- At 74 years young now, Annette Larkins says the key to radiant youthfulness and physical vitality is a raw vegan diet.
"I know that I'm not going to live forever, but I'm forever trying to live well," Annette said.
She's been a vegetarian for 54 years, but over the last 30 years she has perfected her vegan diet. Her plant-based diet does not include any animal products. The food she eats is unprocessed and uncooked. Her dishes include vegetarian nut loaf, zucanni chips, and savory okra crisps. Annette says it's never too late to reap the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.

Here is a simple formula for a Wondercress Smoothie:⠀
1) Start with your Wondercress, of course.⠀

Strawberry Oat Milk: Kids really enjoyed making this milk today. Recipe/ instructions down below. We made oatmeal with the strained oats, it’s was tasty #zerowasteliving :
1 cup rolled oats
4 cups water (use less water for thicker, creamier milk!)
1 pinch salt
4-7 whole date, pitted or sweetener of choice
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
2 Tbsp cocoa or cacao powder for "chocolate milk" (optional)
1/4 cup fresh berries for "berry milk" (optional)

Whilst we are sharing- in many parts of the globe it’s National Organ Donor day- This is a cause so incredibly close to our hearts as Sarah’s son had a life saving liver transplant aged 2- he’s an amazing nearly 13 year old now and we wanted you to know how important opting to donate your organs is. A glorious cherry, açaí and avocado smoothie bowl 🍒
Here’s how to make it…
1 small avocado
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1/2 cup of sliced frozen banana
2 large tbsp fulls of coconut yoghurt
2 cm slice fresh ginger
1/4 cup for scoop-able frozen açaí
Blend until whipped and creamy. Top with peanut butter, cherries, more yog, granola, dark choc chunks and pomegranate.

Who else feels better after a green smoothie? 🥑 Recipe below! We love making green smoothies as they're usually packed with nutrients and leave us feeling more energised 💚💚💚
Ingredients (2 cups):
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 frozen avocados
- handful of spinach
- 150ml coconut milk
- 1 tbsp spirulina powder
- 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
- 1 tbsp agave syrup
Simply blend all your ingredients in a high speed blender and enjoy. If the mixture is not smooth, add more liquid.

VEGAN LAMINGTON TART
1 1/2 cups plain or all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp coconut oil, chilled
2 tbsp organic cane sugar
2 tbsp water, chilled
1 1/2 cups chopped chocolate
2/3 cup canned coconut cream
1 1/4 cups dessicated coconut
1/2 cup rice malt syrup
1/3 cup canned coconut cream
Raspberry Jelly layer
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
1/3 cup water
2 tsp agar powder
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a deep 20 cm loose bottom tart pan.
2. To make the crust: Add all the ingredients to food processor and mix until evenly combined and it forms a dough.
3. Dust a clean surface with flour. Roll the pastry onto the surface and carefully use a rolling pin to transfer the dough to the tin. Press the dough against the bottom and sides to form a crust.
4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until the surface is evenly golden brown.
5. To make the chocolate ganache layer: Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan over low heat. Melt until the mixture is very smooth then pour it into the tart tin. Set the tin in the freezer for 1 hour or until set.
6. To make the coconut layer: Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined. When the chocolate layer is firm enough, add the coconut mixture to the tart. Firmly press the mixture and set aside the tin in the freezer for 1 hour.
7. To make the jelly layer: Slice the 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries in half. Add the remaining raspberries and water to blender and blend. Use a sieve to remove the seeds from the raspberry liquid. Add the raspberry water, sweetener and agar to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour the liquid into the tart and quickly arrange the berries on top Set aside in the fridge for 3 hours or until the whole tart is set.
