Yesterday, @chantelledionphotography posted this far left picture. I am so in love with everything about it and I've probably looked at it a million times. SO I figured it's perfect inspiration for a mood board!
We made it to Wednesday! Who else needs a cocktail already?! ✋🏻🍊🥂✨

This is an authentic F3 Midori Cotton Notebook! These are often sold out at most retailers and hard to find.
Lovely, smooth pages that are perfect for all sorts of pens, including fountain pens!
This notebook features MD Cotton paper, which is made with 20% cotton pulp. The cotton fibers are longer, thinner, and more absorbent than wood pulp, making this paper faster drying and slightly smoother than standard MD notebook paper—without losing any of its fountain pen friendliness.
It was made in Japan to create a superbly pleasant writing experience. MD paper is rigorously tested to ensure that it is bleed-resistant, feather-resistant, and fountain pen friendly. The notebook has a sturdy thread binding that lies flat when open, making it easy to write. It also comes with a ribbon marker to keep your place. The cover is not a typical notebook cover. To showcase the charm of the paper itself, the cloth tape used to bind the spine, usually hidden by a cover, is exposed, giving the notebook a unique look. You can even see where the ribbon marker is glued in place. The notebook also comes with sticker labels that can be used to label the notebook.
The sizes of MD Notebook Cotton have been optimized for drawing, with the range now featuring F0 size (H180xW140mm), F2 size (H240xW190mm) and an F3 variant (H273x210mm). Incidentally, the F stands for “figure” – this French standard is based on the golden ratio for portraits and other pictures.
She’s coming! The birth announcement I created 3.5 years ago will be available in the shop this week! 🥳
Sometimes being a mom means letting go of the “perfect” timeline. I wanted to create the *perfect* card to welcome missy, but I felt squeezed for time and money #firstchild and instead chose to focus my time on her in the 10 short weeks I had before going back to work.
Then the first birthday came and went so I let the file sit and wait. Next, our son was born, and I gave myself more time to design his announcement. Now finally, I’m going to print hers, so both my babies have mementos of their birth 🥰
It’s a wrap for our first wedding expo! Thank you to everyone who dropped by our stall. It was so fun setting up the stall, seeing it turned to reality from the initial mock up drawing. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and the amazing vendors at the expo. Thank you @pure_bride for having me. Till next year 🖤
Finally completed my own bookmark! This design shows places from some of my favourite childhood, and adulthood books. And no, Portland is not in reference to 50 shades, just a happy coincidence 😉 it is actually the book 'If I Stay' These can have any wording you fancy in this design. Maybe loads of wizarding words for any Harry Potter fans!
Bookmark listing will be live in 5 minutes, have had some technical difficulties with uploads to the website but now all sorted.
hey! 🙋🏼♀️ it's been a little while since i've introduced myself and showed my face around here!
i'm courtney, the owner and designer behind courtney rose design. i am a self taught calligrapher and illustrator creating greeting cards, wood signs and stationery to inspire you to appreciate all the beautiful moments in life, big or small! 💕
today I found out it is small business week and not only am i the sole designer as well as wearing many hats such as managing social media & marketing, customer service, product packaging & shipping, financials (and more!). i love all aspects of my business and i am so thankful for the support i've received over the years and the amazing people i have met, and look forward to meeting many more!
there's so many ups and downs that come with owning a small business, and with the busy holiday season coming up it's so important to remember to fill your own cup and take time for yourself.
it's hard to do your best work or be your true self when you're not feeling good enough or worthy, comparing yourself, and have a negative mindset. i truly love what i do but felt stuck in how to move past those hard times, and i'm so grateful to alexcia (@soulstudio.yqr) for her guidance and the tools on how to get past those thought patterns and look inward to accept and appreciate all the good there is in life! and i'm so excited to meet her in person this weekend at her workshop @_basketfullgifts! 💕
this upcoming season i'm looking forward to cozy mornings with my coffee in an old teacup, the snowy days where the sun is shining, and getting to create and share what i love to do most!
what is your favourite thing to do to take time for yourself? a walk outside or reading your favourite book? i want to hear from you!
p.s. be sure to follow @soulstudio.yqr because everything she shares is exactly what i need to hear and her heart is pure gold ⭐
I’m sure others can attest to this, but my husband is the best at capturing behind the scenes moments. Usually I’m so focused, I either don’t notice him or I forget he’s there 😂 If you know Rob, you’ve definitely seen him with a camera because 9 times out of 10, he’s the one behind it. I am so thankful that he believes in the work I am doing so much, that he took these photos for me. Often times, these moments look like a messy bun and my favorite sweater falling off my shoulders (see last two photos). Typically it is strained eyes, a stiff neck, and cramped hands, but despite that, I can’t get enough of it. The process for both of these signs began with a vision, some math, a grid, and ambition. After free handing a sketch, I removed the grid, traced my sketch, then erased any remaining grid marks. Sometimes I sketch out ideas in my process book before starting a sign, but this time I just knew what I wanted and went for it! Check out my website to see some of the design work I created for our wedding and stay tuned for more!

I love that more and more stores are opting to go sleeveless (cards sans the plastic packaging) to reduce plastic useage. Retailers, you can always let us know you want to go plastic-free, and we're working on an option for the site to select sleeved or not as well 😁
