Sketches on paper are essential to the artist's production, as a lot of problem solving and experimentation of elements and figures happen in artists' notebooks. Practicing discipline in drawing flexed their creative muscles, warmed them up for major projects and final layouts.

Meet Leslie Harris!
Leslie began practicing mindfulness as a teen when overnight she became claustrophobic (thanks to puberty). As a fifth grade #teacher , she became fluent in adapting learning to make it more meaningful and accessible and has done the same with her approach to practicing mindfulness #techniques . Removing what is often a barrier to learning mindfulness strategies (reluctance to meditate), Leslie employs an uncomplicated approach to engage you in learning simple mindfulness techniques that can increase focus, quell anxiety, improve sleep, lower stress & calm overwhelm. All without ever silently sitting on a cushion!
Welcome to the Good Elephant #Denver#Teacher#Community ! 💛

I've just joined Skillshare, and will be following a tutorial by Ana Victoria Calderón, called 'Modern Watercolor Techniques: Beginner's Level'.
Skillshare currently has a 2-months-free offer, which I've taken advantage of! Looking forward to learning more visually from this talented artist!
I try really hard to never have regrets in my life and really believe that I am where I am supposed to be and everything happens for a reason. But still, the amount of times I’ve wished I could just hit the reset button on my day, week, month, year, life choices and start over!
Anyone felt like this before?!🙋♀️ I know I’m a therapist and people expect me to have my sh*t together, but I don’t because I’m human too. I make mistakes, I snap at people, I worry and I do dumb sh*t. I have no idea what I’m doing in my life either as, a lot of the plans I made, did not go to plan – how surprising, right (!)🤦♀️. I’m totally going with the flow and figuring it out as I stumble along and dealing with all of the uncertainty as best as I can.
Uncertainty is a huge part of life, there’s not really much in life that is 100% certain, apart from death as morbid as it sounds. However, if I had certainty over everything so I knew when I’d pass/fail exams, when and how I would die, when I would get really ill, if someone was buying me a present and what it was, if I had a car accident, if someone threw me a surprise party. What would this life with certainty look like? Boring? Takes the positives out of life? Does it stop me worrying? No.
So the point is, we don’t like uncertainty, but we also don’t like a life where we know everything. We can’t increase certainty to 100% either and we aren’t psychic so we can’t tell the future 🤯. This means we have got to learn how to increase our tolerance to the uncertainty and learn that actually we can cope with a lot more and a lot better than we thought 💪
There are no sure-fire secrets to answering an interview question. But there is an acronym…⭐ Knowing how to set up competency based questions can often be your key to success at an interview. And whilst we can’t provide you with the exact response you’ll be able to use, we can make sure you approach each one the right way...it’s all about technique.
