🌿my take on vegan tempeh gado gado inspired bowls 🌞 made w @sunrice jasmine brown rice 🍚 topped w @organicvillagefood chickpea n linseed tempeh 🌻+ green beans + cauliflower ☁️ + cherry tomatoes 🍅 + corn 🌽 + bean sprouts 🌱 + radish + carrot 🥕 + celery 🥬 + toasted peanuts 🥜 served w spicy peanut dressing 🌶 + lemon 🍋
serves 2-3 ✌🏻
ingredients for tempeh gado gado 🙊
2-3 cups cooked brown rice
1 cup sliced/cubed tempeh
1 cup green beans
1-2 cups broccoli florets (I used cauliflower)
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup corn
1 cup mung bean sprouts (must be washed)
2-3 sliced garden radish
1 stalk of sliced celery
1/4 cup roasted peanuts (crushed or whole)
1 lemon or lime
wash and prepare all vegetables • slice or cube tempeh, and bake or fry until golden brown (I air fried mine on 150°C for 10 mins) • steam/boil green beans, broccoli and corn (optional) • place a cup of cooked brown rice in a bowl • assemble all vegetables + tempeh over the rice • serve w spicy peanut sauce + lemon juice, all mixed up 🙈
ingredients for spicy peanut sauce 🌶
1/3 cup peanut butter (I used @mayversfood roasted peanut butter)
1 tbsp red curry paste (I used @kindnesscafe organic red curry paste)
1 tbsp coconut sugar
2/3 cup hot water
1 tsp tamarind paste
juice of 1/2 a lemon/lime
combine all ingredients and mix (very) well • adjust hot water as required to achieve desired consistency (make sure your sauce is runny or thin to serve) 🌞

Warum auch immer liebe ich Hefeteig im Herbst noch ein bisschen mehr als sonst. Mir kommen die dollsten Ideen, mit was ich dieses fluffige Glück füllen kann. Hier seht ihr meine liebsten Bratapfel-Zimtschnecken mit leckerer Karamellsoße.
Stellt euch mal vor ihr kommt nach einem langen Herbstspaziergang nach Hause, macht euch eine Tasse Tee/Kaffee und legt euch so eine süße Apfelschnecke auf den Teller. Der Zimt steigt euch in die Nase und das noch lauwarme Karamell verströmt seinen Duft. Hach, herrlich, oder? Könnt ihr es riechen?

Here lot of cooking was involved. .
🍲 masal dosa with mint chutney and onion sambar with onion vadai.
. 🍲 Recycled left over sambar and chutney with idlis as another meal .🤭 swipe 👉
Mommying- teaching- learning and regular stuff was a part too. .
Cauliflower fried rice w/ chilies & cilantro - fresh tomatillo - tomatillo relish - cultured almond ricotta stuffed portobello mushrooms - roasted romanesco - pickled radishes - @biotayvr Napa cabbage kimchi - dehydrated harissa - garlic scape powder.
Made this a while ago but never posted it because I really hate my plating decision 🤦🏻♀️ BUT the flavours surprisingly worked really well together. In my CSA from the @ubcfarm we often get pretty random ingredients that don’t typically “go together”. When I was still in Vancouver, I didn’t grocery shop much because I wanted to use my CSA and farmers market visits as my main source during the summer... point of the story - this is a random plate but I think it worked 😂.

VIBE | Visited the gorgeous Five Sales Restaurant at @panpacificvancouver, and I’m thrilled to share they now have a 🌱VEGAN/vegetarian 🌱menu.
- Spacious and neat decor
- Stellar service
- Phenomenal view at Coal Harbour overlooking to the North Shore
- Limited Vegan options (they have multiple vegetarian options)
- Not very filling 😂
🤔Final Thoughts: Five Sails is a great place to come for a date and share a romantic 💕evening or a place to bring your parents if they’re visiting Vancouver. However I wish they came up with more creative vegan dishes other than just wild rice and broccolini.
The time is perfect to place your orders for a delicious #vegan dinner. Consider your options...would you rather spend all day in the kitchen? Or would you rather spend that time with your family and friends, and let them think you you did.

My name is Margi 🖐🏼. I live in San Jose, CA. I am a cook, an avid eater, poet, rapper, storyteller, thinker, fitness fanatic, health enthusiast. I had been lacto-ovo-vegetarian my entire life and had always loved cooking lacto-vegetarian meals.
Recently, however, I learned that I have developed lactose intolerance. At first, I thought fat content in foods was what was causing issues, after months of going on a low fat diet and taking numerous tests, I realized that was not it. I was suffering from a severe case of lactose intolerance for a whole year without knowing. I was a lactose intolerance baby, but it didn’t cross my mind that I could be again. Maybe I just didn’t want to give up cheese lol 🤷🏻♀️. I’ve always flirted with the idea of veganism. As a result, thought it’s the perfect opportunity to start now 🌱, not just because of my intolerance, but also for the animals. I’ve been strict vegan for several months now. I used to be one of those people who says she can’t give up cheese, but I haven’t missed cheese since I started, and frankly find it unappetizing 😅. I’m loving the vegan life 🌱, cooking delicious foods👩🏻🍳, increased energy levels, and all while saving 🐄 and 🥚 🐓. Thank you, again! 🙏🏼 I hope you all continue to enjoy my vegan recipes ☺️. Hummus Wrap With Side Salad (Serves 2)
2 organic quinoa wraps
6 tablespoons of homemade hummus (see recipe below for hummus dip)
6 pieces of roast mushroom (see recipe below for hummus dip)
6 grape tomatoes, halved
2 handfuls of mixed baby spinach and rocket
2 spring onion leaves diced
6 pieces of cucumber, sliced length wise .
Assemble ingredients. Wrap and eat. Serve with a side salad of broccolini, kale, and baby spinach. Nom nom.
Ingredients for Hummus Dip (Serves 6-8 as a dip)
1/4 butternut pumpkin, skin removed and cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 red capsicum, cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 brown onion, quartered
3 cup mushrooms, halved (serves 2 people for the wrap above and is not part of the dip)
A few dashes of black pepper
A few dashes of onion powder
A few dashes of garlic powder
A few dashes of cumin
A few dashes of paprika
A few dashes of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil
400 grams cooked chickpeas
2 1/2 tablespoons of tahini
4 cloves of garlic, minced
6 basil leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Mix pumpkin, capsicum, onion, and mushroom with pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, and oil. Transfer to oven for 30 minutes @ 200 C.
Blend all ingredients together when vegetables are roasted (except for mushroom, which is to be added to the wrap).
Hummus is amazing in wraps, sandwiches, and corn chips. It also goes well with crackers, celery sticks, and carrot sticks. I’ve also mixed it with cooked pasta and it was delicious.
