BENCH PRESS....... So heres a little snippet from my fasted training session this morning, normally I wouldn't train heavy when fasted by had to today and was happy to have pushed out 100kg for 5 reps still. Notice that my grip is much narrower than what you often see in the gym, this is because most people grip the bar too wide and incorporate too much shoulder work, take a grip just slightly wider than shoulder width and keep the bar travelling over nipple line by keep the elbows tucked closer to the body, this will keep your shoulders in there safest position and allow for maximum weight.
Let's be real for a minute. . If I had to list all of the struggles I had when trying to lose weight post baby, consistency in my diet would be #1 . Here's what would usually happen: ➡️ Day 1: I decide that I'm going to cook this week to avoid eating out. I prepare a meal or two and really feel like I'm headed in the right direction. ➡️Day 3: I was so busy this weekend running errands and attending to my little one that I didn't even think to prepare meals for the week. I decide ordering food for one day won't hurt. I can cook tomorrow, right? ➡️Day 4: Omg! I woke up late. I only have about an hour to drop Aiden off and get to work. I guess I'll order food today too
After going through this cycle for almost two years, I realized that eating out everyday wasn't going to get me any closer to my goals.
That is where meal prep came in. At first, it was a bit overwhelming because I didn't have a routine. I didn't know how often to prep, the best foods to prep, or how much to prepare. I just knew that I needed to cook more and eat out less.

Have good posture: Stand up straight, shoulders back. It will create confidence, strength, positive, and ownership. Standing up straight will show that you are confident and ready to own it. Standing with your shoulders forward and slouching shows shyness and weakness.

Tip of the day: Look how far you've come. All of that progress is an accumulation of times that you were willing to reach a little further. You don't have to have a monumental gain to make progress. I’ve heard that owning a pet can actually have major health benefits. It can help lower blood pressure and stress! .

We had a dog when I was kid, but I was so susceptible to flea bites so they primarily lived outdoors. 🤷♀️
My neighbors had a dog and it bit me 😬
Annnnd I was convinced cats were out to get me. 🙀
Oh and I had a hamster that gave birth to babies and it legit bit one of its own babies legs off. Sooooo I was too scared to hold it. 🐹 .
So yeah...pet ownership just hasn’t been in the cards for me. .
Buttttt I also read that just by watching a fish swim it can help reduce muscle tension and be calming soooooo yay for our pet fish. Keep on swimming little Feisty 🐟

You’ve probably heard that "muscle weighs more than fat" however, A pound is a pound, as you see in the photo.... this should help you better understand why a photo can show results when the scales do not move.
Think about a pound of marshmallows (fat) vs. a pound of apples (muscle). Both weigh the same, yet carrying around a pound of marshmallows is going to take up A LOT more 'room' than carrying around a pound of apples.😲 💪🏻Since a pound of muscle is smaller in size than a pound of fat (fat takes up approximately 4x the space of muscle tissue) it's very possible to LOOK and FEEL slimmer even if your weight remains the same!!!! 🙌

Cardio alone does not equal fat loss. It should be thought of as an extra tool to use with your strength training and proper diet…
If you’re eating less than your body burns each day, your body has no choice but to tap into its stored blubber 😌
Excessive cardio becomes an issue for folks when hours and hours are invested in it because: ⠀
Your appetite gets ramped up 😟
Your chances of losing muscle are increased 💪👎
Your hard efforts can be ruined in one single snack 🥜🍎
And it’s tough to stick to an intense schedule, especially with everything else you have going on 😣
So, if you want to use cardio as a handy tool to speed up the process… ⠀
HIIT Cardio (High-Intensity Interval Training) is my favorite for that 🙃
It’s been shown to burn more body fat, lower the chance of losing muscle, and the best part, you’ll spend less time doing it ✅
HIIT Workout Example📝
After a 3-5 minute warm-up of low intensity, you’ll be alternating between:
Max output (30 seconds)
Moderate output (60 seconds) (active recovery) ⠀
For the duration of 20 to 30 minutes without stopping in between (this can be much less if you are new to HIIT) 😅
The treadmill, rowing machine, and bike are great for this method of cardio🏃♀️🚣♀️🚴♂️
End with another 3-5 minute cool down…
Bonus: You can also do 15 minutes of HIIT and then 15 minutes of steady state cardio 😤
2 to 3 sessions a week is all you need so it doesn’t interfere with your workouts, and it’s your preference, but I always enjoyed doing HIIT on non-lifting days🏋️♀️
And of course, this is not any magic solution — it’s a useful tool that may be a more enjoyable option for you to help stay consistent…
Along with using cardio more as a strategic tool, rather than doing excessive amounts 5-6 days a week 💯
