So as some of you may know I recently became a travel business owner. Sound terribly exciting? It is. I used to be exciting. I used to do exciting things and go to exciting places all the time. This new opportunity reminds me of the old exciting me. The one who has vanished from view these last six years and 22 days since becoming a Mum.
So on Friday night, with some hesitation but an equal amount of delight, for the first time in six years I waved my kids off to do something purely for me. I was away for 26 hours in total but it might as well have been 26 days - such was the novelty.
I went to a conference in London for my new travel business to gain certification, to meet new suppliers and some of the team. I deliberated about going but It was the right decision. Aside from who I met and what I learnt it really was good for me not to give my kids a second thought. Harsh but true.
As I broke the news earlier in the week the eldest immediately asked what I would be making for supper and the youngest said she was looking forward to missing me. Yep. No idea either.
Jump forward to today and I’m back in residence. I found myself sitting in a chair with a sleepy girl in my lap and yesterday feels like all but a distant memory.
I needn’t have worried that I was stepping away from the kids to go and do something for myself. I don’t have to choose about being one thing or another. I am and can be both I and I will succeed in both.
And let’s be frank. It’s me. I’m always going to be exciting. #mums#parenthood#workingmum#workfromhome#metime#traveljob#travelindustry#travelbusinessowner#children#guilt#morethanjustamum#parenting#whatnokids
What a lovely first day we've had! 🥰
Early arrival got us an afternoon in the jacuzzi, and enjoying the sun. ☀️
I didnt think we'd be getting another holiday in this year but this 'babymoon' has been much anticipated and I'm so glad we decided to squeeze in one last "just us" holiday. ❤
I now cant wait to start planning family trips and travels for when bubble arrives 👪💙💚 something I didnt think we'd be affording any time soon but now being able to book my own travel, get discounted rates and extras, AND get paid back commission on all my own bookings, means our family getaways can be closer than we thought! 🤩✈ I'm already so grateful for what this opportunity is doing for myself and my family! 🥰
Yesterday I spent the day learning in London at our Dream Maker Event, I had the best day and learnt so much!
Never stop learning, for when we stop learning we stop growing 💯 ... excited to see where this opportunity takes me and my business partners ✈️🌎 if you can picture it in your mind you can hold it in your hands!! Pushed myself out of my comfort zone and went by myself but I met the nicest lady as soon as I got there, so like minded 💕
I've had a busy but exciting day so far replying to messages from people who want to know how they can earn through their love of travel! 🙊 However, there was only so long I could stay in the house with the lovely smells of the slow cooker teasing me so I went over to the park for a walk and some fresh air 🌿
Just been looking for a trip to Dubai next year for myself. ☀️
To stay in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel would cost me £1781 for 7 nights next September but because i am an Independent Travel Agent it will only cost me £973 - That’s a massive SAVING of £808!! 😵 ...and then on top of that i will also earn comission back off my holiday!!
This is because i was able to complete my Jumeirah training for FREE online in my own time. This discount is accross the whole Jumeirah list of hotels from London to Dubai to Maldives! 🌴
If you already travel or want to travel more, what do you really have to lose! 🌎💫 #Dubai#Jumeirah#jumeirahbeachhotel#travel#adventure#wonderlust#travelbusinessowner#travelagent

. * Long post - but worth the read 😘 *
When something goes wrong, for most people, their first natural response is to blame someone else.
If something isn’t going to plan, we usually find an excuse to justify the reason why.
And when life become hard and obstacles appear in every direction you turn, it’s easy to give up and think ‘well this is just how life is’.
All of the above was me!
‘I don’t have enough time’
‘My husband works away a lot’
‘I work full time in a demanding job’
‘I have kids’
‘I have no family on my doorstep to help’
And then something changed. I was given an opportunity to change ALL of the above and I grabbed it with both hands.
Was I sceptical? Yes.
Did it seem too good to be true? Yes
Was I scared I would fail? Yes
Did I fear being rejected? Yes
Was I worried about what others thought? Yes
Do I regret asking for more information? No
It is without doubt one of the best things I have EVER done and it all started with me taking a long hard look at myself and deciding it was ME that needed to change.
So, if you’re sat here reading this and ANY of the above resonates, then get in touch. You will NOT regret it 💜
This horrid weather makes me miss spain. Those warm nights on the terrace, days by the pool.😍😍 cant wait till Erin is a little older so i can show her how amazing this world is. So grateful i found this opportunity so i can do just that ✈💖 We are calling it a night as were having a family film night with ice cream and nibbles 😉so i will get back to you all in the morning. If i miss you please dont hesitate to message again to remind me 💙
If you want something different, you’ve gotta do something different.
I’m so glad I did! #travelbusinessowner

So recently I’ve added a few more certificates to the collection! 😁
⭐️ Atlantis the Palm, Dubai
⭐️ Dominican Republic Specialist
The amount of free training this business offers is unreal and the benefits that go with it. Never thought I’d be able to learn more about the amazing places around the world and get rewarded for it! 🙈
...Up next will definitely be my Disney Specialist course. 😍 Who could say no to the chance to learn everything about Disney and get discounted tickets.
Happy Saturday ✨ ⠀
Today we took a bus around the island, stopping at Sant’Angelo for some lunch and a boat taxi round to another beach and thermal spring 😍. The bus journey was an experience on its own 😂. We’d been on the go all day so got take away pizza from the port and got the shuttle back to the hotel. Pizza for lunch and dinner is definitely acceptable in Italy right!? 🍕 Up early tomorrow for another exciting day adventuring 🚤

