Hello! Mother-daughter duo are back from sunny Barbados! It has been an amazing week, full of warmth, both literally and figuratively. Am glad I got this time with my LO, it is so important to cherish every moment as they grow up.
Barbados promised sun and sea, and was a direct flight from Gatwick. The same thought crossed the minds of many families as a full flight headed off to Bridgetown last weekend. We opted to stat in an all-inclusive hotel, where the package includes all meals.
Barbados has an interesting history. It is the furthest east of all the Carribbean/West Indies so the N and E shores are pummeled by the Atlantic Ocean and the next landfall is in Africa. The W and S coasts, on the other hand, enjoy the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea and this is where the hotels are based. All beaches are public so you can wander down from a vacation rental, hire a car to drive around the island or just stay put on the beach. 'Discovered' by the British in 1625, an earlier Portugese expedition is much forgotten. The Amerindians were chased off and a new vantage point was created for trade and a naval base in the Indies. Irish and Scottish prisoners were sent here to work in plantations with seven years to freedom or 7+3 to get a plot of land. Not long after, the Portugese were back, talking of 'free' slave labour and the majority white population gradually dwindled as the West Africans came over to stay.
While tourism is the mainstay of the island nation, it still retains an unspoiled feel. Popular activities include renting a catamaran for the day, fishing, horse riding, sight-seeing and chilling. We did the last three 😃 the highlights are Sir Gary Sobers and Rihanna, not necessarily in that order.

Are you going somewhere warm for spring break? Don’t forget to order Sun Screen. Young Living Sun Screen is non toxic. Whatever we put on our skin gets absorbed into our bodies. It is important to use products with clean ingredients.
It wasn’t a perfect trip at all!! Last minute planned, looooong airport lines, bad food overall, horrible shower, no mini bar, rainy days and poorly service... hahahahaha!! But the sun never disappoints me, when he shows up makes me forget everything else and we even start laughing about the crappy wine... hahahahaha!! Tell me about your worst trip ever so I can feel good about mine... hahahahaha!!! ——- 😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈🌴🌴🌴
#familytrip#springbreak#winterbreak #

When I was looking into buying a new car, @autotrader_com made it much easier for me to compare prices and decide which vehicle fit our family best. Purchasing a car is a HUGE decision! Autotrader added Kelley Blue Book Price Advisor to their car listings so it makes us feel confident about our purchase. Yall know our family takes tons of road trips and we’re excited to be traveling to Galveston and Waco this spring break. #driveintospring#lifeindrive#springbreak#springbreakroadtrip . Sharing some simple tips to make traveling with children easier: .
