11/9/19, a day I will always remember.
Savannah and Joe got married just a few hours before the birth of my niece.
Yes, I attended both events!
The ceremony was a true test for “being in the moment”.
Of course I had no idea that this is how it would all unfold. The wedding was the only one I had booked in a span of a month.
I had been at the Truckee hospital since 6:30am supporting my sis alongside my daughter (junior birth supporter), our doula @douladre, and sis’ hubby.
I left for @tannenbaumevents
at 1pm for the 3pm ceremony. I surrendered to the acceptance that I might return and baby would be born and ready to meet me.
Changed in the car, and grounded my mind.
The wedding was gorgeous, warm fall air and beautiful design by @turquoiseandtrue.
The vows were sweet, the kiss exciting, and the marriage license signed.
I was back in the car by 4pm, no baby yet, and cruised back to Truckee. Luckily no speeding tickets!
Entered hospital by 4:45 and baby was born at 6:30pm.
Isabella Elaine Lois 8.9lbs and the most hair ever!
Can’t wait to tell her all about her birthday and what a gift it was that she waited for me.
Being there with my daughter through this experience for my sis and niece was everything 💝
I am so grateful that all the stars aligned ✨✨✨
Loved working with the vendor team @turquoiseandtrue @epik.weddings @helianthusfloral @raquelkingphotography
This time of the year in Tahoe is fenomenal and Liz + Ron could have not chosen a better time. Ron wants to surprise Liz. After a few conversations on the phone and making sure that our plan was ready to go, we met by Eagle Rock Trail. Everything went way better that we planned and that is how is supposed to go. Congratulations @ronlau24 .

My 20 year old self would never have imagined what 37 year old me would be when she grew up 💜 Considering that I used to be terrified at public speaking. In high school I would feel faintish when presenting in front of people and even have moments of not remembering what I said or did after I was complete with the presentation. College was a tiny bit easier, though I will never forget my dreaded speech class.
So how did I become an officiant, leading couples and guests through the most important and monumental moments in their life?
I give a ton of credit to my training and experience as a Kundalini Yoga teacher. I attended a training 10 years ago over a 9 month period in Portland Oregon.
Kundalini yoga utilizes many vocal mantras lead by the teacher, pushing me to learn, grow and embrace the challenge of stepping outside of my comfort zone. It’s a powerful space to hold, and eventually I began to get a “buzz” from teaching.
There’s a lot more to say about Kundalini yoga, but for now I encourage you to look into it, it’s a technology all to itself.
After teaching in Oregon and then in Maui, my students offered glowing feedback. It was medicine for me, a beautiful focus outside of mothering my young children and a wonderful way to connect with community. I gained so much confidence, strength, and useful tools for self care.
As weddings came to be more on the forefront, I became aware that I needed to focus my energy more on my couples and step away from teaching yoga. It wasn’t a difficult decision, nor do I miss it. My role now feels quite similar, I’m very much fulfilled (as I often share) and for now it’s wonderful to be a student in a yoga class and have someone else take the reins. Also, I’ve learned to not stretch myself too thin, to say no to things and embrace the different chapters in life.
Public speaking is still outside of my comfort zone, but now I love the rush I get from it. I feed off the energy from my couples, it’s a transcendent experience.
pc @jocexphoto a thrilling moment delivering my MOH speech at my sister’s wedding last year.
I don’t take this job lightly, it’s so awesome that I get to be a part of these beautiful moments. I’m often in disbelief that this is my job and my couples invite me into their lives, trusting me and offering me this opportunity. I
love hearing love stories and all details that lead up to their wedding day, and then helping them express what it all means and share what their hopes and dreams are. I know it’s a huge day for my couples, for me it’s also a very special day that fills me up in so many ways.✨✨✨
I will always be a fan of a tram entrance and a panoramic view. Kate and Dan love Tahoe and wanted to share this beautiful part of our world with their loved ones. They exchanged their vows mountaintop @skiheavenly with all the florals designed by Kate’s mother who came from New Jersey, I’m so impressed with how she managed this.
Teaser! These are some of my favorite shots I got while working with Johnny B. Films.

Our endless table wrapped around the lake and rocky granite terrain of Hideout Kirkwood near Lake Tahoe this month. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We wanted to deliver something wholly remarkable for our client and brought infrastructure needed to create on a part of the land that couldn't have been used this way before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This one goes out to our production team for three days of running, four craft cocktail bar activations, three AV setups, two unique dining experiences, and lighting for events plus safe and easy movement across the entire property, including a beautiful walk along the rock face to and from this dinner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oh, and for this picture, which was taken by one of the team, @alecscottphoto Much ore to come from Alec. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, @thehideoutweddings are some of the most committed, knowledgable, and generous location partners we have had the pleasure to work with. Seek them out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1 year ♥️ Finally sharing our wedding pictures and a small post up on the blog! Happy anniversary, @brownie2828 😘
Every couple has a story that leads to saying "I Do" & we believe there is so much beauty in sharing those stories. Each couple has such a unique path that is perfectly them & for us to be a part of continuing that story is why we do what we do. With that being said, here is the very first #FMKEcouple love story! .
Say hello to #FMKEcouple Kristi & Garrett! We are beyond excited to help plan their big day ❤️ Photo Credit: @kaykroshus
If you live in San Francisco and enjoy spending winter weekends in the mountains, you might find yourself joining a 'Ski Lease' (a rental home with 16 friends/acquaintances/strangers in North Lake Tahoe.) Garrett was no stranger to this idea, he had been part of a different lease for 3 years prior to joining a new house for the 2015 season. Kristi being new to the ski scene was introduced to the ski lease by her good friend from work. On January 10th, while early dawn broke over the stunning slopes of squaw valley in to what can only be described as an opening scene to a classic 80’s ski movie; the 2015 ski lease was underway. Waking up to hungover friends and strangers, trucks were loaded with gear and gloves went on with the promise to all later meet up on the mountain shredding the sweet morning powder. While all coming together at the base of the Big Blue lift Kristi pointed to Garrett and asked him to please help her adjust her ski boot. Garrett being the gentleman he is, kindly asked Kristi to hold his beer, while he tightened her boot. With the group in tow, they went up the ski lift one more time before taking a quick break for a beverage - which is when Garrett excitedly learned Kristi was in fact in his ski lease and not just a random damsel in distress. That's where their love story began... #lovestory#wedding#ido#proposal#proposalstory#weddedwonderland#engagement#engagementphotos#tahoe#tahoewedding#tahoeunveiled