Home time 🥰
Absolutely shattered but feeling hugely inspired and motivated 💪
Had the most amazing weekend, cocktails with the team, learning about some fab new suppliers that we shall be launching very soon, hearing from our president and Co Founder James Ferarra and product training from James Villas, Rail bookers amongst others ✈️🌏🗻🌅🏖️🏝️ Most excitingly I now have earned my Dream Maker certification 😍
I'm so excited 🤩I found this opportunity because I believe I found the vehicle that will free me from my 9-5😁
Last year, I remember feeling stuck😐 and miserable 😣 going to work each day knowing what I was getting paid was hardly enough to hold me over for 2 weeks and I didn't have a plan to fix it... But now, I no longer worry about my future and I'm ready to show other hardworking women who feel stuck and miserable a better way.
We've all been there at some point, but this mindset ➡️ stagnation🤦🏽♀️. Take that first step, do that thing you've been wanting to.....believe you got this, because I know you do🙌🏾😎🙂 GET UP AND GET GOING!
Are you an UNPAID travel agent?? 👀🥺 An unpaid travel agent is someone who: ✨Travels ✨Books their own trips ✨Checks the reviews to make sure they’re staying in the right places ✨Shops on different sites to make sure they’re getting the BEST price ✨Takes pictures on vacation and posts them online ✨Visits new restaurants and tell their friends about them ✨Visits attractions and take more pictures and videos ✨Plans and books trips for friends/family
Sotto’er celo de Roma 🌝 I captured this pink sky when I sat down on a random staircase and ate some gelato. I remember it being so peaceful here; even though it was right down the street from the busy scenes at the Trevi Fountain.
Rome is filled with famous and historic monuments, as well as well-known parts of the city. I was in Rome during the heat wave- it was between 90-100° every day, and I was just thankful for the air conditioner in my Airbnb💓 ((pro tip: always look at what’s included in your booking! Some may restrict you from using the kitchen, it may not have a washing machine, or AC!))
Here we GROW AGAIN! When your son comes to you and says tell me about what you're doing...you get him the information he needs. My son is already an entrepreneur (Wealthy Children), a student and works part time. The mom in me wanted to say "I got us, you just do what you're doing" but the truth is he would find another way (he was already looking at other opportunities)! He chose the BEST place on the Plannet and I am proud to welcome and congratulate my newest business partner Daniel Whatley!
Congratulations to my AMAZING company on this awesome accomplishment achieved just shy of its 4 year anniversary! Some said we wouldn't make it past the 1st year, but not ONLY did we make it, we've reached one heck of a milestone in this short period of time!
Happy Weekend from Ischia 🇮🇹. Holidaying with a toddler is HARD. especially when said toddler is over tired and refusing to sleep 🤦🏼♀️ Queue tantrum central. It’s a good job she’s so scrumptious 😍. We’ve had quite a quiet day today trying to relax a little as Penelope won’t sleep when there are sights to see and people to talk to 😂. Got a full on exploring day planned for tomorrow when we’re all recharged. ⠀
Hope you all have a lovely weekend ✨
People say to me I don't have time to build a business because I have a full-time job or my job is too demanding or stressful to take on more work. I get it, I work full-time in mental health which can get pretty stressful and can be emotionally demanding.
However, I would much rather spend my early mornings, evenings and weekends working on achieving my own dreams rather than the only 37.5 hours of work I do in a week is helping to fund the lifestyle and achieve the dreams of someone else way up in the company I work full-time in.
I FEEL ON TOP OF THE WORLD RIGHT NOW! I've just hit a major milestone in my travel business and I've only been in it just over two months 😍😍 When I started the business I made a promise to myself to never work for anyone else again! And now I never will 🙌🙌🙌
I started my business in Cambodia, have travelled with it through Thailand, Malaysia, home in the UK and soon New Zealand! And while I've been home I haven't had to be confined to certain hours, I just work when I want to at home with a cup of tea! ☕
So if you want to work from home, travel and not stop, earn an extra income or just save money on your own travel... SEND ME A DM! I will tell you everything I know and walk you through it all

These are the views I need in my life 24/7 🌴 I honestly love every minute of what I do- browsing and booking amazing holidays for people is SO much fun. And helping others do the same is even better ✨ The only ‘downside’ is I end up wanting to go on the holidays I’m booking for others...which isn’t too bad I guess!🤷🏼♀️

It was honestly the best thing I ever did starting my own travel business- all that time doing something I wasn’t passionate about, I didn’t see how truly important it was to be living what you love 💛 ————————————————

😱 Do you ever fear that a client is going to try to sue you for you for something that goes wrong on their vacation?
I’ve seen this happen over and over, especially in Facebook groups...
A travel expert shares a story and is panicking because they are afraid of what might happen as a result of their client having a poor experience. 😢 .
One of the best things I could read recommend to any agent is to make sure you are documenting absolutely ALL COMMUNICATION with your clients!
Take screenshots of Facebook messenger, texts, etc. And after every phone call, follow up with an email message to your client with an overview of what was discussed on the phone. ☎️ .
That way, if something happens, you will have a record of what conversations took place when and if you need them! 🙌
However many agents forget to do this and find themselves in a pickle…
(We all like pickles but not THAT kind of pickle!)
