In-home engagement sessions. I love the intimacy of them. I love that my clients invite me into such a special space.
It's often the first home they share, and where they come home for the first time as a married couple. It's where they will do all the regular, everyday things that make up a life together. They will burn dinner, binge Netflix, host parties, bring home babies (or a puppy), laugh and cry, get sick, fight, and celebrate highs and lows.
I’m thankful to be there from the beginning ❤️

Just when I thought Emerald & Jeff’s day couldn’t be any more magical, we find these three cuties right above us in our golden hour Saguaro during portraits. 💚💛🧡
This and SO many more beautiful prints will be available in my print shop real soon! 🥰
“ Are you going to get a real job one day?” One of the questions I usually get asked.
my “real job” is this. Photographer + ( everything else behind running a successful business) . If I listened to others I wouldn’t be here now enjoying every moment of this beautiful life.
So I’m here today to tell you... be different, don’t follow anyone, make your own path even if it takes a little while to clear your way through the thickest trees, and yes it’s going to be hard.
But in the end you know it is real and it’s your hard work that made it possible. X- D
Are you a Night Owl 🦉 or an Early Bird 🐦 ???
I used to be a Night Owl but now I'm somewhere in between. I start my work at around 11am and try completing it within 6pm. And I take unlimited breaks in between 🤩 and sometimes I work just 2 hours a day!!! #freedombusiness and super grateful for it 💕
👉 How about you ???
This little home is original to the property and was home to foreman of the farm. In fact, it was a residence up until only a few decades ago! Nowadays, it's just a special place for us to display heirlooms and flowers... and the perfect spot for amazing wedding photos like this. 👨🏻🌾🌾🏠💗🏩🌳⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A helpful tip I learned when stamping wax seals: If you find your stamp sticking to your wax, chill it on ice for a few minutes before stamping. This allows for an easier release of the stamp.
BONUS TIP: Be sure and have a lint free cloth close by to wipe off any extra moisture from the ice.
“We’re living in an era where capturing moments using our phone is more important than actually living these moments with whoever is beside us.”
Phones are extremely useful and essential to our work life but let’s not allow it to become a distraction from the real important things, those around us.
Setting limits and structuring our phone time so our children don’t see these devices in our hands often is important. 🙌🏾 #bepresent#slowdown

Despite I like winter season and skiing, I am very much looking forward to spring and start to enjoy the daylight getting a bit longer everyday. A throwback to Sarah-Maude and Tristan, living in the wonderful Canada who choose @Vignamaggio as their wedding destination. And you? What are your plans for springbreaks? Would you like to come in site inspections with me??
“What delights us in visible beauty is the invisible.”
Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach
This quote is true of all beauty—nature or art—but I think it is also why our loved ones can become more beautiful to us the deeper we know them.
It is why all brides are beautiful. They shine with the love not just of their betrothed but of the community that is celebrating with them.
And, it is why I have a hard time picking one picture of @zahriya.zachary from this editorial with @greenhouse_creative. Zahriya’s soul surpasses and magnifies her already considerable external beauty.

I love snow just like any other girl but this time of the year I'm usually going through photos that brings me back to that warm and beautiful sunny day.
Just a black and white photo of a bride and her dad. They did the most special first look - with a tiny break in the rain (it rained like 8 inches on this day - rainiest day in Redland history to that date), around the corner of an old building on this avocado farm. Just one of a million super meaningful moments that happened at this wedding. One for the books - and one I’ll never forget. Venue: @estancia_culinaria // planning: @masievents . .
Just a few of my favs from Natalie + Ryan’s wedding this past summer in Minnesota! 👉🏼✨Head to the blog to see more of their downtown Minneapolis wedding!

#waxsealwednesday ✨That's a thing right?
We knew what we wanted to create for this monogram in the very beginning – script initials with a floral illustration. But once the design started to come together, the script J and A changed to this classic serif that we just love! Just another example of many that shows how we work together every step of the way to create the invitations of your dreams 💛

Ya’ll, Paul and I are officially under 100 days until our wedding! 😍I’m still searching for my shoes, trying to decide how I want to wear my hair, and have a lot of loose ends to tie up!
On a side note, this sweet couple gets married in just a few weeks! Cannot wait for their big day!

I’ve done a few podcasts + online interviews lately that have asked me a similar question: what is ONE thing you wish you could go back and tell yourself at the beginning of your business? And I wanted to share my answer with you.
The biggest thing I wish I had known at the beginning? To EMBRACE the pieces of me that are DIFFERENT.
I began my business as a 17 year old high schooler. My competition was photographers who had been established in my area for DECADES. Incredible artists who had multiple children that were my age and credibility beyond belief...meanwhile I barely had a driver’s license.
I spent quite a long time trying to figure out what made THEM successful. How did they operate? What editing softwares did they use? Which equipment did they have? How did they operate their client workflows and experiences? Because OBVIOUSLY I needed to do it just like them to be successful, right?
So, so, so wrong.
It took me a long time to learn that the thing that was going to make me successful was to lean into the things that made me who I am. Once I learned that, the game CHANGED.
So, if I can offer YOU one piece of encouragement, it’s this:
STOP looking around you to figure out what works best for YOU. You don’t need validation. You don’t need approval. You don’t have to seek out someone else’s answers to move forward. If your business and workflows and life look completely different than anyone else you can find in the industry right now...you are at an ADVANTAGE. The things that make you unique give you a leg up. Stop hiding behind what “fits the mold” and embrace what makes you unique - you were designed that way on purpose. ❤️

Hope your Monday was as LIT as their kiss! 💋 Love when the sun-flare hits at just the right spot! (No photoshop tricks here). .
Speaking of light...let’s spread more love & light in this world. A lot of chaos is happening recently, from tragic deaths to crazy viruses, but instead of hiding away, let’s spread more light than darkness. .
Hug someone, compliment a complete stranger, buy your friend coffee, get your wife flowers for no reason, tell someone you miss them...I’ve been so slacking on this & need to get outside of my editing cave...but I’m catching on work so I can enjoy this beautiful gift God gave me called life before it comes to an end. .
What’s one thing we should do more of to brighten up someone’s day? Or what’s the nicest thing someone has recently done for you?
The dress of all dresses. ✨ The only time I haven’t moved a dress from the bridal suite bc 😍.

I always love when clients set aside time for sunset photos! Amanda and Bea eloped at @belmondelencanto and after taking photos around the venue we caught the beautiful sunset at the beach. Such a gorgeous, heartfelt wedding 💕
