The Barbican Estate was built in the 1960s in an area devastated by war. Queen Elizabeth once described it as "one of the modern wonders of the world". The design: Brutalist residential blocks around communal areas and a vertical garden city.
Barbican Centre, the artistic soul of the estate pushes the boundaries of all major art forms inspiring people to discover and love the arts.
One of the best things about living in London in my opinion? The West end. Tonight I saw #waitressthemusical (with @melchantl and @thatdapperphotographer) and that was the 22nd show I saw in the past 3 years. Sure there will be many more to follow. Oh and also, the Waitress is a really good one! So go see it if you have the chance

It's time to say goodbye to two old friends ... Good Luck 🍀
Today has been one of those perfect autumn days where it’s sunny and the air is cool and crisp and the leaves continue to fall. The kind of day that’s perfect for a walk, in our case along the river to Newport Street Gallery.
Last week I was reluctant to stray far from home, mainly as I’ve just started potty training Milo and constantly felt the urgency to always be near a toilet (by this I mean I mainly stayed home and it was torture). He sorta skipped the whole ‘using the potty’ stage to only ever using a toilet, which is great, unless you’re in the middle of central London.
Though surprisingly, he’s done really well (oh god, I hope I didn’t jinx myself by saying that). So today was as good as any day to go and see ‘Reason Gives No Answers’ currently on at @newportstreetgallery_london. I’m pretty certain the last time I visited was before Milo was born, back when my number one priority was not ‘can you direct me to your nearest toilets, please!’. But luckily, the staff were all so friendly, directed me to toilets, where I can keep my stroller safe and left us to wander around.
We also stopped at Pharmacy 2, and considering it was mid-afternoon, was empty and we enjoyed milkshakes while admiring the café’s site-specific pieces: @damienhirst ‘s Medicine Cabinets and butterfly Kaleidoscope paintings. Milo was also given a Damian Hirst colouring book (thank you!). Hooray for milkshakes, and colouring books, and potty training, and art, and autumn.
Happy hump day! Autumn is upon us and you won't BELEAF what @milktraincafe have instore for you! 🍂
