“Creativity takes courage. It is not enough to place colors, however beautiful, one beside the other; colors must also react to one another. Otherwise, you have cacophony. " ~Matisse
Carnevale, Carnival, Mardi Gras -no matter what you call it, it is our favorite party on earth. From the flower floats in Nice, France to the tales of the Dama Bianca in Cervinia, Italy to the allegorical floats in Torres Vedras Portugal, we have loved every carnival celebration we have attended with more to come we hope! This image was from @CarnevaleViareggio, a celebration second only in size to the infamous Venice Carnevale, and no less impressive.

What. A . View. He said, to the fog, who responded in kind: “who are you?” Touche... touché...
Memories atop windswept Mt Princeton. Colorado’s moss drenched #fourteener .
Or, as Peter Matthiessen put it “The secret of the mountain is that the mountains simply exist, as I do myself: the mountains exist simply, which I do not. The mountains have no "meaning," they are meaning; the mountains are. The sun is round.”
Parc Güell is one of mine and my shoulder pads FAVORITE places to visit in Barcelona. .
Designed by one of Spain’s most famous architects, Antoni Gaudí, this park is as whimsical as they come. The great view of the city isn’t that bad either. 😉
Try to avoid the crowd of tourists and enjoy the magical view by arriving at sunrise or sunset. We tried to get there at sunrise, but as you can see.. we failed. The view was still worth it though!

Small but mighty, there are so many cool things to do in Hanoi. Vietnam’s capital has a tonne of character. There are the historical landmarks, the buddhist temples, the market hustles and crazy traffic, not forgetting the food, fashion and pretty lakes.
Ya know how when you go on vacation and all give a f’s go right out the window?!
You don’t care if your hair is a frizzy mess. Or if you even put a drop of makeup on. Or heck you rock that bathing suit you’ve always wanted to and you do it with confidence. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if we lived unapologetically like that every day?! Oh what a beautiful world it would be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Kyoto’s historic Gion district is famed for its stone-paved alleyways with wooden machiya (townhouses), where kimono-clad geisha en route to entertain at local ochaya (traditional teahouses) are an everyday sight. In fact, visitors from other parts of Japan often visit the Gion district dressed in kimonos to show respect. But in recent years, travelers have reportedly been causing a ruckus trying to photograph the residents of this deeply traditional area, even trespassing on private property to get their ideal shot. Now, a fine has been implemented for anyone trying to take pictures of geisha in Gion. Learn more at the link in our bio. Photo by @nikkthequick. #afarmag#traveldeeper
