It takes wonderful kind of friend who would say yes to running 48.6 km in gale force winds and biting rain on a Sunday in February 😂 @newfoundrunner thank you x. I would have done this on my own but it would have been way less fun!
We ran the Amberley to House Dean Farm section do the route which is 46km. With a bonus of a not so nice road run in back to the car at Falmer.
If you have read my recent blog then you’re ill known I do love a good recce and this is just the start!
Really happy with the pacing and the fuelling was pretty good too.
3 gels, 4 min sausage rolls, 1 cheese and pickle wrap and some Jaffa cakes. Plus 2x500ml of tailwind and 1lt of water.
Now it’s Monday and time for the next week of the plan. 🤘🏻 #reccerun#casualultra
The process of ticking off each session, day by day, makes those finish line feelings that little bit sweeter.

Corsendonk Agnus Tripel, 7.5% ABV. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a soapy white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, fruit. Taste is cereal malt, yeast, banana, apple. Easy drinking and smooth but the flavours all seem a bit bland and generic @corsendonkbier
Most of our electricity comes from power stations that use fossil fuels like coal and oil.The power stations burn the fossil fuels to make our electricity and in that process a LOT of greenhouse gas is made, including carbon dioxide and methane. This is why they are called dirty sources of energy.
It is the greenhouse gases that are causing the Earth's atmosphere to warm, which scientists tell us will cause the climate to change. Coal, oil and gas are non-renewable sources of energy because we can only use what is available and once they have been used up, that's it!
We have already found ways to tap into the energy of the sun, wind, waves and water, amongst other things.
Week 7: Ultra Marathon Week.
Had an event on Sunday, so did only 3 short, medium intensity runs.
. #tataultra : #50km :900+ elevation : 4:40:41 hours.
The event went superb, right from the beginning till the finish line. Took initial 30km easy and decided to push in the last 20km. Uphill running is not my strong point so utilised all the downhills pretty well.
Really enjoyed the last 5km hustle with 4 other runners and finally managed to outrun 3 of them. Had a very positive mindset throughout the run, did not focus on fatigue or cramps, just kept running.
Had 5dates, half Snickers and one Redbull along with water and salt at almost every water station. During the end of the race had a little Coke too.
Met few old friends and made new ones. Shared our thoughts about the event, training and future plans.
Got to meet national level athletes who have represented India on a global level on multiple occasions.
Congratulations to @wanderer_nupur
for killing the route and winning the podium. .
A very big thanks to my wife, @er.anjalitomar who waited for more than 4.5 hours for me. Thank God I didn't cut a sorry figure.
Event was very well organised, couldn't have asked for a better support from the volunteers. Post race physiotherapy and meal was superb and helped to recover quickly.
It takes a special kind of crazy to run 24 hours!
TATA ULTRA 50km 🏃🏻♀️
Last few weeks, life has been through a roller coaster ride.
The prolonged viral fever sucked all the energy & the confidence from me!
Barely managed few runs in the entire month and I had decided not to attempt Tata Ultra 50km this year due to body weakness & lack of proper training.
Well, mind & heart are always at a conflict ! 😊
A voice within me whispered “Strength is not the ability to carry burdens. Strength is also the ability to fail, an ability to come crashing down so hard and yet dare to rise again” !!! .
And with that simple thought I decided to attempt #TataUltra50km just like my regular Sunday routine with a different route, zero stress and no pressure on the time target. .
All I wanted was to have this run as my ‘Comeback Run’ - gain back the lost confidence, gain back the self belief, gain back the endurance & gain back the ultra runner in me!
RUFA Grandeur Peak 2/22/20. 6 hour time slot. 3rd place for women and 15th overall out of 128 runners. 🎉 3 laps, 4 hours 43 minutes.
I run for health, I run because I love it, I run because in running I find beauty, I run because I find freedom in feeling the wind on my face, the sound of my breath, the joy of the sunrise and the challenge of becoming better with every step. #rufa#grandeur#runtoinspire#ultrarunning#trainhardplayhard#lovewhatyoudo#diseasefighter

~Dream more than others think is practical~😎 .
When you watch all of the tourists in line and then jumping up and down (literally) for the perfect photo on a ledge under a “delicate” arch... sometimes it’s better to just have some distance. Hence my awkward Arches NP photo that you can see here. This is me the morning after my 55k, trying my best not to roll away into the abyss at the bottom of this ledge, struggling to maintain consciousness. What do y’all do for fun?
Finally a week of (somewhat) consistent running again. I say somewhat because I was hit by the flu midweek and had to rearange my schedule. Also I changed an intervall session to an easy run. Not 100% fit again but I needed the consistency. ⛰
I have a long road ahead but I am certain that I will make the best out of it. I mean, I moved here for a reason!
I am beyond stoked to be teaming up with @dirtbagrunners, a global community of like-minded runners who aren't afraid to get down and dirty in the pursuit of epic adventures! Bare feet and wearing bits of trees is considered a fashion win; mud and blood = our badge of honour!
𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙎𝙀 𝘼𝙍𝙀 𝙈𝙔 𝙋𝙀𝙊𝙋𝙇𝙀!
The only thing more mighty than my goals is the community that will embolden me to crush them.
Sunset dog relay! A very excited mile with Hops, who is still my #1 running pal despite her distance limit; 3 miles with Venkman; cool down with Jasmine and Swizzle 💛

I've been loving all these coastal miles I’ve been logging in preparation for the Siuslaw Dunes. Today was a nice, long out and back route from Arch Cape to the Nehalem Bay that gave us a little bit of everything.
