Back in the 70s to mid 90s automobile designs were more adventurous and daring than today’s; These days all cars do look the same whereas on those days car designs were far more distinctive and more unique to each and every manufacturer. Don’t you agree? 🚗
1970 Marcos Mantis. Possibly one of the ugliest cars ever made in Britain (and beyond?), the Mantis was a glass-fibre monstrosity with a 2.5 litre Triumph engine. Only 32 Mantises found buyers and Marcos, which had been making race cars and kit cars in the mid sixties, went bust in 1972. The shot from above makes it look quite interesting, but it’s only from the front three-quarter view that the full aesthetic onslaught becomes apparent. I suppose it’s remarkable for being a curious attempt to make a British four seater touring car. But maybe I’ll just leave it at that, and let you gaze at the automotive horror.
Hello, Darling!💕 We passed this adorable restaurant a few times while we were in London (and tried, with no luck, to get dinner reservations—have to reserve early!). However, enormous loading trucks were always parked in front, so I couldn’t get a good shot of it. Borrowing this extra darling one from @lepinkfigaro (whom I also spotted and snapped while there—cutest li’l pink car!☺️💗). Happy new week, darlings!💕

Captions are funny aren’t they. Sometimes I write myself a whole essay on here, but someone else can just say “good morning! ☀️ ” as their caption and get a whole ream of replies 😂I’m not complaining, I just find Instagram quite funny sometimes!! Maybe I should practice being more concise... i am a bit of a self-professed rambler.
