Well, we aren't the ones who fill their planners with the usual touristy stuff, but if we didn't show Bono these man-made lakes and monuments, the trip wouldn't have been complete... The incredulous beauty of Lake Pichola (too hot to take a boat ride though), amazed at how the water from Fateh Sagar Lake gushes through the sluice gates, the majestic City Palace and the colourful Hatipole Market (will save it for a later post. You will see pics in my stories)...
Though, we didn't have enough time to explore the museum, we promised Bono that once he grows up a bit more, we shall be back. So that he is able to do an in-depth appreciation of the history embedded in the city... When Bono and his Papa can have detailed discussions of the Rajas fighting the wars and what not! While ageing Mamma tries to catch up with them squinting up at the blazing sun!!! .
At AM+A the team are experts in helping destinations stay on trend with the media, and in the past few weeks we have secured some epic coverage.

Sometimes what looks "bad" to us right now turns out to be exactly what we needed.
TOP FIVE TUESDAY — the latest in #tourismnews#traveltrends for our DMO Industry partners, clients, and peers. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
—— This Week’s Top 5 ——
1️⃣ Win a trip to...somewhere? BVK launched an innovative campaign “Destination Unknown” with an unknown destination is the first to market a destination without a location in the campaign. Pretty clever, y’all. This has all kinds of #FOMO psychology.
2️⃣ Several articles this week discuss how a good significant amount of travel decisions are made when the traveler is in-market. It’s a misconception that the marketing job is done when the traveler visits. What more can you influence your traveler to do to enhance their experience and create a life-long relationship?
3️⃣ Big props to our friends @visitsavannah for the news about their partnership with @conversant_life and focusing on people, not just clicks and demographics. This trend of habit marketing isn’t going anywhere, individualizes the audience and the authentic results look fantastic.
4️⃣ Recent research shows destinations aren’t any closer to the magic formula with influencers. Unclear expectations, expensive hostings and other factors are frustrating destinations and influencers (btw, don’t call them that anymore). We think trying to “beat practice” human relationships is where it’s getting stuck. Treat opportunities individually.
5️⃣ Speaking of people, Egypt launched a “People to People” campaign that everyone is raving about, and has attracted the most prestigious world travel awards. We love how they use narrative psychology to connect the traveler with the community. Well done!
It is assumed that the Canary Islands were named after canary birds, but the location was named after dogs. Although it’s off the coast of northwestern Africa, the archipelago is part of Spain. In Spanish, the area’s name is Islas Canarias which comes from the Latin phrase Canariae Insulae or “island of dogs.” For any travel requirement, contact us at +912261476583 or Email us at email@example.com

In 2009, the Mister and I came to Mussoorie for the first time as a married couple. While seeing these pictures today I realised that he had clicked some portraits of mine that time, too.
Today, he did it again.
The only difference being the presence of the bub playing around while his father asked me to stand here and there for a portrait. .
Nothing really changes actually... Not when your lover's lens is trained at you...
In a chiffon bandhini from Jaipur with an @hm top. .
Monday mornings in Mussoorie need no filter! .
Just a loving Mister with a mood to capture these glorious monsoon colours... .
In a checkered Ragavalli. By the way, I had known this sari to be a Patteda Anchu but very recently I learnt it is not. Many vendors would tell you it is. But it's not. It's not their fault actually. There is too much of confusion regarding this handwoven drape. I suggest you go through the posts of Hemlatha Jain at @punarjeevana to unravel this conundrum
It rained whole night yesterday. At around 3.30 am I suddenly heard a clapping sound. Groggy voiced I said "What's wrong?" .
Wide awake the Mister answered, "Nothing much. I think I heard an insect buzzing. So, I was trying to demolish it." .
After two seconds I remarked, "Well okay, but why are you awake at this unearthly hour?"
. "Because I'm normal. I don't know how Bono and you are sleeping like logs. With the lightning flashing in the sky so frequently!" .
I sat up with a smile and said, "Well because we sleep with our eyes closed baby. And we do not stare at the black sky to see how frequently the lightning is flashing!" .
So that was last night. Today morning was languid. We chatted up a storm inside the room, ate yummy aloo paranthas and chatted some more. Before heading out in the rain to eat lunch... That's us. Living life in the mountains just as it should be lived. Slowly... .
Picture by the bub, a day before he turns seven! .
