺 and so much more! I don’t think that experience will ever leave me!

Anyone else looking like this at Hobby Lobby lately? They have an awesome sale going on, and I always freshen the decor after I take Christmas stuff down. So far I've been two days in a row, and I have to stop back in tomorrow. Sorry, babe! 😬
Put a little Texas in your weekend.
So many towns to visit in this great state.
Enjoy when work or my family takes me to neighboring areas.
Heading through #roundrock today, like remembering the days when these places were smaller.
