Saw this on one of my cycles around the countryside near our cottage. These were tall, old, and well used trees by the local wildlife (had a lot of very cool bird sightings here) which ran along one of the lesser used roads out here. I understand the need for land management and hedgerow maintenance, but this looks a bit excessive. These trees held strong through the heavy winds during the last couple weeks brought in by both Storm Ciara and Storm Denis. This is a bit extreme for simple land management; these trees won’t be coming back again. It’s especially troubling to see this sort of thing while at the same time many of the small villages in our county are losing more and more land to cheap housing developments. #suffolk#suffolkcounty#suffolkcountryside#suffolkcountycouncil#eastanglia#stowmarket#conservation#wildlifeconservation#habitatconservation#landmanagement#trees#ukcountryside
I feel like I want to begin a series called “red phone boxes” as I can’t help taking photos of them. They are becoming rarer and often converted for alternative uses. Our village phone box has been turned into a mini art gallery and book share and swap point. This one in Snowshill still holds a phone and like the village is perfectly unspoilt. ❤️ #cottage#cottages#cottage#escapetothecountry#snowshill#quaint#redphonebooth#phonebooth

☔️🌪☀️The weather might be uncertain at the moment, but on thing we can be certain of is the amount of compliments you’ll receive if you wear our Lady Usk reclaimed wooden watch ☔️🌪☀️
While I surround each moment today with gratitude, I am also talking with friends who are struggling. “This too shall pass”. I’m here to listen, to laugh and to cry with you. Be honest with yourself, take your time, NEVER be pressured by society or peers, make your own choices and let love flow freely towards you.
“Take new thicke Creame a pine, foure or five yolks of egs, a good handful of flower and two or three spoonefuls of ale, strain them together into a faire platter, and season it with a good handfull of sugar, a spooneful of synamon, and a little Ginger”

🇲🇦I’m not “kidding” when I say my Moroccan goat and chickpea stew is back on the menu this summer! I am excited to announce my new specials next month along with my menu for 2020!
🇬🇧The goat meat is organic and sourced from south Devon which is why this dish last year was always a sell out!
☀️But, this summer I should have enough to keep this incredible dish in the menu from April - September. #biffenskitchen#goatmeat#locallysourcedmeat
Do you ❤️ going for a walk?
When I'm not at work I ❤️ going hiking.
This photo is from last spring when I took a hike up Ingleborough in North Yorkshire. The weather was amazing (unlike now). ☔I'm really looking forward to the weather improving and getting out in the countryside more often this year.🏕️⛰️🏞️
As an architectural technologist I spend a lot of my time indoors working on my computer. It's SO important to get away from your screen and get outside.👍
Stick a Y in the comments if you agree.
PS - when I am at my computer I help to redesign people's homes. 🏡 Be sure to message me if you need help with this.😀

Even more from the moor. I love the way the colour comes out on film.
