May we spend today celebrating our differences, and our ability to come together despite our unique backgrounds. If a tropical orchid and a dry desert pampas grass can work together, certainly we can too. Happy Presidents Day to everyone, no matter what you believe in or where you come from. Nothing but love from Sidecar Florals. ❤️
Check out Jill and Drew's climbing and camping couples session from Joshua Tree on the blog today!!! Loved capturing their love while doing some of their favorite things to do together on this session. What's your favorite thing to do with your partner?! ⬇️

Apparently this is the year of the Summer and Fall wedding because we still have Spring dates available! So if you are last minute or eloping this Spring hit us up - we may even have a special bonus for booking your Spring event with us ✨
Katie & Warren’s stunnnnning elopement in San Diego is one of my favorites, like ever!! The most beautiful golden sunset, her stunning dress (like WHAT!), & their magnetic connection has me wishing I could hang with them over and over again!

What a beautiful bouquet arrangement created by Fifty Flowers! 🌷
Mahalo Nui Loa to Karlee + Alo for allowing us to be part of their special day! ⠀
We love when couples unite their two families together and celebrate their cultural traditions! Their day was complete with Tahitian dancers, Hawaiian BBQ, and Dole Whip for a very sweet finish 🍍 ⠀

My heart is full from yesterday’s engagement session, I say it all the time but it’s true I have the most amazing clients!! Not only do they trust my vision but also don’t mind a little ‘hike’ adventure with a prego lady (more on this later ✨) so excited for their upcoming Temecula wedding next month!
Speaking of Temecula and all things weddings I realized this morning that every single wedding I have ever shot out here I have been pregnant 😆 is that a sign that Temecula 🍷 after a wedding is not in my future?! Kidding I’m putting it out in the universe more Temecula/ winery weddings please!! I’m here for all of them 🤞🏼❤️

Can I work in national parks exploring and taking pictures of cute couples forever??? ✨
A common worry I hear from brides is that their hair is to short for the hair style they want to achieve— little do they know magic can be done even with shorter hair! ✨
This up do was accomplished on above shoulder length hair. Mind you she did have super thick hair so that’s why it’s still very full! Moral of the story, don’t let the length of your hair kill all your hair dreams; simply communicate to your stylist about your needs & wants. There’s always a way to compromise & get that perfect hairstyle! 🥰
When Tim and I were engaged he wore his wedding ring.
It wasn’t what most considered “normal” for a guy who is engaged. But he was just as excited as I was for what was ahead of us. What do you think about guys wearing their rings before they’re married? Would you do it?

Am I the only one who hides during 3 day weekends? 🙈 Just to avoid the extra people out and about? I'm the most introverted extrovert I know. I love everyone but there are times where there are too many people out there and I get over REAL FAST 😂
So awesome to see this incredible Punta Mita, MX wedding with @alison_events up on @brides today! Working alongside of @jessetombs for this wonderful family was such a pleasure. The realities of international weddings are never easy, but amidst the challenges (almost went to jail with @wild_heart_events) you can’t help but love waking up to the waves crashing and getting to work with all the stunning local foliage and floral. Huge thanks to my killer team who worked through the night (also to avoid the humidity) to pull this one off! More amazing photos by @normanandblake to come!
Day 4: commit! The best thing you can do for your couples session is commit. Remember, your photographer is telling you to do stuff that is going to make you look GOOD. We’re not here to make you look bad or weird. So if I tell you to do something, GO FOR IT 100%. I’ll be straight up and say “this is so weird but it’s going to look so good I promise.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The only time you’re not going to look great is if you hesitate, or don’t try. I know it might feel like “how is this going to look good?” but I’ve been doing this for so long, I KNOW it will. You’re about to make a life long commitment to the one you love, I’m pretty sure you can commit to “gently rubbing your noses all over each other’s face” for 30 seconds.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But in the end, it’s always MY job to make you feel comfortable. It’s 10000% my goal to make all my couples feel like my friend so they can be themselves in front of the camera. That’s where the magic happens! So sit back, relax, and let’s do this!
