Don't skip your legday 👊🏾🦵🏾👌🏽 ☆🔴Among the things that many people are unaware of, the male hormone increases its production (a little) when doing exercises for a man. For example, an exercise like the squats helps to increase the production of testosterone (the male hormone) and this thing has great benefits, such as increasing muscle mass, even in the upper parts of the body, Yes, when you do exercises for men, this helps you to enlarge.
Breakfast! I'm glued to my desk today, so I needed something quick and easy. When I was commuting 3 hours a day, my favorite coffee shop sold these and I would pick up one on my Friday and enjoy it while I read my emails at work. When I saw this on sale at my grocery store,I had to grab one for old times sake! 🥰
I added 1 cup of almond milk and 2 tablespoons of flax seeds 💜
So I’m in Jamaica at an all inclusive adults only resort. My fellow humans start drinking early and go all day. Hard. Music is playing, there are swim up bars and drinking games. People are having fun. And I’m feeling a little like an outsider. I’m with everyone but I’m not really “with” them.
I decide to crack this book and as I’m looking out over the clear blue water, I read this on page 208:
“...I am reminded that the self was never real; that we are all one and undivided, a rolling and unlimited ocean of being, awakening and forgetting, rising and falling with the tides of our lives, happy only in unity.”
I turn my gaze back to my fellow humans and feel a deep connection to them. I’m filled with love for them. Most are strangers. Drunk strangers but still...a connection.
I am probably the only person reading this book on this entire island and I’m totally ok with that.

It’s been too long since posting trainer tips on my Insta. Well.. I’m back! This is my client, Elaine, who I’ve been training since my Carpe Diem days 6 years ago. The Deadlift is her favorite lift, and Friday is Dead Day 💪🏼🔥 Instead of the traditional barbell deadlift, we use a trap bar (also known as a hex bar). A colleague once called it the “user friendly” deadlift, and I agree. The trap bar allows the weight to be placed at our center of gravity, which decreases the load placed on our low back (as opposed to the barbell, which places all of the weight in front of you). For those you lack spinal and hip mobility, this is a MUCH safer way to pull heavy weight. You DON’T want your spine in a rounded (flexed) position.. keep your hips and shoulders back to prevent this. Brace your core and squeeze your glutes all the way to the top. Do you avoid deadlifts because they hurt or just feel wrong? Grab the trap bar and give it a try! 💪🏼😜🔥 #Trainer#TrainerTip#PersonalTrainer#Client#Deadlift#TrapBar#HexBar#Powerlift#Fitness#Strong#Core#Back#Glutes#Mobility#HeavyLifting

Building a solid #core is a long term game. It's not automatic when you are 20 and it doesn't end at 35 years old.
I'll be turning 40 in 2020, and I keep making constant progress on building a natural, strong and functional mid section. Understanding what "core" really means helps refining and improving it.
They key is to train #calisthenics and use your core to perform actual movements. Isolation will not work in the long run, and you most likely won't tap in the deep muscle tissue like obliques and transverse abdominis. More importantly, everyone needs to remember that the glutes and lower back muscle are also part of the "core". I will be making a Q&A video next week, where I address the pitfalls most of us fall into when it come to building natural, tangible, supplement free and long term results.
Feel free to DM your questions in the meantime. I'll do my best to answer it in the video.
You can read more about the topic on our blog in the meantime at http://streetworkoutacademy.com/2017/09/the-core/
You can also join our Online Training Academy Facebook group and ask any questions there!

❌ Don’t let the weekends be your WEAK ends...❌
Who else struggles with weekends?
They are challenging, and temptations are everywhere!
✅ Here are 5 tips to stay on track this weekend! ✅
➡️ Bring your own food. Now I know this looks weird and sounds weird but if you’re going to see a friend or you’re just sitting around and hanging out chances are you’ll want to order out food or go out to eat. If you bring and have a meal handy, you can eat that instead. Be prepared, and say no!
➡️ Plan what you’re doing ahead of time. Offer to make dinner (so that you can fit it into your day, and not feel guilty) and so you can pick what you both are eating for that night. OR pick the restaurant ahead of time so you can look up the menu and find a better choice so you know what you’re having before going.
➡️ Have coffee/tea dates. Great way to catch up with friends that doesn’t involve eating!!! It’s a good solution to be able to spend time with others and not have the pressure of ordering bad food or a drink.
➡️ Remain social, but have will power. Know you limits. Don’t grab the bad food when you’re not in the right state of mind 🍻😜. Choose wisely and don’t over do it!
➡️ Don’t skip your training sessions because it’s the weekend!!! If you know you need to train, do it.
Here’s to a great weekend, Happy Friday! 🙌🏼
