Why am I posting a photo of this amazing mini-water park aboard the @norwegiancruiseline Breakaway? Do you remember last week when I told you our Publisher of the Year was on a cruise and I had you try to guess who it was? Well, you’re finding out who TODAY and you can do that one of two ways.
1. You can swipe left on this post. Or ... 2. You can head to our stories (which I highly recommend) and follow her @dreamvacationsfranchise@official_dream_vacations adventure with her family. Or ... (I’m adding a 3rd)
3. Maybe do both. Yes, do both.
We love @mackidjulied and we know you will, too. 🤦🏻♀️ Oops. Did I just spill the beans? Well, that’s OK. I kept you in suspense long enough.
Are you a landlubber or a cruiser? I bet her stories might sway you towards the latter. 🛳
Turns out I was wrong... As I sat and organized some travel photos in my phone, I realized the pictures that bring me the most joy are the ones of my kids excited by and embracing our travels.
My true passion is seeing the world 🌎 through my kids eyes and making unforgettable memories with them.
Reece stared at Amsterdam from behind this glass at the top of the @adamlookout and I was in awe with how amazed he was.
If you ever visit @iamsterdam go here for the incredible views and also the silly but very fun swing picture (or maybe you will be brave enough to get on the real swing at the top of the lookout 😏. • day 15 of #cherisheveryday365

The Dead Sea at 423m below sea level is the lowest place on Earth. .... and our second day trip from Amman Jordan.
When we left Amman it was only 5 degrees but by the time we drove out to the Dead Sea, the temperature had gone up to around 18. So we decided we had to take a dip in the Dead Sea. With a salt content of 34%, it is nearly 10 times more salty than the ocean! It feels like you’re swimming or more accurately, floating, in gravy. We also had to do the classic floating while reading a book/newspaper pictures.
We did manage to find one of only a few free places to hop in the water. Most people pay a day fee to a resort to swim in the sea. A handy hint though is to bring enough fresh water to rinse off if you do it on your own. You’re left with a crusty but still greasy feeling on your skin if you don’t rinse well.
On this day trip we also checked out Mount Nebo, which according to tradition, is where Moses viewed the promised land of Canaan. We brought leftovers for a picnic lunch on the way down to the Dead Sea afterwards
We were lucky enough to be in France for Bastille Day last July, and the local villages were celebrating the national holiday with costume parades, celebrations of regional traditions, fireworks, and community-wide parties that went long into the night. I was reminded of it today in another context and it got me thinking, so I thought I’d share one of my pics from that day, when we caught a spectacular and skilful display of traditional Camargue horsemanship in one of the villages. The display was fantastic, but we headed home when it was followed by bull running through the narrow lanes of the village. Bull running and bull fighting remain part of the cultural heritage of the region, but they’re not something we could ever comfortably support. I was so proud when my animal-loving boys said they didn’t want to watch, as they felt sad for the bull and, given the choice, they wanted to leave. It was a thought-provoking experience and led to a great conversation with the boys about animal rights and, more generally, about the conflict between maintaining traditions and cultural practises when modern sensitivities and understanding arguably no longer condone them. I believe to my core that travel is one of the strongest educational tools available to us. It not only teaches us first-hand about the world around us, about different belief systems and cultures, and about the past, but it also provides an unbeatable opportunity to learn about ourselves, defining our own moral code, developing compassion for and acceptance of those around us, and determining what we want for our future 💛 tldr: pretty ponies & travel is awesome and teaches us everything 😆 #camarguehorse#totravelistolive#tradition#learn#familytravel *

We were recently in Siem Reap Cambodia. The number 1,2,3 and 4 and more top things to see are the Angkor Temples.
We were blown away by the sheer amount and size of these ancient structures. This picture see's Marley at the Tomb Raider Temple. This was our favourite Temple.
