Black Tahitian pearls are considered to be the second most valuable commercially farmed pearls in the world. Unlike black freshwater and black akoya pearls, which have been irradiated or dyed, Tahitians come by their dark color naturally. 💎 💍 .
Pearls for men! We have one pair of these very unique cuff links made with huge, 14mm Tahitian keshi pearls. Keshi are a happy accident of pearl culture when the oyster ejects the nucleus to create mostly baroque beauties usually in the 1 to 8mm range. Tahitian keshi pearls of this substantial size are rare and it’s doubtful you’ll ever find another pair quite like these. .

Yesterday was a disaster. I knew #motherhood would be tough on me because I’m a planner, a control freak, and a germaphobe - all those things that you kind of have to throw away when you have a little one ruining your plans almost daily, bending or downright ignoring your rules, and making messes at the worst times and places. Yesterday was one of those days. The day we planned to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center and experience the cultures of #Hawaii , #Fiji , #Samoa , #Tonga , #Tahiti , and New Zealand. Well, we missed the #Tahitian show because our kiddo insisted on walking there by himself and kept getting sidetracked by birds and lights. We missed the #Hawaiian show because he insisted on joining the dancers on stage and had a meltdown when he was told No. We missed the #Samoan show because he wanted to look at a chicken in the bushes and had no interest in watching a few tanned guys on stage showing off their abs and other muscles. We missed the #Luau because he had two diaper emergencies during the show. And we missed the night show because he got too tired after a day of chasing birds and chickens and needed to head to his crib. Oh well. Such is life of a #mother . At least I got this picture that I’m going to put in his photo album and capture it with “Fun Times at the Polynesian Cultural Center” Or something equally cheesy. And the rest is history and stories on Instagram that will be wiped out in 24 hours.
P.S. At least I got lei’d 🌺 #polynesianculturalcenter#adulting#thisismotherhood
A long-time lover of the tropical nature, Anthurium, a native heart-shaped flower, is a great piece to capture the essence of the island's exotic and beautiful backdrop. Just like the flower, this bangle is long-lasting and irresistibly bold.
If you’ve ever seen my face when I sing this song, you know that this one gets me emotional haha. The meaning is so deep and beautiful, it always catches me without a doubt. Thank you to my @tevaruaori fam for another great show.
It seems like
Nothing break the power of love
Nothing is equal
Not crude or bitter
Over benefits of love
The night and the day
The day and the night
From the deep of the world
Power of humility

HK had their final Weekend Warrior Drop-In Class for the month of November.
Here, in this video is the 8pm Solo Choreography Class which was choreographed by Noa & Jeannie Napoleon. Towards the end of the night, Jeannie’s assistant, LeiIsa Case, performed the choreography one last time with brave volunteers who wanted to display what they learned for family and friends who came in to watch.
HK would like to thank all who dropped-in and for their support. You are all Weekend Warriors!
Follow us on IG & FB to see when the next Drop-In Class will be! We hope to see you then!

I don’t dance correctly
That’s right I don’t.
I don’t dance correctly according to some standards, but I dance correctly to others.
Every village of any island has different styles and that’s the beauty of the dance itself. That it gives us a sense of identity. So you could be able to tell where one person grew up just by the way they perform.
If you have joined multiple dancing schools you’ll notice they all have a “style.” They have a certain way of performing a certain motion as a different school may have another way to perform that same motion. It honestly all depends on the origin of the instructors. Where they grew up, who taught them, etc.
I myself dance differently than the ones I have learned from in many different cultures, not because I couldn’t learn their style, but because I came from a different background
So there’s actually no wrong way of dancing, it’s all mainly the origins of the instructors or performer, and their preferences
I will say though it has been a blessing to learn from so many different teachers with different dancing and teaching styles
