1 (16 oz package) frozen chopped broccoli
8 large eggs

⭐️ MY 8 WEEK CHALLENGE STARTS TOMORROW ⭐️ I’ve enjoyed Xmas/New Years holidays and spending time with my loved ones 🥰. Like many of you, we’ve had a lot of family get togethers during the holiday period. Being Samoan/islander, it’s no secret that our gatherings usually involve a lot of food and often it’s hard to say no to my mum’s pineapple pie, my cousin’s mango cheesecake and it doesn’t help that my uncle and aunty make killer beef/pork ribs 🤣 Also we’ve just returned from our family trip to the GC which is where this photo was taken. During our trip overseas, I did my best to keep active and keep training but just like many of you who go on holiday, my eating wasn’t perfect 🙋🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I admit I ate 1 too many of the infamous Coles 40% chocolate chip cookies that all the kiwis go crazy over, the coconut loakers biscuits my niece introduced me to and had a couple of Hungry Jacks whoppers here and there 🤭🤣 So, now that we’re back home and holidays are over, it’s time to get back on track 💯🏋️♀️. I will be starting my own 8 week challenge tomorrow. When are you starting yours? Do it with me and count down the next 56 days together 🙌🏽. It’s the start that stops most people. For a long time, I lived a life not knowing my own self worth. I allowed people, circumstances, and my environment to reflect that. I allowed people to treat me poorly, and I was surrounded by those that fed my ego instead of feeding my soul and my higher self. On paper my life was great, but inside I was hurting. I was empty. And my body was so desperately trying to tell me that things needed to change by responding with an overwhelming amount of anxiety that began to cripple me. It took me a long time to realize that what was happening was that my physical body was rejecting my surroundings. I craved freedom from that pain. And one day - it all clicked. I realized that the anxiety I was experiencing was really my own bodies alarm system going off that change needed to happen. So that’s what I did. I cut off people that did not reflect my higher purpose. I made drastic changes. I began listening to my truth and doing the work I felt called for. I started working on myself. I dove deep into understanding who I am, what my power is, and following the path that is destined for me. It’s been an incredible awakening and by no means has it been an easy journey. Today, I sit here and feel so incredibly proud of how far I have come and have nothing but excitement and gratitude for what lies ahead of me. Ask yourself these things regularly: Do you feel like you know your worth? Does your environment reflect that? Are you serving your purpose? This understanding can elevate you to levels far beyond what you thought possible, and it all starts with you.

The top 3 questions I’ve gotten since announcing my pregnancy:
1. Are you scared to gain weight?
2. What will happen to your tummy tuck?
3. What are you going to eat?
So I thought I’d take some time tonight to address these questions☺️
1. NO - I am not scared of gaining weight .. and let me tell you why. Since I reached my initial goal weight near the end of 2018 I have never ONCE worried about gaining the weight back. I have never once been concerned I would “slip back in to old habits”. Sure I spent 2018 focusing on “weightloss”.. but not just the physical.. but mental and am emotional as well. I journaled, I talked through my feelings, I challenged myself to make sure my mind was strong, I did everything in a repetitive fashion to solidify my new habits. Not only that BUT .. I lost 120lbs in 10 months following a simple yet amazing plan that is now the guideline for my everyday diet, with a support team like no other @21daymealplan#mealplanbabes .. I will be WELL equipped to continue my post partum journey when that time comes 💕
2. Tummy tuck: first things first - YES having a baby post tummy tuck is completely safe💛! I can’t tell you what will “happen” to it post partum or how my skin will respond ... but I can tell you that I’m in the best shape of my life. I was 260lbs my last pregnancy, so physically and mentally I am in a much healthier place.. which is my focus for now ☺️
3. To be honest I don’t know why I’m getting this question so much 🤷🏽♀️ maybe because pregnancy often comes with cravings ? Either way I will continue to eat how I always do .. and when cravings strike I will eat .. much like I do now 😂. I think one of the most common misconceptions about pregnancy and eating is that you’re “eating for 2” this is false.. and probably why I was over 300 pounds when giving birth to both girls. The 1st trimester it is not necessary to add any additional calories, 2nd trimester 350 or so, and 3rd 450 or so. So basically I’ll continue to eat intuitively and add a couple snacks to my day to day as time goes on.
This body has shocked me so much the past 2 years. It is strong and I know it will carry me through💪🏾❤️
