While everyone is waiting for Space 220 to open, EPCOT rolled out a hot new quick service restaurant in the America Pavilion. If you get there before I do, save me a seat. I heard they have barbecue jackfruit for this Disney Vegetarian. 👌

This sugar skull mural made me smile and reminded me of a great quote:
“Everyone smiles in the same language.”– George Carlin. It's so true! A smile is a great mood lifter! I make it a habit of smiling at total strangers, hoping to cheer them up, if only just for a moment. Here is a long distance smile from me to you --> 😁 What makes you smile? Some pretty great coffee can be found at the end of a dirt road. Baja Beans is located in Pescadero on the way north from Cabo to Todos Santos. You enter through a metal gate and walk through a courtyard past a palapa and hammocks where you will find Baja Beans Coffee. They roast their own beans and make each coffee with care. My latte was really delicious, as was the berry muffin we shared. Not overly sweet or bitter, just a perfectly crafted cuppa joe. Definitely worth a stop!
This Peacock Floral High-low Dress is my absolute favorite dress from our trip. It is a dupe based off of the Hotel Paradiso dress by Spell and the Gypsy that sells for over $325 online. I prefer to spend my money on travel experiences and was was thrilled to find this dress for right around $20. Same boho gypsy style, same colors, slightly modified pattern, $300 savings. That’s a winner in my book! If you enjoy a bargain like I do, you should definitely grab this one while it’s still available. You can shop this look on my blog Ernstopia.com. Just look for "What I Wore in Cabo" where I share 7 beautiful dresses I found, all well under $35!
The food on the Caborey is amazing. I always get the sea bass. Dan always gets something different (jumbo shrimp this time) then tries to "help me" with my dinner. In almost any other restaurant I love to share. In fact we normally plan to share bites and try each others meals, but don't touch my sea bass! 😁 Do you share meals when you go out with your significant other or do you prefer to keep it all to yourself? #sharingiscaring
This place has my heart. Cabo never disappoints and always leaves me longing for more. Seeing the iconic arch at Land's End up close is just magical and makes me feel so content just looking at it. It's easily my favorite landmark.
These cactus are such a novelty to this Oregon grown girl. When you're from the Pacific Northwest, cactus are not something you see on a hike. Our trails are lined with tall fir trees, pines, spruce, and other evergreens. With all the lush green trees along the trail it hardly felt like the desert at all.
This was such an epic experience for us. We've been coming to Cabo since 1995 and had no idea there was a waterfall hike nearby. We've hiked to so many waterfalls in Oregon and Washington, so hiking to a waterfall near Cabo was an absolute must on our trip.
If you're looking for a delicious cup of carefully crafted coffee, then check out Coffee LAB. This was my favorite coffee place in Cabo. (Actually located in San Jose del Cabo). Everything was delicious. Next level flavor and if you have a dairy intolerance, they have a great variety of alternate milk options to choose from. Bonus points for Powder the adorable lab who kept us company while we enjoyed our coffee! Dan ordered the espresso and I ordered the golden (turmeric) latte made with coconut milk. While both were great, the golden latte was on a whole other level of flavor...pure comfort in a cup.
Felt cute, might slip on some gravel later... then fall on the ground, rip my knee up and bust open my camera lens.
(Slide through if you'e ever wondered what the inside of a lens looks like.)
I've had my share of falls. I'm not a stranger to bandages on my knees, but I've never fallen so hard with a camera in my hand. Tripped, stumbled, yes, but not like this. This time I landed hard. My camera flew out of my hand crashed on the sidewalk and my lens rolled off. This was not great. While I sat there assessing the situation I discovered that the lens actually busted apart. The attachment ring was still on the camera, but the end with the glass, miraculously not broken, just broke off.
As I dusted myself off I noticed several locals who witnessed the whole thing, looking pretty concerned for my wellbeing. I yelled out "esta bien" which couldn't be further from the truth, but I didn't want them to worry. I started to hobble away and realized...my knee was totally bleeding. Like running down my leg. Yikes! Luckily we were just a block away from a coffee shop where I was able to get bandages and tape for my lens. What a crazy turn of events.
There is a saying in Cabo "No Bad Days." And while I have found this to be true, sometimes there are in fact bad moments. There's just something about Cabo though. If this had happened somewhere else, on a road trip or even hiking back home, I'm certain it would have ruined the trip for me. As a photographer, busting your equipment is kind of a major bummer. Especially on vacation. I guarantee you I would have let this get to me, but we had so many fun things to look forward to. Like a hike later in the afternoon for starters! I was just so thankful I didn't sprain my ankle. Long story short, most the remaining images from our trip are all shot on my cell phone. Not my first choice, but so very thankful to have a way to continue capturing moments from our trip! #vacationporfavor#cabosanlucas#caboismyhappyplace#ilovemexico#tassels#amazonfashion#bohostyle#vacationista#nobaddaysincabo#coffee#vacationvibes#explorebaja#sanjosedelcabo#bajacalifornia#bajababe#boringgirltravels#goingtheextramile#coffeelab#canon
I love this cover-up tunic dress I picked up before our trip. I wore it as a mini dress when we went out in search of some yummy tacos! I know first hand how hard it is to find cute sun dresses in the middle of winter, so I put together a little shopping guide to help you. All my Cabo outfit details and source links can be found on my blog Ernstopia.com. (What I wore in Cabo) I will be updating throughout the upcoming weeks, so keep checking for new outfits!
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." - Martin Luther King Jr.
I love this quote because in life, so many times we are forced to step out of our comfort zone and do something brave without knowing what the outcome will be. After more than a decade of owning my own photography business, I stepped out of my personal comfort zone and got a part-time seasonal job working for someone else. Doing new things for the first time can be intimidating, but it's often when we try new things that we learn and grow. What new things are you trying this year?
The color yellow is my cure for the winter blues! 💛 For details on what I wore in Cabo, head on over to my blog Ernstopia.com where I will be sharing sources for all the outfits I put together for our trip.
