We have met so many new beautiful faces over these past 7 months, and are feeling extremely grateful for these new friendships 🌠💖
To be honest, some of these new friends were people I never expected to vibe with in the first place, but then after getting to know them, it just clicks- you are totally my people 🙌 (A really nice reminder to once again never judge a book by its cover!) These people, new friendships and old, were there for us during our first ever event (some couldn't physically be there, but we still got so much support from them) ❤❤
My nerves were all over the place leading up to Sip & Shop, and to have so many people check up on me was so lovely. And to those amazing souls who literally rocked up to lead teams, to take photos, to get video footage, and help out in any other way (including sharing our event), or even just attending- you guys rock! 🙌😍
Some of us may only be new friends, but if you can support us like you did Saturday, well just know we are here to return the favour 💖 What are friends for? 😘
Looking forward to seeing these new friendships grow, while nurturing our existing friendships (not sure why this turned into a gardening metaphor? 🙈🤨🤔😅), but you get the gist of it haha.
Anyways my last soppy post for awhile...maybe..but thank you for new and old friendships for making our first ever event that more memorable 💖❤😘😘 Dani Xx
Daisies in Vase (encaustic wax on cradled board) will be available at @downlandsart over Carnival of Flowers exhibition week. Unlike a lot of my work, this piece is stripped down of detail and kept very simple. Starting Friday 20th September with a gala opening then continuing till 28th.
// READY MADE // DESIGN SCHEME // This beautiful velvet is the inspiration behind my next ready made piece. With boho vibes and stunning vibrant colours it will create a drool-worthy statement piece! I intend on marrying it with this lush deep teal, textured mustard and contrasting coral.
If you love the look of it and would like more details, please comment below or message me and I'll pass on details!
These four are on exhibition @downlandsart 20-28th September, thats starting this Friday night. (Tomorrow) Plenty of time for a look at the beautiful display -its on for a whole week. Don’t miss it! #downlandsart

He is really trying hard to capture an image that best describes the traffic in Saigon... when you see it for the first time you are gobsmacked and awestruck at the same time but the longer you are here the greater appreciation you have for the finer points of how to move around in this country. This image shows that the traffic moves in all directions at the same time... traffic generally involves motorbikes because cars are so expensive and you quickly understand that these motorbikes can literally carry anything... pedestrians have equal rights and locals move across the busy roads with little concern whatsoever. 👉Have you been Vietnam, specially Saigon? What is your experience with the traffic? 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 share your thoughts in the comment below!!!! #saigon#toowoomba#vietnam

Check out the beautiful 41km #Toowoomba Second Range Crossing. Last weekend in #Queensland , Australia, we celebrated the official opening at a Community #OpenDay event! This iconic piece of #infrastructure will change the way we move on the roads and has contributed to significant #economicdevelopment in the region.
This is what I live for! Big open spaces away from everything. Peace and quiet, and a good friend. We took this last night just out of St George. I’ve been wanting to get this shot for a while and we found the perfect spot to get it. What do you think of cat sunset silhouettes?⠀

Meet Dennis, affectionately saved to our contacts as "Dennis the apple dude"
Dennis has been farming for over 70 years and loves dancing, especially Spanish dancing and a little Two-step.
We get all of our organic apples and pears from Dennis and some beautiful stone fruit during summer. 🍎🍐🍑 #organic#sourdough#pastry#toowoomba#bakery#local#thebakersduck

So humbled to be able to frankly share some of my experiences and what I know about the real effects of drought yesterday at the #womenofthevine lunch held at @fitzys_toowoomba.
With over $10,000 raised for @droughtangels it was a fantastic event not only to support a worthwhile charity but to keep the topic of drought alive and relevant.
If you didn’t know, currently 93% of NSW and 67% of QLD is still in drought. And although drought seems to be a topic (in mainstream media) lost to last year, many farming families and their communities are still doing it incredibly tough.
Of course in a perfect world it would be great for fundraising events to keep the focus of drought in their agenda but even better still there are small things every single one of us can do every day to help out.
These are: *aim to put more Australian grown fresh produce and products in your grocery shop. *if you’re on a road trip somewhere and need a lunch stop or a snack break, take the extra two minutes to pull over at a local cafe instead of a large multinational food chain. *take a trip out west. Skip that overseas holiday and plan to see some of the AMAZING sights in many parts of rural and regional Australia.
*buy gifts online from boutique country stores. There are plenty of great shops out there set up in regional towns. This is particularly something to consider as people start to semi get prepared for Christmas (for you organised bunch at least!) For every dollar spent in a country town, that dollar gets circulated up to 6-7 times. So injecting funds back into these communities is vital.
