6am Barralates class today was so much fun! Alexis told us, “This is music you would hear at a Mexican wedding!” Our ladies love the workout! We average 500-800 calories burned an hour in this high cardio wake up call!! Our ladies are so open to news things, and we love that they enjoy the workout and our Latin music!! Thanks to our 6am Barralates babes who keep showing up and getting better every week! We love your spirit and energy to try new things and conquer them while most other people are still asleep! Breathing techniques to calm and relax yourself after a stressful day:
❇️pursing you’re lips on the breath out, breathe in for a 2 count, breathe out for a 4 count. The focus here is to release all the air in the lung before taking another breath.
❇️belly breathing: the focus here is to extend your abdomen to get in deeper breath
❇️breathe in for 4 count, hold for 7 count, release breath for 8 count; this slows your breathing pattern down for a more relaxed state
❇️count it out! Find a rhythm that feels comfortable and just count out your breaths. This soothing rhythm will help you focus on calming down

I do not adjust myself and neither should you. "Cracking" your back doesn't fix the underlying problem. That's why your "relief" is only short lived. If you self "crack" too much it can be pretty bad for your joints.
Here is a life/fitness update if y’all are interested! I decided to change my workout routine to 2 full upper body and 2 full lower body days. Before I was doing a push/pull split but I was getting bored of my routine and also felt like I wasn’t hitting every muscle group frequent enough. Now I am going to be trying to hit each muscle group 2x a week. -
Alsooo going to start upping my cardio and eating in a deficit in March because summer is going to be coming up! I know it’s like 3 months away but California summer comes early 😅 If you’re wondering how to figure out what is a good calorie deficit for you, I use the activity app on my phone to see how many calories I burn a day and then subtract around 300-500 calories from that. What not to do when you have extensions in 🚫 WAIT LONGER THAN 2 MONTHS TO GET THEM MOVED UP! My client did a no no and waited too long to come in to remove her extensions, and it ended up getting matted in the back and was a mission & a half to comb out. 🤦🏻♀️ Please don’t follow in her foot steps. But after that bump in the road; we ended up slaying her hair once again! Color and extensions by yours truly ✨🤍
