❤️С Днем Святого Валентина❤️
Острова Фиджи уникальны и необычайно красивы. Например, остров Таваруа в форме сердца 💚
На острове есть единственный отель Tavarua Island resort.
Хотели бы там побывать? 😉

Body Intuition and Yoga Injuries- Honor your body. You are sacred. Emerge gently into your Truest Essence.——————————————————————————-
I love coming up against, exploring, and moving through limitations, GENTLY, with the breath guiding the movement. The body opens gradually; daily. If it’s too fast, it’s not yoga; I can get injured, and then progress comes to a standstill until it heals. ——————————————————————————-
Yoga injuries remind us to tune into our innate body intuition and listening skills. These injuries are the result from the will force or ego overpowering our innate listening skills. ——————————————————————————-
It doesn’t matter what our pose looks like or how close we get to say, touching our toes, today. Take the ego out of the equation. Listen to how the body feels. If it feels bad pain, ease off. When it needs rest then switch to a more yin practice for the day. When we are in tune with the body and listening to these signals, injury doesn’t happen and we have a sustainable practice that will carry us well into our later years. When we gently explore these boundaries daily, gradually, over time, the deeper postures become possible for the body. The body will naturally open up to the more advanced postures. For me , this started happening after 5 years of dedicated daily practice and progressing in this sustainable manner. Inyengar and other great masters say it takes 7 years of consistent practice to master the advanced postures in Hatha yoga. Others say it’s 12 years. (Iyengar was suffering from physical disabilities from birth when he started). I hope people who follow this Insta see the possibility and benefit, whether it takes them 7 or 12 years.
Last month I wrote a a series of 3 posts on how to avoid ending up in the chiropractor’s office. Please check it out, because it dives deeper into this topic
Here Jeff is gently assisting me into a fuller expression of #mandukaasana

Here's one from a while back... I should have trusted @gadestar (who put me into this one). He gave me a nice whip way up the reef, but I felt too far back and didn't let go. I saw him shake his head, then I let go of the rope and completely missed the best part of the wave... 😳💦 #tavaruaislandresort #cloudbreak
7 days of the most intense surfing I’ve ever done. Waking up every morning at 5am to surf Cloudbreak, one of the most powerful waves in the World. If you fall on this wave at low tide you can get washed inside to an area they call Shish Kabobs which is just a few feet of water over razor sharp reef. Luckily the group escaped with minimal reef rash and lots of great photos from one of he best in the business 📷 @nickliotta .
One week in Tavarua and my life forever changed. Such an amazing special place. Little Heart Island in the middle of the South Pacific less than a mile around, but a lifetime of memories. Vinaka 📸 @nickliotta
Super fun little session out at #restaurantstavarua somewhere I’ve always dreamed of surfing. Only small but dreamy conditions. actually not the easiest place to surf when it’s this small due to the pace of the wave and how freaking shallow it is 🙆🏼♂️ ha I was pre warmed about how shallow it was but I still didn’t expect it to be as shallow as it was. Trippy 🧜♂️
I know it’s been a few weeks but I miss this place a ton and can’t wait for my 12th trip back next year - I was fortunate enough to meet Laird Hamilton this trip, a true big wave legend and he was such a stud he helped me with my injured neck/back and also gave the crew breathing lessons in the pool. #tavaruaislandresort
Back to life....back to reality 🚁 .... 👋🏽Bye Tavarua it's been another amazing trip! #TavaruaIslandResort

Such an incredible week with 97 people we love on a heart shaped island in Fiji celebrating @juliamancuso@dylandafish for #dylanfishedjulia 2.0 without cars or phones. There are so many amazing pics it's so hard to pick what to post-but don't worry I'll keep them coming 😜. Thank you Jula and Dylan for the love you guys have for each other and for sharing it with us in Tavarua. I know what a feat it was to organize us all together and bring us to your special place! #takemeback#tavarua#tavaruaislandresort@tavaruaislandresort

Cloudbreak, Tavarua, Fiji, 1997 —
This twenty-foot wave at Cloudbreak reef, off Tavarua Island in Fiji, was shot on an epic surf trip with my nephew @jcking101, who set up the event with a number of top level surfer friends back in the day before digital capture made it possible to not have to change film in an open boat while repeatedly riding up and over the crest of giant waves. Canon EOS1n, 35-350mm f/3.5L, Fuji Velvia film.
