It felt extremely good getting out of the city and shooting for once. It’s been a while! Happy to be back in the game with spring & summer around the corner. 😇

Was a nice evening to go out and try a startrail photo at the Foxleigh Church. Was hoping for the Aurora Borealis to make a stronger appearance but it was very weak. Picked up a little of it in the bottom left of the picture though.

Just a sneak of some the signs @saskmade -stop in to check these and many others out! 🌾
Greetings from Khedive....... What better way to celebrate leap year on Feb. 29, than by watching the movie, "Leap Year" with us!!! (poster, with all the info is attached). There'll be a childrens' movie prior to Leap Year, too! And you don't need to pre-register. Munchies & beverages will be available to purchase.
Now, as you know, we DO have chairs the Khedive Hall - but they're the usual wooden ones - so make sure to bring a comfy lawn chair or cushion to sit on if you need a softer place to "park"! See you at the movies!😉. #khedive#tourismsaskatchewan#tourismsask

Our Feature Friday artist this week is fine wood craftsman, John Werle. •
Although influenced by his father’s woodworking as a carver in the 1970’s, John became interested in making wooden boxes in the late 1990’s through his association with the B.C. Craft Council. He is self-taught through his observation and love of nature, his study of Fine Woodworking magazines, textbooks and now websites. As a professional photographer of landscape and nature, he has learned an appreciation of the subtle shapes in wood and how the function of an attractive wooden object can be a place to hold special things of beauty. •
You can witness his love of design and the interplay of the colours and textures of different species of wood in his fine pieces at Handmade House.•
In the next while you might notice a decline in John’s productivity as he has a new occupation… flip through the pictures to the last one!
Here’s a little reminder about our current gallery show, Nature’s Artwork, with Dianne Murphy of Rosthern. This felted wall hanging is eco-printed with eucalyptus with a needle felted chickadee. The show will be in the gallery until March 29th. Drop by and have a look at Dianne’s work.•••

Images from a few days ago. We love our back yard.
I’ve been trying to challenge my creative brain and try new things and I’m learning very quickly how frustrating that experience can be 🤪 did it take me a week to export this from premiere????? Maybe?!!!! Weekend plans ft iPhone camera + mom’s cooking 😋
📍Day 16: Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan (2/3)
Honestly wow. No words can describe this experience. Sleeping in these teepee’s under the beautiful night sky and having essentially the whole park to ourselves really made for the most incredible night. Still can’t believe that this place is right here in Canada - it’s just so magical ⛺️
