“Paris is always a good idea” - Audrey Hepburn 🇫🇷 I’m in Paris this week celebrating my birthday this Saturday, Oct 19th (don’t miss my stories for the most bits!). It’s been so nice exploring the city (my 4th time here I think!) on our own timeline, talking and walking, and just being with each other. Not as parents, not as business owners, just ourselves. ✨ Thanks for making this birthday wish come true @svalins. Can’t wait to celebrate the next decade of my life with you 💛

The first time that I dreamed of visiting Paris was back when I was in college. We studied about the life of Jose Rizal and how he traveled to Europe and was in Paris during the year the Eiffel tower was completed.
Did not really think much of it then because I thought its just impossible for it to happen. God has proven me wrong again. "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise instead he is patient for your sake."

Have you shopped here?
The epicentre of temptation! Everything you didn't know you needed, and a lot of what you do, all in one super cool store. I didn't know I needed seven different styles of feather duster - I do now!!
Café upstairs, some very Frenchy fashion around the corner, and they even rent an apartment in part of the building.
Return often, as a lot of their giftware and fabulous children's toys change over regularly. The Christmas toys are just brilliant - can't wait for this year's!

🇬🇧 “Gotta find me an angel
To fly away with me
Gotta find me an angel
Ooh and set me free”
_ You’ll find angels everywhere in your life. And sometimes in unexpected places. And they’ll bring light out of darkness. .
🇫🇷 “Je dois me trouver un ange
Qui avec moi pourra s’envoler
Je dois me trouver un ange
Ooh et me libérer”
GRATITUDE is one of the highest frequency emotions we can feel 💖 a grateful heart is a healthy heart.
Gratitude is a choice... and Mama has not been choosing it this week 🙊🙅🏻♀️ the kids are both in veeeery difficult seasons right now. I don’t even know where the days go— but I feel them slip by faster + faster with every, “no!” and “please listen to me”
I get frustrated + impatient... and then feel all the mom guilt + shame after they’ve fallen asleep and look like little angels or do something sweet. All negative emotions. Low frequency weights that drag me, and everyone around me, down. Which just turns into a nasty cycle, ya know? 😳 the law of attraction is the real deal.
We don’t get to choose what happens to us or around us (or if our children are going to be wild animals), but we do get to choose how we respond and with what emotions. Today is a new day and I’m choosing gratitude + joy— because life is pretty spectacular in the grand scheme of things, ya know?
Honestly I used to roll my eyes a little at gratitude journals 😬 whoopsies. But especially in this season with the kids, I think it’s necessary for me. Jesus has dumped grace on grace on grace on us— He deserves my gratitude all day everyday.
And even if I’m in just one of those funks and struggling to find something to be grateful for on earth, He is still good + worthy of my gratitude. Because even when I’m lowly + ungrateful, He chose to die for me.
Off to throw on some worship while I list what I’m grateful for today ✌🏼if you’re on the struggle bus too, will you join me?!
Back from a week in France and obviously my favorite part of the trip was all the delicious food ❤️ Here’s a few of the restaurants we went to if you’re ever in Paris or Beaune and want to check them out 🙌🏻
Chez Georges @chezgeorges1964 casual French bistro with a cozy atmosphere. I went with the sole in a cream sauce and was amazing!
L’Ardoise- another French bistro with a prix fixe menu (or you can order a la carte). The snail, mushroom + bacon ravioli was 💯
Le Bon Georges @le_bon_georges this is on the @eater Paris list and is one of our favorites! Their beef tartare is incredible. I’ve eaten there several times and and it never disappoints.
Ma Cuisine- we started going here for the wine list but the food and atmosphere is spot on as well.
La Benaton- this restaurant has a one star Michelin rating if you’re into that but a more casual atmosphere which I like. They also have a prix fixe menu which I always like to do so I can try lots of different food 👍🏻
